Wow this is really pretty. I love the idea of using this as a hat band! I could see it being tied and having it trail over the brim, too. Edit: I have a fancy ‘ribbon’ yarn with gold in it, I could see weaving something like that through the holes that this makes. I have so many ideas now! Edit (again): I also love how this grows like a foundation row. You can keep going until this is as long as you need, no measuring. I especially love that. I’m going to make one for my sun hat in antique white! I might make some trim in thinner yarn too, for older clothes that need some spiffing up. Thank you!
Hi Emi! I'm going to use a DK green yarn w/small hook, and make these for vines, add flowers= a hanging plant that I can't kill 😂👍😘 Thanks so much! ❤️🙏
I just love this! It really looks good on the hat. I've discovered that there are ways to replace a long starting chain like foundation ovals or stacked foundation. I love the idea of it and this reminds me of that. I have a hard time with figuring out the rest of it without following a pattern. Are you familiar with this? Thank you for sharing! ❤
@@Hectanooga1 I apologize for the late reply. I hope I can explain this well enough. No that's not it. The least complicated example I can think of is this. Chain 5. In the 5th chain from the hook make a triple treble crochet. (It looks like an oval.) Chain 5 again and work a triple treble in the 5th chain from hook. (Just like the first one.) You repeat that until you have the length desired. Then when you go to work the pattern, say V stitches, you work them into the "ovals" on the side where the triple treble stitch is. There are many ways to do it as I'm sure you can imagine. I hope that makes sense. It's a bit intimidating to try and explain anything to do with crochet to someone with your experience. Lol
Lovely for a napkin holder!

Yes, I think you mean the foundation dc where you just work dc's as the foundation chain.

@@paulavance5096 Oh yes, I get it, sort of like making V stitches end to end.
