He knows the true nature of the act and why it will never be implemented effectively. He's aware that this act has brought nothing but negative impacts in the form of illegal bootleggers, adulteration, unregulated pricing and the list goes on. I stand with him and NLPT act 100% should be scrapped.

Church can never stop the selling of liquor but it can stop the person from drinking. Church must do their spiritual duty and not be a hypocrite.
    Irony is:
    1. Church would avoid seeing wine bottles but would not avoid seeing money.
    2. Church would avoid wine shops but would not avoid donations and making budgets.
    3. Church would not void NLTP Act but would avoid Spiritual Acts of kindness.
    Now,
Church must do what is right before God and not what is right before men. Spiritual law and its teachings should be stringent to men than social laws and obligations.
Let the ones who drink enjoy without social stigma and die of it but let the Spiritual Act renew each soul and give life.
Otherwise, too much of hypocrisy will ruin believers into making them only Sunday worshipers.

    Benefits of lifting NLTP act;
    1) Quality control which will help reduce alcohol related health issues
    2) Price regulation which will help curb syndicate or black marketing and illegal trades.
    3) Revenue funds for the govt through taxation which can be utilized for infrastructural or other developmental activities in the state.
    4) Avoid economic loss which has affected the livelihood of many especially the families of those chronic alcohol abusers who resort to adulterated products of black markets.
    5) Bring an end to the social taboo about alcohol consumption which can be done through proper awareness programme.
    6) Broaden our mindset from a conservative to a more progressive society where we consume alcohol for relaxing and merrymaking rather.
    7) Create employment opportunities in the bars and restaurants.
The question is whether the civil societies and organizations esp the church is able to digest the fact about it and accept it or are they still going to consider alcohol as a taboo and a sin cunsuming it?

People who abstain from alcohol are not necessarily conservative. They simply know better the dangers of alcohol on the body. Nor are drinkers necessarily progressive as most abusers come from the poor, uneducated and rural section of the community.
From a Christian perspective, the Bible says that drunkeness is a sin, so the stance of the Church is consistent with the Bible as should be.
It is now up to the government to decide to lift or not to, and stop blaming the church for its indecision.

And the scripture prohibits drunkenness, not drinking. And not everyone drinks to drunkenness! Many does so to celebrate!
My opinion is that the people of our state will be better off with legalization rather because banning and shunning it is not gonna stop the consumers. It will only increase illegal trades and bring huge economy losses to the community, not forgetting the ill effects of adulterated products!
And also not blaming the church, just want it to consider it's perspective again and broaden it's view rather than shunning it as a taboo. Many Christian countries are better off with liquor legalization and proper regulations, period!

I personally suggest with regards to NLTP Act, by now and without too late it's obvious to be legally authorised selling of Liquor in or within State....
It is not bottle or wine but people consume it in their own time...
    Therefore clearly made legality ☝🏻✅

How i wish i was a police officer or some big shots of some well known organisation...damn Nagaland a haven for side income. Will be rich in 1 month max! Just inmagine the illegal things example thousands of mineral shops which the law prohibits but still thrives in the dark through politics.

If NBCC go against the lifting of this act and stands as an obstacles of revenue, govt. must tax the churches a and use that money for creating job for the educated unemployed youths of Nagaland & rehabilitation centers for abused victims.

Lift NLTP Act but with conditions and strict age limit. But it should be lifted. If smoking is injurious to health, so is alcohol. Problems arises when there is no boundaries ans conditions set.

NBCC never say to lift NLTP act.. However, for eg. If girl friend family refused to marry with her bf, but if only Bf & Gf agreed & fall in love, we never broke up their intimate relationship, and got married. 😊We could say we are dry state, but full of wine shop in every corner, which is high price.. Assam people are laughing at us.. 😅...

If NBCC is very much concerned about liquors, with the NLTP act already in place they should inspect, monitor, pray for those areas where the liquors are flourishing all over Nagaland. Only during the talks about lift or u lift, they'll come into picture

There is not factory even if lift NLTP act, we are going to buy from Assam only, same liquor, nothing special, but the disadvantage of having many wine shops and legalize liquor, due to liquor many will spend money in hospital than earn by selling or consume liquor, I ve seen many people died in state like Arunachal due to consumption of liquor.
