    Another great variation is to rock on fist. Or to elevate/ depress your shoulder in each hand holding position!

    Wow...have been dragging on for 2 years with the pain. Tried Acupuncture but it didn't work. Exactly what you said might have happened. Samtola is an India wooden exercise equipment used by wrestlers. At age 55, I started doing these exercises and soon the pain set in. I did get a lot of relief after just 1 session of stretching. Have Subscribed. 😊Thanks ❤

    Tim - This was excellent. Just what I needed. In less than 6 minutes you helped me understand that massage and RICE alone won't fix my elbow. MOVEMENT is essential. Duh! What was I thinking?

    This really helpsy painful left elbow and shoulder! Thanks Tim.
    This is good prep for hand positioning and wrist strength and mobility needed for doing an Elbow Lever. The head turns also get good mobility in the shoulders for getting the elbows into position for the Elbow Lever.

    Do you have a recommendation for how often/how much you should do this ?
    It certainly relieves the issue, but will it help prevent recurrence do you think ?

    • @OriginalStrengthSystem
      @OriginalStrengthSystem  4 года назад

      A little every day or every other day can go a long ways. Well it prevent recurrence? Likely not as typically there is a root cause of habit that is causing the issue. However, this movement could serve as a recovery/rehabilitation/restoration movement to help the tissues heal IF the root cause is addressed.

    for me, rocking while griping a small and rolled carpet or towel really helped. and while doing so focusing on using the pinky finger helped even further.

    When you find a hand position that irritates the elbow, are you trying to avoid it, or work it till it doesn’t hurt ?

    • @OriginalStrengthSystem
      @OriginalStrengthSystem  5 лет назад +2

      A little of both. Get to the edge of it and see if you can move there to relax away the issue.

    Although I exercise daily with dumbells, my elbow tendinitis came about when I accidentally smacked my outer elbow process on my door. It was sore for a week, then I smacked it again. It's been inflamed for weeks now a good 2-3 inches from the process, almost like ligaments were torn.

    Hello sir، I accidentally came across your RUclips channel. If possible, I would appreciate guidance on the experience you have. I've been experiencing mild, non-continuous pain near the elbow bone for about three weeks, possibly related to a tendon. The pain is not severe, persistent, and I have no movement restrictions, but it persists in the mentioned areas. I haven't engaged in heavy activities, and I hope it's not arthritis. As someone with experience, what are your thoughts? Thank you again.

    • @OriginalStrengthSystem
      @OriginalStrengthSystem  9 месяцев назад +1

      IF it is tendon related, tendons just take longer to heal than muscle does because they aren’t as vascular. They test your patience. Time and rest can be your friend for tendinitis, So can strengthening the muscles of your forearms, you can also work on gentle stretching and lengthening these muscles. And If it is arthritis, and it doesn’t sound like it, then movement is good medicine. Don’t despair. Your body is made to heal from this.

    What about tricep tendonitis? My tendonitis is in the elbow but not at the insertions by the forearm muscles but rather the tricep insertion at the back of the elbow.

    • @OriginalStrengthSystem

      This could potentially help with that. It’s one of those “try it and see” things. The good news is that it should not make it worse!

    • @OriginalStrengthSystem
      @OriginalStrengthSystem  4 года назад +1

      I suppose that is possible but typically tennis elbow is grip related. You can always reduce your crawling frequency and see if that changes anything.

    Don't be aggressive.
    Otherwise you might find yourself having to have someone wipe your ass for around 6 weeks.
    Not a good look. 🤣
    Jokes aside, have had Golfer's elbow (medial epicondylitis) for around 2 years, Finally had to stop work completely and start some rehab, also finally off the anti inflammatories after 2 years.
    Will give this a try for mobilization.
