What about the reverse (r) variants?
Very nice, I love when T tracks let you drive outside of the main road, and this mod showcases some really interesting alternate paths, especially on tracks like Cheep Cheep Beach. Maybe some tracks are a bit too short, but fun mod nonetheless

This is the point when Nintendo could either make more tracks into Tour, or bring EVERY SINGLE THING from Tour into 8 Deluxe and 8 Deluxe would be the ultimate game.
This can’t happen bc Nintendo isn’t supporting the game anymore, Nintendo will stop active support for MKT on October 4th. And the last booster course wave probably comes out next month.
Plus, I don't think the Nintendo Switch has the storage to handle so much data.
And I also don't think that everybody will enjoy all the SNES tracks from Tour
@@LucasDeroyplus plus, if *everything* from Tour was brought over, we would probably get Tour's version of Piranha Plant Slide which isn't as good as the 8dx version.

They should add it as extra options when configuring the races in VS mode
That'd be interesting, but all things considered I think that's pretty far outside their budget.
(For a given value of "far", anyways.)
Reverse CC should replace Mirror mode online imo
Omg these look like so much fun, I really really hope the next Mario Kart keeps the R and T variants from Tour, they're a fantastic addition that make each course 3 in 1 while saving on resources, and lets ya explore the entirety of the tracks far beyond just the normal route

My stance on T variants in MK8D suddenly did a 180. This would be hella cool.
This is a great idea! Sweet Sweet Canyon and DS Cheep Cheep Beach especially look like they could actually be T variants from Tour. My personal favorite is the Thwomp Ruins one, but unlike the other two there's no way Tour would ever make a T variant like that lol.
As someone who plays mario kart tour fairly daily since launch, I can say that Cheep Cheep Beach and Toad's Turnpike are spot on. The rest are missing ramps as the main reason for T tracks are to keep an easy and long combo.
These are so damn cool! Some of them seem a little TOO altered though… like sweet sweet canyon is 90% red fence track
Imagine wave 6 adds all R, T, and RT track variants to all 96 tracks
The idea is good, but these tracks won't work in an online setting. There are too many blind spots, jump ramps that shoot you off the track and bounce pads that don't make sense. If Nintendo were to add more Tour elements, they should do it like how they did it with Waluigi Stadium's final section.

Tbh, I think the trick variant shouldn't comeback, having too many ramps just doesn't work with the current MK physic. Reverse tracks however would be insanely cool, and I really hope that someone will make a mod with reverse variants for each tracks

Imagine if Nintendo drops a bombshell in wave six and releases reverse, trick, and R/T variants of every single course. That is a staggering *384* courses to play. The replayability would be endless.
Mario Kart Stadium, Moo Moo Meawdows, GBA Mario Circuit and Toad's Turnpike looks amazing

Imagine the chaos of online play with 150, 200, mirror, reverse and trick. Maybe even 200cc for mirror, reverse and trick. Unreal variety
YES, I literally made a post on Twitter on this. I’ve been wanting someone to add the T and R/T variants from Tour into Mario Kart 8. Let’s hope whoever made this mod makes more variants.

I’m convinced Nintendo should add the trick and reverse models to Mario Mart 8, alongside all the karts, characters, certain items and battle maps from Mario Kart Tour. Just imagine how great it would be.

I actually would love to see this coming in a Mario Kart on console. Mario Kart Tour have great ideas that I want to see in a futur Mario Kart : Tricks Variants, Reverse Variant, Bringing back the Special Items, and why not a gacha system for characters skins with coins

@@ixmntr i literally played since Sky Tour 2022, i am currently tier 52 in Anniversary Tour Week 1 with a total of 59,051 points.
I used Pinja (Lv.3) for Athens, Gold Knight Luigi (Lv.5) for NYM and Lv 3 Thaisy for Madrid Drive 3.
Seems like ive never played MKT, eh?
on top of that, the comment ive made was just based off of 8DX having baby park & excitebike arena and how excitebike arena's layout was similar to Baby Park (albeit longer) and that it had many trickable ramps

MKT BBY PRK RMX'S are way more evolved than 8DX Excite Bike, Plus BBY PRK is now an anti-gravity track in 8DX so the possibilities could be interesting, such as adding a barrel rolls, dueling tracks, etc. Not everything is a trick ramp or so linear in design. 🙄 @@thatdovick29

I never thot I would support less content for Mario Kart until I discovered trick variants in Mario Kart Tour. It’s mostly just platforms that have you hovering over all the interesting stuff. I actually actively dislike them. Reverse variants however, are awesome and MK8D needs them.
