I don’t think it’ll be enemies necessarily I think Colin will be upset but only because it puts Penelope at risk, he cares a lot about it and I think the context of her being LW will make it a lot more real and put things in perspective

Penelope always wrote things about herself and her family. She was always fair while she told the bitter truths of the Ton. In the books Eloise admired her for being Whistledown. Loved your reaction.
yep thats true and she never writes for revenge. I think the most "revenge" thing she wrote was when Cressida went to a different modiste. but thats it.
I really love watching you ladies react to movies and shows. Bridgerton is one of my fave shows, and I dont have any close girlfriends (other than my sister) who also enjoy it. Siting and watching your reactions feels like a hang out session with the girls, and always so enjoyable 😊

I love how Colin says, "Living for the estimation of others is a trap," while very actively living for the estimation of others himself. Take your own advice, Colin!
That was the whole point of that line. It was meant for both of them. Basically to remind us that Colin is trying to be somebody he is not. And when he kisses Penelope, he starts to become more of himself and realizes that she is the one who loves him the way he is and he does not have to pretend.
@@CW-rx2js Exactly this! I think the beautiful thing about the line is the extent to which he is misleading himself as much as (perhaps more than) he is misleading Pen. Colin is a full-on mess in these first four episodes, and it is delightful.

And did Debling really think that would of saved her?!?!?!?!?! because if that balloon kept on going it would of hit them BOTH....so Debling didn't really do anything to really help....Colin did the most work and he STOPPED that balloon!

What Penelope wrote about Colin in Lady Whistledown didn't seem that bad but she was basically calling him fake with the way that he came back with this newfound confidence. Basically implying that he's just putting up an act in front of everyone so that's why it was pretty savage cuz we saw how he was being this "player" but she called it out for him just pretending and not actually being himself which would make people question whether his personality is actually genuine or not.

The actors did an amazing job here. The feelings... oh god... so on point....
Colin is a Gentleman. You can not do this intimate things without asking for the Ladys hand. It would ruin her reputation otherwise. He loves her already so it made sense for him to ask her to marry him.
If you knew the book you would understand better how the feelings for him changed. It's a pitty that the show didn't show us more scenes to explain the way both of them have come to this point.
As for Lord Debling he was just not right for Penelope.

Watching your edit makes me remember that I do have some mixed feelings towards early season 3. 😊 I think what I'm trying to see other people's perspective of the season it's hard for me to come to a conclusion like they have, because I really do feel like I don't have enough context without the rest of the season. But I love Polin❤❤ no doubt 😂 and I had no worries during the carriage scene. But also, she ran away alone in a carriage at the end of episode 2.

Well, the first episode of this they reacted to caught me off-guard as I went through her video list looking for Seasons 1 and 2. No, I wasn't crazy. She never reacted to the first two seasons. They enjoyed the S3 Ep1 so much that I thought "well, I don't know and could care less about these characters, but the reaction was very good, so I guess I can't complain." But now, it seems to me they are confusing what should probably be a show they enjoy as personal viewing at home with content that really belongs on the channel. If I remember, I will return to watching the channel when the content returns to more customer-leaning content.
