Sunny Hostin on the firing of her friend Don Lemon: “I don’t think it was deserved”

- Sunny Hostin, the lawyer, author and co-host of "The View," shares her take on the firing of longtime CNN anchor Don Lemon. “He’s always respected the women that I’ve seen him around," Hostin told Salon. CNN cut ties with Lemon after comments he made on-air were perceived to be sexist. While Hostin said she agrees those comments were indeed agist and sexist, she disagrees with the network's approach. She added, “How do you get canceled from your career of 17 years after you've apologized for something?"

Would Sunny take this same stance with people she doesn't like? I don't think Don should have been fir3d, but at the same time, I understand why he was let go. To give grace to one, you need tongive grace to all

If Don Lemon is found wanting, how about the entire network? How can a station say it (CNN) won’t allow certain behavior when its own behavior is questionable?
I don’t have the numbers, but I’ll bet CNN’s staff (all those who work behind the scenes, from the bottom up) don’t have the number of employees that reflects the population of women and African-Americans in the nation.
AND if numbers prove me wrong, then compare those with power (CEO) and those without power (custodians).
Basically, those with power within CNN are hypocrites.

No he didn’t. And to do training while so many white politicians and white tv personalities(journalists and opinion hosts) do none although they need all the training in the world to unlearn their racist and bigoted behaviors. This firing shows how there are always different standards for black ppl!
