I'm four, a guy that owns them because I lived in the harsh arctic. Also the valve isn't for a vacuum seal, it is to allow air in and out for when changing elevations rapidly like when you are flying. The air is the insulation.
The Bunny Boots (white) are actually rated to keep you warm to -60f while the Mickey Mouse Boots (black) are rated to -20f. The military is planning to phase out the Bunny Boots because “troops often soak their socks with sweat while standing in banks of snow.”
As someone who lives in Canada the weather has been -30 C lately and above and I just found these boots in amazing condition at the thrift store in my size manufactured in December 1975 for ONLY 0.50 cents. Already love them so so much!
Do they heat up your feet really bad if you were to wear them inside a place at room temp because I’m thinking of getting these and I don’t want my feet dying

I can only imagine what other badass retired military stuff is out there which could warrant the "clearly these boots are awesome" reaction. It would be so fun to go into something like a Russian or Canadian army surplus store to find sick menswear, and likely for relatively cheap.
I wore them in North Dakota during Oilfield Operations -28° I love these boots. I have both black and white pair, including Mittens that are designed for the Antarctica with Swiss Inserts to match
Could have used these when I worked a job where i'd spend a couple hours in a -10 degree F freezer. I'd wear 2 layers of socks with wool over them and my feet would still freeze over

i agree they are cool! i think the beveled side profiles and the ecru patina is really lending itself to whats trendy now.

In the winter time the temperature sometimes drops to 5-10 degrees fahrenheit, so maybe these will work as a good winter boot
