Guys I love you, but cmon. These are the winners semi finals. We're in top8, the finale of the tournament. Why on earth would you writr 'round 6'. Who knows how deep into the bracket this is. These are winner semis and losers quarters
The tournament this tournament is based off of, Callous Invitational, did not name Rounds until loser's semis and winner's finals. We're doing the same thing. Don't see an issue with it.
Goldmason with all due respect this is good constructive criticism and I hope you guys take it for the future. just because the previous series set a certain precedent doesn't mean it was the right decision then nor does it mean it's worth continuing said precedent. The real precedent that should be followed is the one most other tournaments in effectively every gaming community uses. This is winners semis, that's how most people think of it, including all associated with the influx of new fans for Gen 3 OU who have little history following the scene up until the past ~year
Man every time I start to adjust to callous's narration style he does sommething annoying. He'd be one of the best commentators for this tournament if it wasn't for his ego. Otherwise this was a great set
that was an hp bug aero and celebi would never kill with giga drain so that crit didn't matter thankfully. that was a great set, i love all the teams mana brought (particularly the curse pass jolt into meta was disgusting) and pulling an agility out of nowhere to take game 2 was beautiful, but bihi was just the better player on the day. wp to both of them
It's looser bracket and winner bracket, I have hope we are old enough here to skip the snowflake language. Great match! That last crit was unfortunate, but if that Cele didn't have psychic he might have won without the crit.
Pokemon watchers and players are generally not actually old... But it's irrelevant, there's nothing wrong with calling them upper and lower bracket, it's just as correct.
@@cibinomin6540 wrong point, you're talking about "round 6" vs "losers semis," this comment is talking about "lower bracket" vs "loser's bracket," which doesn't have anything to do with how far into the tournament you are
Hey everyone! Sorry for the break. My computer imploded so I built a new one. Coverage should be up to date before grand finals on the 30th/31st!
Thank you sir
RETURN OF THE KING
Imploded??😨
pokemon is very intensive on your hardware.
@@goldmasonvt you were using a Logitech F710 controller, weren't you?... yeah, they have a bad implosion track record
17:35 Aero hidden power not super effective on medi coming in, it was HP bug
Crit didn't matter changes a lot here.
If it didn't matter, I'm less mad about the ending of that game.
Thank god
That Aero in the last match was hp bug so depending on the set of the celebi that crit might not have mattered
celebi did heaps to both aero and swampert (at least 120 spatk evs) so ill assume it was offensive, crit didnt matter prolly
What's crazy is game 1 and 2 both looked like the other one is going to win.
The best set I've watched this entire tournament. Holy shit

(Also, this is not loser's quarters, next round is)

I also agree, placing emphasis on the importance of the round in the later stages of the tournament is important for viewership and clarity
I think its fine but for others that seem to want it why not switch over :D
this entire set was a big rollercoaster
What the fuck, Brick Break Metagross?!!!!
Wake up baby new jimvitaionals video is up 🗣🗣🗣

MANA, if you are reading this, you are my favorite player!
same!
Was so excited when I heard Callous's voice come onto the mic.
Game 1 starts here 3:00
We are so back.
I think Aerodactyl had HP Bug at the end, it did neutral damage to Medicham.
the fact that the volt absorb electric type can still just be t-waved still baffles me to this day lmfao
Ngl these were some fun games to watch 😂
Im skipping through your intros lol
OMG THAT CRIT IS A MOVIE
weird ego thing at the end of the intro but hopefully rest of these late game rounds dont have as much of that. Maybe best set of bracket :D
Skarmory finally waking up just to roar in a Sleep Powder Venusaur TWICE is so funny
Crazy back and forth sets! GG to both!
This has to be the greatest Thumbnail ever conceived. I am lost for words.
Truly honored I'm alive to witness this masterpiece.
21:33 "late"? Are they dead?
Ban Manaphy was unlucky at the start of g1, leech seed and consecutive hydro misses
a month ago i thought it was the kalos invitational and now im excited to hear callous' voice at the start
Match 1 starts at 2:57
11:41 Why are the damage rolls so widely different on hydro pump? I thought light screen got broken?
ability torrent.
What an explosion for a game 1!!!
Callous!
Tecul
I wanted to scream at the 3rd skarm sleep in game 1, I was near chanting for sleep powder and I was so incredibly pleased that it happened.
IT'S REVIVAL TOURNAMENT'S REVIVAL
It is wild to me that you can thunder wave a jolteon in gen 3
Ya luv to see Raikou do something in 2024
fire set
That ending was disappointing.
It wasn’t a crit that mattered. Aero was Hp bug. Check the hit on medicham, not super effective.
Aro definitely was HP bug it was neutral on the Medicham it was definitely killing the celibi without the crit
make this thumbnail an NFT and give the designer a freaking raise
jimvitational matches are great content to smoke weed to
this is the best set lf the tour

Banded hp bug kills bi crit didn't matter

Once again, massive respect to Callous for intentionally drawing out the intro for the haters.

Interesting set. BiHI threw game 2, Mana threw game 3. Game 1 was a convincing victory by BIHI though.
Make the intros longer!

@@holyknightthatpwns nobody is arguing if its correct or not. its just bad for the viewers not knowing how deep it is into the tournament.

Not the best luck initially but the Metagross almost turned things around.
Ban Manaphy could have won the last one.
