Actually, she had gone quiet even before this question, if you observe closely in Part 1. And I could feel it very clearly as a woman, 'cause most of us get to a point of isolation in group discussions like. The "brohood" between the five men on the table was visible from the second the discussion started and that Aditi was excluded from that camaraderie is also clear if you read between the lines. And as a woman you bring in all your past struggles for representation and equality to the table which can enhance the sense of isolation to another level. Even when Anupama directly asked the question to Aditi, Vipul decided he should answer the question, despite an interjection from Kanan. And then Aditi had to be invited to the table once again by Anupama cause the men just hijacked the discussion. . And to all those below who feel the need to point out Aditi doesn't deserve to be on the table because she isn't funny enough, just a fact - she has 165k RUclips subscribers (more then the 71k subcribers on Vipul Goyal's RUclips channel), who clearly find her funny. She was invited, and by that merit alone, she had the full right to speak her mind on this table as much as any of the men.
wow ....now that's what I call an answer. I mean really, u must be the topper in ur academics. seriously, Lady, I didn't explain this in much ever in my board exams
Thankfully. .....Anupama put out to some extent very important questions such as language, gender, selfhood, competiveness, and self sensorship. One thing I have learnt through ur talk show is that anything could be said but it is important to 'how do u say it". Great host anupama 👍
To all the men góing "but why is aditi being so passive aggressive yaar", a question was asked about women in the comedy scene and all the men (except kanan) seemed to think "oh, i am clearly more suitable to answer this question than the ONE FEMALE comedian sitting on the table!" and despite being the only woman on the table (apart from anupama herself) she was given the opportunity to speak in the end. Does it not make any sense to you guys that she was clearly pissed by this behavior which women by ṭhe way face almost everywhere?
when you speak in the end, it can often be counted as a conclusion. I don't see anything wrong with it because she had the bigger say without interruption of others wanting to speak about it.
@S RG sir it's not a comedy special so she didn't need to crack a joke. Plus she didn't speak much at all, she only spoke when she was asked to and I don't think it's really appropriate to crack jokes while discussing such an important topic...She made very valid points which needs to be put out there so yeah...I hope u got my point and wish u all the best
Aditi spoke really well..there's a difference between standup comics and comedians like Bharti who earn crores for her MCing shows. The same Indian audience who would ROFLMAO at a "fat" woman jumping on the laps of superstars, or a man dressed as a woman kissing other men, would suddenly become uncomfortable when a woman expresses an opinion or takes a side through her act of comedy. That's the biggest obstacle female comics in India have to face. A lot of tricks were discussed in this round-table about how to make audience laugh- like use slangs "bhenchod" etc, catching a random couple and asking them uncomfortable questions- be honest and ask yourself how many of the people around you would find it as funny if a woman does these things on stage? Again there is also a physical element to these stage performances- I saw one of my favorite comedians Daniel Fernandez holding his mike on his crotch making it look like a penis of a man who took off his pants. Ofcourse there was a context to it and people burst out laughing, but can a woman pull off exactly the same in India? In established art forms like drama women can be as physically open as men are but that's where they are playing some character- in standups you are being yourself- so yes, there are bigger obstacles for women stand-ups than men, but more than anyone else it is us the audience and our perception to be blamed for this.
What happens at @7:55 followed by @8:00 feels way too familiar to me. Baat yeh nai hai ki is Aditi funny or not. Anupama asked a question which was very pertinent and relevant to Aditi, but all the men jumped in, trying to justify ki nai itna bura situation nai hai we are not gender biased blah blah blah. Aditi didn't even get a chance to speak up until then. When Anupama says women are also funny, Zakir gets defensive as if being pointed as guilty. With all due respect to all these comedians, I enjoy most of these people's work, par how will you know what a woman goes through, man! Let her bloody speak. The world is designed in a way that the system sometimes favours men, aur agar koi uske against aawaz uthaye toh she's perceived as someone who ruined the good vibe! Even when Aditi frustratingly points out all the explaining done by the men on an issue that does not even concern them, Kanan and Zakir act as if they gave her full platform and it's not their fault. They may be progressive, they may be well-read, but even they are not untouched by systemic patriarchal views.
Yes sexism is the reason for women having smaller share of the comedy business in India, but it is the sexism of audience to the larger extent. Also women comedians are on an average less funnier than men because maybe the funniest ladies are not allowed by their families and all to enter this kind of profession. However Superwoman is the funniest South Asian youtuber. Period. whole of AIB+TVF+every other person on this table is equal to Superwoman alone. Yes she faced different societies but she made it on youtube and same south asians made her famous and she is loved much more than anyone in the same audience as faced by these ones. The society is at large sexist and that sexism reflects in this business relatively more as this is a very social profession and you are constantly being judged by the 'sexist' society. Women comics will thrive more n more with time I hope. That being said, Aditi Mittal is not funny at all. Mallika Dua is gold compared to her. And I laugh watching every Superwoman video, even her face is enough to make me smile. So Aditi Mittal should not whine so much. The most interesting I find in this video is that on being asked about sexism in their business all the males went almost numb and room went awkward because nobody knows the right answer actually. And the same thing happens in Bollywood, where noone is deliberately sexist but they are market driven and in market sexist content sells more. But AIB and all find it very easy to ask questions from Bollywood personalities and mock them for the sexist things in bollywood. But they take for granted sexism in comedy business themselves. They should preach only what they practice. We don't need so much moral and political guardianship ........things are always said easier than done. So much for being the most progressive ones in the country.....LOL. I laughed so hard on it, the best joke Zakir Khan has ever cracked, unintentionally though.
If you are funny enough, you will get the laughs.Doesnt matter whether your guy or girl. And also its your choice, If you like vegeterian food and I dont like it, it doesnt make vegeterian food bad. Similarly If I like Zakir Khan shows and dont like Aditi Mittal's shows its simply might be because I dont find her jokes funny, not because she is a woman. So if certain public like a guy's show instead of a girl's show it might be due to their sense of humor, not their gender. Kindly let talent be the yardstick. P.S. I think Kaneez Surka and Mallika Dua are really awesome and way more funnier than Aditi Mittal.
Aditi doesn't have to sound funny right now. she's genuinely making sense and saying things that should be put forward with utter confidence that many of those questioning her comedy lack. she's given great standups and I have laughed way to hard in some. Gender bias surfaces in comments like these where you have to clarify to suppress the mindset of few but you mentioning a thing eventually keeps it out on the table for people to argue upon. Don't say such things at all even if you want to clarify ! Tanmay Bhatt has lost so much weight ! Biswa seems to be the funniest in the group and I believe there's a cold war between Tanmay and him 😂 Zakir Bhai is the coolest. thank you film companion ! keep taking such initiatives and bring forward such videos so that we get to know more about the people in fraternity !
13:53 onwards. Tanmay's point is quite true and at the same time fascinating. I mean memes and jokes are shaping opinions and changing decisions in this country especially among youths.
Why is Aditi just snapping at everyone. She can voice her opinion in a dignified manner as well. And just because in a certain line up there was no woman doesn't mean that they aren't considered worthy enough. There can be a million other reasons for the same.Anupama needs to stop politicising issues especially the women empowerment issue.
Sharmila Ganguly That is your opinion and I respect that. Please extend the same courtesy to others before accusing people and makeing baseless allegations.Based on your comment I can say you are an intolerant, rude and puerile troll. But I didn't make any such snap judgments, try doing the same.
Kaafi respect for me, and that I never expected. She didn't snap at all. She said what she had faced. If you (or, anyone) would have noticed, she was kind of serious throughout the conversation, both in part 1 and 2. You can't call her undignified. There may be other reasons of course. But there is a possibility that the industry is being sexist here. That's what Anupama tried bringing up. It's not politicising. Lastly, I am neither a sexist nor a feminist. I am in for something normal and healthy. And no, I am not intolerant or rude or puerile. If you have a right to criticise people, people also have a right to criticise you.
There are a lot of professions, I agree. But, what the subject of the video? Comedy. So, no question of other professions in this discussion. Among the 14 people selected, Aditi or any other female comic is at par with most of them. So why not any female comics? MAYBE, it's just a situation and not what we call sexism. What the comment said was Anupama was politicising and Aditi is snapping. That is a absolutely ignorant comment. Because, that is not what Anupama or Aditi tried portraying. They just brought up a possibility.
ash23shan Yes, exactly my thoughts. The patriarchy is ingrained in our minds and it's easy to get defensive instead of acknowledging what women go through especially in fields dominated by men.
I think this is wonderful - giving this insight to us outsiders of the comic scene on what is going on and asking these questions, which are very pertinent. To the ones who can encash, this gives a good sense of understanding of our society, though not complete. The comic scene is not the only new industry - there are MUN circuits, Poetry movements and other budding industries - which can pick up tiny, yet pertinent and productive a lesson from this - provided there's an open-minded approach. [I didn't really want to comment something so distant from the issue, but figured I must show you guys that I appreciate it, especially after seeing the negativity.]
I don't agree with Aditi personally....she is not that well known because she doesn't put that much stuff online so people don't know her enough and there is less recognition and her excuse that people criticize online is just what everybody suffers through you cannot pay attention to every criticism. There are female comedians who are appreciated and nowadays like mallika dua who is really funny granted she is not a standup comic but she more liked and recognized because people can watch her stuff online which gives her wider audience. Also if Aditi had handled the question asked to her without snapping at everybody and using the opportunity to actually showcase her talent it would have been more appreciated. Sometimes instead of sticking it to the guys just show your talent and spontaneous comic timing and it would have worked out...by being passive aggressive she just bought the energy down. Also she could have put her own point ahead and spoken why wait till somebody has to ask you question its not like the guys do not appreciate the female perspective. I am not saying the points she put are wrong just she could have put them in some other way....
shivangi kulkarni it's fine that u don't find her way funny but the problem as u can see right here in the video is that guys kind of form a gang, a relatablity which aditi can't relate to and was for the most part left out of this conversation.. so you can guess how much more of that she must have gone through in the green room.. which I think would make any person to not to continue what they are doing and certainly deter any other upcoming female comic
Revisiting this video after having just attended a comedy variety show 2 days ago with Sapan Verma, Aman Jotwani, Aditi Mittal, Siddharth Dudeja, and Prashasti Singh - who was the star performer for the evening and had the closing act. Everyone was funny BUT Aditi Mittal - dead awkward silences, not a single joke landing. Poor jokes, pathetic delivery, forceful (in fact almost threatening) overcompensatory decibel levels and overemphasising of words - basically everything that is antithetical to a good, organic laugh. Whereas Prashasti, who I repeat was the closing act and the star performer, and also a woman, had everyone in SPLITS from start to finish in a sharp, flawless set. So Aditi Mittal needs to wake up to the fact that SHE is the problem, not her gender. If she fails to elicit laughs even after all these years in the business, maybe she is not cut out for this at all and never was.
I loved aditi here. And i am sure her apparent frustration does no justice to the amount of sexism she seems to have encountered on her way up! it was also good to see that at least half the men on that table were painfully aware of comedy's invisible women (kannan, tanmay and biswa) and were at least calling out the problem. Vipul and zakir on the other hand seemed clueless of what the discussion was about, one of them went on to say 'there are no restrictions'. I am not even surprised because that's a common argument, that no-one is stopping women to get where these bright men have landed (a glance at the comment section below proves my point) I wish more people could understand that individuals exist and operate in structures that end up deciding their choices and opportunities. This argument is the equivalent of saying blaming a poor person for their poverty and not recognising the market structures that keep them poor. 'the boys club' and 'the ceiling' are all too valid structural points that aditi raised and i hope she remains vocal about these things. And to people who are celebrating amy schymer, amy poehler and tina fey - all of these ladies faced some or the other form of sexism, body-shaming and ceiling on their way up - they reached there despite these structures and have since contributed to making comedy more inclusive of women in the west. Indian comedy scene is yet to have its own gender-aha moment.
Well said, btw notice how Aditi calls out the fact that almost every guy on the table felt that they are equipped to dissect the problem, that was awesome, they did not even get the joke and looked hurt, and these guys are comics they do it for a living !
Hansika Singh Agree with you on this completely, but I was very disappointed and not at all pleased with her participation (or lack of). I don't know if it was just a bad day, but she looked pissed off through the entirety of the show.
Great. I enjoyed the whole discussion a lot. Just so you know it's 2 A.M. in the morning and I have an end-semester exam today. To that extend, I've liked it. Just a suggestion, next time please bring Vir Das also. :) Really enjoyed it guys.
Great conversation all around. I do have to clarify that all the problems of self-censorship and how your character comes into question for off-color jokes is not specific to India, it has become the case to a point here in the US as well.
See that's the bias... You will support and raise the women who behaves or act's according to your line of thinking / culture ... But looks down and even condemn the one's who go against your belief ... People may not listen to bad male comedians, but they are more likely to boo bad female comedians... That's the point
The hollywood black list scripts are the ones which have later been produced and won a lot of academy awards... maybe someday the black list jokes mentioned will see the light of day and be appreciated for what they are.
Now that I have watched most of the Amazon standups (atleast attempted to watch, and left halfway for most), these comments of people saying Aditi doesn't deserve and bla makes even less sense than ever. there were these lousy comedians repeating the same jokes which they had made in canvas club, with ditto same lines ( didn't even take effort to modify) and some unfunny lousy comedian whose name I can't remember although he is associated to a comedy group that I have subscribed to. Biswa, Kanan and Zakir were AWESOME and hands down the best in the libeup, but others not that great. Even Kenny seemed to be dancing around the stage for lack of content for a large part( and he was among the better ones). So yes, i know several female comics who could have made it there,if it was purely about quality of comedy. Anyway would like to point out to all idiots bashing Aditi for "defending " herself, she just objectively, intact quite reluctantly answered the question that she was asked.she did not even mention Amazon in her answer, she narrated ger experience , her struggle and how she dealt with it and emerged successful.
It was definitely interesting to see that some comedians are that oblivious to the unprogressive aspects of their "clan", that is a passive lack of female empowerment. It felt like there was a lot of coldness between the boys and her, especially in the first half of the Adda. Or maybe I'm just wrong..the situation seems a bit like Aditi was this excluded person in school who was passively shut out by this group of bullies and now she has to engage with them at a big table in a civilized manner.
I feel like the barrier for women in comedy is more audience based than colleague-based or venue-based. At least it feels that way from youtube comments.
Abhishek no you are not alone. I have seen a few stand-up videos of hers on RUclips and I feel the same thing. I don't think she can hold a candle to the likes of Kenny Sebastian. Didn't find her funny
Abhishek I feel no comedian is always funny it's just that u are if once impressed with a comedian you tends to like thier lame joke as well. comedy is very diverse one joke might just roll down you on floor but can't even bring a smile on my face, context and connection is also one of the important thing in comedy
All the people referring to Amy Schumer and Superwoman as successful comedians, please read up about the struggles they had to face to be where they are today. And all that struggle despite the West providing a lot more opportunity than India to talented women in any field. Now compare the same to Aditi and her female colleagues in India - its a bloody struggle to even get recognised as talented just coz ure a woman! Thus, instead of wondering why Aditi was so pissed off, try and wonder how you can change things in ur immediate surroundings so that tomorrow if ur sister, daughter or friend wants to become a comedian, they don't have to go through the same shit!
No. She spoke about the criticism she faced. Everybody faces criticism. Every other comment Tanmay receives is like 'Aeeee Mote, Bhainse'. Go to comment section of any of these guys' videos and you will know. But they don't use it to play the victim card. I think guys are like that because since childhood their friendships are about mocking each other. Whereas for girls it is more about fake pleasantries, compliments and not hurting on the face. From what she said the only conclusion I make is that she takes criticism very personally. She seems to have come to the room with preconceived notions. She is sitting at the far end and sulking. She is not speaking. All guys are pitching in without invitation. No body is stopping her. Aditi is very funny but she clearly didn't make use of social media to endorse herself. I have seen only two of her stand up videos which were actually hilarious. But how will people know about you until they see more of you as a comedian?
Abhishek Verma I agree with the comment thing. When I started, I knew this was gonna happen. Starting a RUclips channel means you're gonna get hate, obviously. Look at what Miranda Sings did with hate. That's a part of being out there on social media, youtube channel or not. People are going to be mean. But you should look at all the love from all the other people. Aditi is certainly taking criticism very personally.
I agree that there are way too many idiotic men in India (and around the world) who say stupid things like women aren't funny. But in this particular case I was surprised that Aditi wasn't engaging in the conversation (in part 1). She stayed aloof and it wasn't even the case of others talking over her. She just seemed totally disconnected. She wasn't leaning in. I only know of Aditi because of the roast and in my opinion she was the funniest at the roast. I've also seen other content of hers featuring more popular male Indian comedians. So it's a bit baffling she would act as if the rest of the comedian fraternity has not helped or even impeded in her success. Aditi thinks that she is not popular or not important but this is far from the truth. She has quite a bit of visibility and she needs to double down on it instead of backing off.
heyzutube Absolutely agree! The whole point here wasn't discounting anybody's else's struggles or even Aditi's but the attitude. You cannot have such an attitude to criticism and to hate. When we girls come on social media and put ourselves out there, we know (or hell, yeah, should know!), that haters are gonna be haters. I'm not even talking about genuine criticism. There are people who would be mean to you for no reason. No reason at all. That's a part of the RUclips game. Why let other people's negativity affect you? For the smallest channel like mine, even I'd random strangers from abroad hitting a dislike on content with Indian ref(without watching a second). ((little do they know, dislike even helps, lol)) Similarly on my how to be happy video, someone wrote I'm ugly. Lol. Yes, you laugh out loud and instead look at all the positive comments, all the love, all the people watching the video from beginning to end. Analytics gives you everything. To be afraid of mean people n then complaining that you don't have enough content on RUclips and thus you ain't popular doesn't help. And if a lady, herself counts her down, who's gonna uplift her? You got to believe you're famous. You got to hold your head high and be eager to learn always. P.S. Not hating on anyone. Lol.
@@alivira52 Bro kya 1980s wali baat. what i meant is standup comedy is an Art form ,aur atleast ye Art jaise pure cheze ko caste n ol se dur he rehnay do.and btw because of these guys most of the Indian people come to know about Stand-up comdey. per nahi ,Humay cool toh sound krna h. Ps- i have nothing against Transgender,Dalit or anyone and i do believe ki jinmay skills h wo agay ayngay hi.
And that's an impact ful comment! that too from the Savarna... And top of the Savarna category! So much much more impact... This is what is like to ask for diversity at each place
0:47 because making one amazon special requires a lot of money, and not in a sexist way, there isn't any funny female comedian that can provide an hour of content unless it's about feminism or bashing. also, all the amazon special comedians are basically legends
Watch every single face when Aditi is speaking, you'll be easily able to read their minds😂 Tanmay khaane pe focus Kar Raha hai, Zakir ko shake important hai, biswa is sleeping on the table staring at Aditi like "yeh kya bol rahi hai yaar"
However, it is a much deeper issue than that. Comedians tend to speak their minds and voice their opinions - structures in society are such that women face such hurdles to begin with. Speaking your mind is a very recent revolution (if you could name it that) for women. It'll be a slow struggle but hopefully we will get somewhere :)
Just like board rooms consist mostly of guys, and it has nothing to do with sexism. And the workforce consists mostly of men, and it has nothing to do with sexism. And kitchen work is done mostly by women, and it has nothing to do with sexism. And child rearing is mostly done by women, and it has nothing to do with sexism. Get an education.
The quietest person at the table is being called 'loud and obnoxious'. This illustrates exactly how women are judged way harder than men. Anyone who thinks this isn't a feminist issue, please understand the 'talent' doesn't just appear magically. If you think Aditi needs to 'work harder' or 'be funnier' then you need to provide her and others like her more opportunities to hone their craft; which is the larger issue here. Personally, I love Dr. Mrs. Lutchuke and find Aditi quite funny.
Why is Aditi even invited when she is not even given a chance to speak in the first half of the discussion...??? Even when she was asked to answer the question she had to ask for permission to speak when others were interrupting her constantly...
Thank you, Aditi, for being so straight. Stand up comedy is a boys club filled with 'locker room' jokes. So much for being the most progressive clan in the country.
demon6592 i disagree with you. i think it IS the most progressive field, in the world maybe! i dont know the business or inside politics as a content consumer, but from what i've seen, the people in this field are feminists, respect women, and mark them as their equals. as aditi said, it is the investors who aren't investing in the females more. but after this, i hope at least one of these takes a stand and calls out those investors as to why equal opportunities are not being created.
Tanmay Bhatt talks sense here, business angle has to be brought in. Many a times comedy is about personal stories, men go out in hordes to comedy shows headlined by men because they can relate to them, encouraging comedy shows by comedienne might face headwinds in beginning but eventually it will also bring more consumers of the content into the mix.
coldness between biswa and aditi haha.

In established art forms like drama women can be as physically open as men are but that's where they are playing some character- in standups you are being yourself- so yes, there are bigger obstacles for women stand-ups than men, but more than anyone else it is us the audience and our perception to be blamed for this.
I totally agree!
Yes. Yes. And yes. Yes again. Ok bye.
I wish Kanan and Biswa spoke more, they definitely had a lot of thoughtful views
and BTW @tanmay Bhat
Kaafi popcorn dabate huie!!
;)
jayant singh making the most of out of situation 😁😂
Haha Kafi jyada.
nice conversation
I get where Aditi is coming from... more power to her
Absolutely amazing panel arrangement made by film companion
Keep up the good work ❤️👍
"politicians in rallies are doing stand up"
this line made my day
What happens at @7:55 followed by @8:00 feels way too familiar to me.
Hear hear
Thank you so much FC team n Annu Mam for letting us know the comedians off stage side, struggle n story. 👍
Aditi Mittal's comment at 7:55 is basically EVERY woman, in every sphere of life, every damn day!
Biswa seems to be the funniest in the group and I believe there's a cold war between Tanmay and him 😂
Zakir Bhai is the coolest.
thank you film companion ! keep taking such initiatives and bring forward such videos so that we get to know more about the people in fraternity !
Males are staying away... Females are commenting that she is not funny!
You get the point!
Makes are playing safe by giving no comments
13:53 onwards. Tanmay's point is quite true and at the same time fascinating. I mean memes and jokes are shaping opinions and changing decisions in this country especially among youths.
Finally a video where i can watch biswa
Aditi. Fucking kudos. Just brutally honest. So much love and respect for you.
Aditi I totally get you.
would love to see narrative of the 'other' side make way and money on stage.
8:01 kanan was actually sick of aditi's bullshit but was being a gentleman about it
thanks anupama ji. it was awesome
11:42 Atul Khatri!!! XD
You clearly have no idea what they talked about.
please enlighten about the issue, i am also curious.
Kudos to Aditi for speaking up! Great job, keep going.
bhaiii... literally more power to all of y'all yaar... Anupama really felt their pain when she said that!!
When Aditi was asked whether she thinks the field is sexist, all the men rushed to speak before her.. there lies the answer.
ash23shan hehe
ash23shan Yes, exactly my thoughts. The patriarchy is ingrained in our minds and it's easy to get defensive instead of acknowledging what women go through especially in fields dominated by men.
great observation! yes indeed Anupama specifically asked her to speak first but Vipul jumped in and started talkign about contracts
perfecto....
ash23shan not true they first said aditi is the first one who should talk and then the rest
I loved it part 1-2 .. awsum yr great
one of the best adda episodes #Filmcompanion...keep it up 😊
I think this is wonderful - giving this insight to us outsiders of the comic scene on what is going on and asking these questions, which are very pertinent.
@Gargee Basak yes I agree watching this now i am seeing it with a complete new perspective and she feels very sour
I don't have to comment. This lady covered it all with this comment. And what's vital is a female saying if
Revisiting this video after having just attended a comedy variety show 2 days ago with Sapan Verma, Aman Jotwani, Aditi Mittal, Siddharth Dudeja, and Prashasti Singh - who was the star performer for the evening and had the closing act.
My god. This podcast makes SO MUCH SENSE.
how effortlessly deep and philosophical Zakir is 👍👍
Love you aditi.... I completely understand where you are coming from...
+Neha Rajoria absolutely. one butt-hurt moment that was 😁
+Abhinav Bakshi Really? And you were not disappointed when all the guys jumped in to answer a question that was clearly directed at her?
Hansika Singh I can be disappointed by more things than one. Can't I? Apart from that question too, her participation was minimal.
Biswa ekdum darsheel hai yaaaaaaar! Such a contrast presence. Love all of you
Great. I enjoyed the whole discussion a lot. Just so you know it's 2 A.M. in the morning and I have an end-semester exam today. To that extend, I've liked it. Just a suggestion, next time please bring Vir Das also. :)
Really enjoyed it guys.
Great conversation all around. I do have to clarify that all the problems of self-censorship and how your character comes into question for off-color jokes is not specific to India, it has become the case to a point here in the US as well.
Am I the only one who thinks Mallika Dua would have been a better choice in place of Aditi Mittal?
See this is the problem. Why can't Aditi and Mallika Dua both be a part of something.........
Because Aditi was just aggressive throughout
Because she is not standup comedian :-p
Priyanshu Sinha Stand up comedy ..
See that's the bias... You will support and raise the women who behaves or act's according to your line of thinking / culture ... But looks down and even condemn the one's who go against your belief ... People may not listen to bad male comedians, but they are more likely to boo bad female comedians... That's the point
"Chal be odia "....the odia in me feel proud for Biswa :)
aditi, please post more vedio V love your content, it's just V r nt getting much
The hollywood black list scripts are the ones which have later been produced and won a lot of academy awards... maybe someday the black list jokes mentioned will see the light of day and be appreciated for what they are.
i m a big fan of Vipul Goyal after humerously yours 😂😂 zakir you are simply awesome man
That female stand up question make everyone soo awkward....l loved itt😂😂😂
Thank you!!!
dude please dont pretend to be a feminist...you are literally a muslim
This is great discussion ❤️❤️
Great job cutting through all that mainsplaining Aditi! It's embarrassing to see them cower
Aditi Mittal is a weak snowflake who defames people. She should quit comedy.
haat chakodi =)))
nobody was cowering
simp
Exactly...could feel that how bad she must have felt!!
At 16:36 when Aditi was talking about sex and money Tanmay’s face was epic
Zakir doesn't needs jokes to funny is already bloody funny!!
I didn't know I needed this. Please do another one (and include Varun Thakur this time)
Wow! I am glad Aditi spoke up for herself here. A year later, there are lot more female comedians and greater acceptance.
"Memes can change the opinion of the country":- tanmay bhat.
Futuristic.
@10:07 Tanmay, Man you got me!!!
'MEMEs can change the country' will stay true for a long time🙌🙌🙌
Now that I have watched most of the Amazon standups (atleast attempted to watch, and left halfway for most), these comments of people saying Aditi doesn't deserve and bla makes even less sense than ever. there were these lousy comedians repeating the same jokes which they had made in canvas club, with ditto same lines ( didn't even take effort to modify) and some unfunny lousy comedian whose name I can't remember although he is associated to a comedy group that I have subscribed to.
4:38 Just goes on to show how sincere he is for her opinions.
It was definitely interesting to see that some comedians are that oblivious to the unprogressive aspects of their "clan", that is a passive lack of female empowerment.
It felt like there was a lot of coldness between the boys and her, especially in the first half of the Adda. Or maybe I'm just wrong..the situation seems a bit like Aditi was this excluded person in school who was passively shut out by this group of bullies and now she has to engage with them at a big table in a civilized manner.
maybe, but to me it looked like she wasnt involving herself as the others were
thats exactly how it felt
I feel like the barrier for women in comedy is more audience based than colleague-based or venue-based. At least it feels that way from youtube comments.
Rivaldo and Daniel ji challenge authority like no one else... with humour, sarcasm, reality and truth... keeping in mind the popular view point.
Is it only me who thinks Aditi isn't funny !!
P.S.- I am not a male chauvinist !
Not finding her funny has nothing to do with gender. Simple.
I dont find Biswa funny either
Mallika Dua, and Sumukhi Suresh are really funny!
((little do they know, dislike even helps, lol))
Similarly on my how to be happy video, someone wrote I'm ugly.
Lol.
Rinky Sen Sharma amy is not funny. just saying.
In this type of group discussions Biswa rarely gets to speak even though most would love to hear him the most.
I also don't see a Transgender, a dalit in Comedy.
I know i am too late to answer this but bro sarkari dhanda nhi ki ismay v quota dena hoga subko.sbko bs muft ka chaiye sub.
@@SurajSingh-tk3ki Sarcasm tha bhai
@@SurajSingh-tk3ki Damn bro, 2020 me 1980's ki batein. Nostalgia!
Neeti Palta
Mic drop!!
21:49 2 minute silence for MAST AADMi
16:00 Kisi ko laash ke joke pe hasi aati hai to aati hai bhayee. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Now I really want to hear Vipul Goyal's Green Room jokes.
Kaneez Surka, Sumukhi Suresh, Mallika Dua, Garliyapa, and these are just very recent hits. You should probably ask their opinions too.
Who's here from Daniel Fernandis podcast with aditi and karunesh ?!!
Yaar mein judge nhi kr rha par table pe comedy chal rhi thi ye log maze kr rhe the fir aditi ne aggression dikhaya and everyone stop but good point
13:17 viswa in his mind 'bc mota pura popcorn pel gya'
11:42 it was Atul Khatri 😁
Watch every single face when Aditi is speaking, you'll be easily able to read their minds😂 Tanmay khaane pe focus Kar Raha hai, Zakir ko shake important hai, biswa is sleeping on the table staring at Aditi like "yeh kya bol rahi hai yaar"
That last segment of "Like share and subscribe" Oh boy Aditi looks super pissed.
Yeah man..i had social anxiety watching that coz i have been in situations like that..where i am the outcast in the friendly group of people.
No one is ready to say There are not enough female comedian who are talented enough. fear of feminism.
However, it is a much deeper issue than that. Comedians tend to speak their minds and voice their opinions - structures in society are such that women face such hurdles to begin with. Speaking your mind is a very recent revolution (if you could name it that) for women. It'll be a slow struggle but hopefully we will get somewhere :)
so true so true
bitu mishra You said it man!
my thoughts exactly xD lmao
Just like board rooms consist mostly of guys, and it has nothing to do with sexism. And the workforce consists mostly of men, and it has nothing to do with sexism. And kitchen work is done mostly by women, and it has nothing to do with sexism. And child rearing is mostly done by women, and it has nothing to do with sexism.
Get an education.
Thanks Film companion.....
Unique perspective bro!
@8:09 Biswa 😂
I hope Aditi can blaze the industry for next 5 years. She has the potential to do it.
Guys huge fan of all of you....
Wonderful...
Bollywood recruitment ka GD chal rha hai
*Sarcasm
Why is Aditi even invited when she is not even given a chance to speak in the first half of the discussion...??? Even when she was asked to answer the question she had to ask for permission to speak when others were interrupting her constantly...
Tanmay constantly eating and nodding while Aditi speaks is the funniest part 😂
after this interview aditi got netflix special and she combined all her old jokes and made one special. Lol. Biswa was right she did not have an hour.
I just watched the both parts because of vipul❤️❤️
somehow I feel in the 21st century, comedians have taken the place of social reformers
Can you list the reforms they have brought in the society?
thiruvetti they are influencing so many people which is greater than any social reform
Thank you, Aditi, for being so straight. Stand up comedy is a boys club filled with 'locker room' jokes. So much for being the most progressive clan in the country.
demon6592 damn on point
demon6592 i disagree with you. i think it IS the most progressive field, in the world maybe! i dont know the business or inside politics as a content consumer, but from what i've seen, the people in this field are feminists, respect women, and mark them as their equals. as aditi said, it is the investors who aren't investing in the females more. but after this, i hope at least one of these takes a stand and calls out those investors as to why equal opportunities are not being created.
2:54 if you have come from Daniel Fernandes's podcast.
Sumukhi has a amazon show..... So amazon does shows with women!
It happened after this interview. At the time, there wasn't
If you're funny , doesn't matter you're male or female you are going to be appreciated but you have to be funny
And aditi isn't
