This rendering is very sweet, and gives you a good sense of the love his devotees have for the child god of Udupi--the word 'begane' tells it all. I find myself going back, however, to the version sung by the great dancer and singer Balasaraswati that was filmed by Satyajit Ray on the beach at Udupi where the idol had first shown its face, as it were, to Madhwacharya.
