  • - L063 with MEC 512 - MEC 5948 is seen traveling east up the Portsmouth Branch on 4/1/2024. They are seen first crossing the Great Bay in Stratham, NH then seen at Emery and finally on the Newington Industrial Track after swapping the covered hopper for three boxcars in Portsmouth Yard.
    - Later that afternoon, L080 heads west with MEC 5958 - MEC 5963 - MEC 5933 and a train for Lawrence. We see them at Winnock's Neck Rd. at the Scarborough Marsh, highballing west through Wells and finally at Newmarket, NH.
    - On 4/16/2024, L063 with MEC 504 - CSXT 6152 and a consist of empties from NHN and the Portsmouth Branch passes through Winnock's Neck Rd. in Scarborough, ME heading east for Rigby Yard.

    That drone shot and L080 chase was good catch. Especially with the 2 blue dips leading

    Amazing footage of a Branchline I haven’t seen all areas of, thanks to the DRONE! Incredible work being done here In Portsmouth!!!
    Great Winnock’s neck area captured, spectacular views. Those B40-8’sare an interesting sight in the PTD sun!!!

    how often is the branch used

      Usually about three round trips during the week depending on traffic levels.
