  • Jason Lester ran the 3100 Mile Race for the first time in 2023 after preparing for 13 years. He has had a distinguished career as a triathlete and distance runner. In 2009 he was awarded the ESPY Award winner for Best Male Athlete with a Disability, and he was the first disabled athlete to complete the Ultraman World Championships. Here he speaks about completing 2,700 miles on the final day of the 3,100 Mile Race. About: the Sri Chinmoy Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race is the world's longest certified race. Founded in 1997 by Sri Chinmoy, it has run annually for the past 27 years. Each runner strives to complete the distance of 3100 miles within the allowed 52 days, an average of just under 60 miles a day.

    Jason - what an inspiring person you are ! You are always so positive and deeply sensitive to what this race is really about- the inner journey! I was grateful that I could watch you run and all the runners in person for a few days last week. Seeing your cheerful face was a delight. Congratulations on an amazing 2700 Miles!
