Since it's just my husband and me now, after baking cakes I portion out servings and freeze them. I"ve noticed that thawed out cakes (and cookies, too) are moister than the original bake and delicious. Perhaps if someone has a slightly dry cake, they can salvage it by freezing. As always, great video!
I never got dry cakes anymore when I started baking with oil instead of butter. Butter might be tastier but it sure makes cakes hard and dry, while with oil cakes get even more moist as the time passes, it's pretty crazy. Never going back to butter.
This is a good point to know for good baking: Sugar is considered a wet ingredient, so the function of sugar is not just for sweetness, but for texture as well. Thanks Mariam

Hi. Thank you for your videos. A question about cakes: Most of the time my cakes sink at the middle, I still don't know why if I follow the recipe. Thanks for the input.
Thank you so much for thus video. If i reduce the sugar by 30% (for example), what can i add in to avoid dry cake? Most of my cakes came out dry, could be i always reduce the sugar (my family members prefer less sweet cake due to health concern). Would appreciate if you can help me on this. Thank you! Love from Malaysia.
O god I made pineapple cake , using all of ur tips . N trust me that was legit better than Bakery ones...I just trusted your recipe n myself ...Thanks a ton ..now my next aim is chocolate cake❤
What should I do if I double the batch when I go to baking it. I want to make your Victoria sponge in a square tin instead of 2 round tins as I want to make a larger cake .
