I don't necessarily see them as poor or think they see themselves as poor. They have everything they need, they just don't live a lavish lifestyle. Grace has millions and could buy them mansions anytime she wanted, but they continue to live in their "normal" homes and clothes, because it's enough for them. Even if they were poor, poverty is nothing to be ashamed of.
