the thing I like about this interview is ....if someone(say like biswa mostly) doesn't agree with someone's opinion they say it out loud. if this was like ACTORS ADDA the others would just nod to anything.

Zakir nails it: Yes, this community is right now the most progressive and well-read one in the country. They know what is right and wrong as sensitive, sharp, sassy humans..and they know how to say it.
Also I cannot fathom that shows like big boss, roadies and splitsvilla are allowed to be aired on national television but intelligent shows like Tvf pitchers cannot make it to TV because of few slangs. Or AIB offended which brings out the inherent double standards in us as a society.

But I live in Pakistan and what Zakir said is so effin' true. Comedians in India are the most progressive people and I envy that because in my country we've been stuck after people like Moin Akhtar left us. :')
But these guys have changed my life, made me happier.
Kabir Mohammed I did follow that but the point is here people get killed straight away they don't even have the liberty to clear themselves up or speak. For instance the Irfan Khan case, he was given the chance to speak. It aint possible over here.

I'm a huge fan of Sng...Aadar Malik, Varun Thakur, Karan Talwar are really awesome....
In Pak, Umer Sharif has carried the responsibility with some others like Saleem Afridi, etc but they are not much organized on social media....
I would love to talk in detail as most of my free time is spent in activities related to the entertainment industry....

It's probably because your culture is so hostile to progressive comedy, that your best comedians leave and go to the US or UK. Look at Kumail Nanjiani, that guy's super funny and had to leave to fulfill his potential. It's a slightly more improved situation in India, mostly thanks to the guys on the table who have quite literally put their necks on the line to make people accept unrestricted comedy.
Tanmay must have a died a little on the inside when Vipul put AIB roast and Comedy Nights With Kapil in the same league

hahaha. exactly! few weeks ago tanmay appeared in a show with karan jahar and he indicated towards kapil show and how kapil is making sexist joke okay!
Kapil's show sucks but comedic talent-wise Kapil could easily match Tanmay if not beat him.
Sowrya Kasim but we all have to agree that kapil is delivering about 1.5 hr of material every week without a single gaali on the contrary they have their time to make the episodes
He compared the popular tea of the shoes rather than the actual quality and how to shows actually became the turning point for the comedy scene in India

this is why i love film companion. Not only do we get to watch enriching interviews of actors/ directors etc but also interesting roundtables like these. I love how the channel has branched out into diverse things, and I'm sure it must involve a great deal of research on anupama's part. Kudos to you! :)

However, I am not a fan of Aditi's work. But then I have various theories as to how these things work, which might be true or untrue.
Point is, I don't think everyone everywhere does one thing, that is balance the ratio, and even if EVERYONE is doing that, one should not presume that until proven.

"The idea that when a male comic says something funny its seen as a lot funnier than when a woman comic says it" says it all. Anupama- as a fellow woman you should not have put Aditi in a situation like this.
You are partially right.Like before watching this episode I didn't have any prejudice regarding what Aditi will say I won't laugh.But she didn't say something funny to crack me up
It was supposed to be interview, it turned into jokes competition and anybody was free to jump in the conversation, she didn't jump in, that's why it feels like she's left out
