  • After spinning for weeks in the Atlantic Ocean, Hurricane Epsilon set its sights on the shores of Western Europe, from Ireland to Portugal. But no place was bigger, or more in the spotlight, than Nazaré. Watch as Kai Lenny, Lucas "Chumbo" Chianca, Justine Dupont, Pedro "Scooby" Vianna, Andrew Cotton, and other big wave chargers take on some of the heaviest Nazaré of their lives.

I’d love to just be healthy enough to surf!! Any wave. I’m 61,just learned this past week I probably won’t see 62, so yeah, healthy alone would do it! However though, if I hadn’t lost this much weight, gotten this weak, and just a little more able to get towed onto one of these monsters, I’d DEFINITELY TRY IT! I surfed in my teens and early 20’s, before I started a family, got a great job on airplane , the F-14 TOMCAT Fighter Jet in 1979-1981, then other aircraft parts which I’m not allowed to discuss, I only worked on the Weapons Systems on the Tomcat, always wanted to go up, but even back then I don’t know if I could have handled 9G’s thrown at my body, even though I was that young! Anyway, if I was able to just drop in on one of these monsters, who can think of a better way to cash in without committing suicide on purpose? I think God would understand! All I do now though is Pray for All of you Brave Souls putting your lives on the line every time you let go of that Tow rope, or just use that last paddle stroke before ya drop in on that monster! GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU!!! I sincerely mean that, from every fiber of my being and on the souls of my loved ones, I pray for you all! God speed!

I am happy to see that Red Bull continues as always to take into account the opinion of the people... you have to understand that right now the Nazare videos are like the Holy Grail in which everyone runs to get there first and get the glory. Red Bull took too long to launch the video and when it was posted, the images presented are already more than seen and no matter how well the video is edited, the impact is no longer the same. In short, you have to be faster and more efficient, Red Bull is an institution with enough grandeur to always win the race for glory... the Red Bull Surfing RUclips channel cannot and should not be one of the last to to present the compilation of what happened in Nazare, this simply cannot happen and on top of that without exclusive images!
