I lost mine last Oct, and this is something we would have had fun doing together. So ya, this made me miss her even more... Laura is so blessed to not only still have both her parents, but also her grandparents still alive.

I have a set of solar powered "Christmas lights" that have been going steady for 2 or 3 years now! They can flash or sequence or stay solid. Not every expensive either!

I know you're providing drip to these trees and they'll be receiving lots of love, but would you recommend leaving the burlap on a tree/shrub in a dry climate without frequent irrigation? We don't live in a dry climate, but I recently removed some landscaped shrubs from the front of our neighborhood entrance to replace them and the burlap was still completely in place and not broken down - 15 years later! I was amazed and the plant hadn't even rooted out in that time (that's why they were being removed). I just thought if it didn't break down in our climate over that period of time, it may struggle in drier climates to break down. I was so surprised to find that myself!
I feel so much cooler seeing you in short sleeves. Seeing you with your mom and having so much fun makes me happy and sad. I lost my mom when I was 37. Enjoy this precious time. It goes by so fast.
