It's really sad to see so many people we watched on tv are all gone. It makes you miss the old days and feel old.
I feel the same nostalgia and wistfulness watching these videos, but strangely, they also make me feel very “to everything there is a season.” Very comfortable with my place in time. If that makes sense. Somehow the videos demonstrate the continuity of life and death in a way that’s very comforting to me.
What an interesting story and it could only come from the best on RUclips! Recovering slowly from a sudden heart problem last week and this was the first time I could open my laptop in over a week and I found you...the best medicine! Thanks, Steve!!!
Hope you’re feeling better and on the way to a complete recovery!
Omg, Bill. That sounds scary. I hope you are doing OK now. 👍
Wishing for you a complete recovery!
Great story Steve. Some families are in different places and can’t come to an agreement for a burial site. Also one site for privacy and one for fans. In any case May they all Rest In Peace. Steve you always give us great information. Thank you for your kindness and respect for all those who have passed. ❤️and 🙏🏻from the big 🍎
Exactly! Thanks Maureen! 😊👍
You are Amazing with youre stories Steve!!!!! Love you're videos!!!!
Michael Hutchence was just beautiful. Loved INXS! Very sad that he died so young.
Steve, I so enjoy every video you put out. So grateful for you’re time and effort. Hope you and Jim are well.
Steve, I'm so glad I found your program. 🥳 You're So kind and informative. Thank You. 🌺
Thanks so much Kim. I’m glad you found my channel too! 😊👍
Steve Michael Hutchence REALLY takes me back…was a big INXS fan as they hit big during my late high school/early University years. On a side note their video “Never tear us apart” has Michael wandering a European City and he passes some very historic graveyards.
You are very observant RB! 😊👍
@@TheGraveyardChannel Told you -ALWAYS been fascinated by graveyards 😂
The video was shot in Prague.
@@lyndamck3446 yes 👍 thank you
@@Rotnbully No problem.
Thank you very much, Steve, for uploading this interesting video so that I can see it again.
Please have a nice day today. ©®

John Belushi has two, his headstone is in Chicago by his parents and his real grave is in Maine . Just watched something on him last week that showed where he really was .
Thanks for the heads up S & G! 👍
His real grave is actually in
Abel Hill Cemetery
Chilmark, Massachusetts
He had a brother too whom is alive still,Jim Belushi.
Steve what a great idea for a video. Forest Lawn looked very busy while you were there! I believe Hattie McDaniel has two memorials, a cenotaph at Hollywood Forever (where she wanted to be interred but due to racism it was denied) and her actual resting place at Rosedale. Thank you for the video Steve you do such awesome story telling❤️
Hi Jill, yes, it was ridiculously busy that day. I was thinking about doing a video about that lol. 😂 as for Hattie, I cannot believe that I forgot to include her. I visited both of her gravesites a few years ago. She will be in part two for sure. Thanks for the reminder! 😊👍
@@TheGraveyardChannel Steve it is because of your great videos that I even knew about Hattie to begin with. When I visited Hollywood Forever a few years ago, I was able to share with my son the story about Hattie and how she couldn’t be buried there so thank you for letting us know about her in the first place❤️
Yes, it's true that she has a cenotaph at Hollywood Forever, and that was because after she wasn't allowed to be buried there, the new owners extended an offer to have her moved there, but the family declined because she had been where she was for decades.
I love to hear Dinah Shore's version of "The Last Time I Saw Paris." So beautiful, and always makes me think of the heartbreaking occupation of Paris during WWII.
I never knew that you could have more than one gravesite. This is a very insightful video. With your videos it seems like I learn something new every time. Thank You for sharing this great video. Blessings to You and Jim.
Thank you Nancy! 😊👍
Hey Steve
So glad you are continuing
On with these wonderful,
Information packed stories!
I appreciate all the time and hard work that you put in to bring us these interesting videos .
Thank you Thank you!
KEEP them coming!
Thank you Jill 😊👍
Ok this is odd, but kinda related. Confederate General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson is also buried in two places. Most of him is buried in Lexington, VA. His left arm is buried in Chancellorsville VA where he lost it in a battle. Both sites have tombstones. Just a historic oddity, nothing political meant by me.
I don't think that is no longer true. After decades of this tale to prove it historians actually dug on the VA farm and did find his arm, then I heard it was re-buried with Jackson.
I'll have to check to see if he has two grave. Thanks, Ron!
I wonder if he still has two graves. I'll check. Thanks, Ed!
@@TheGraveyardChannel yes he does! I lived right next to chancellorville battle field. He also has a shrine in Caroline county, VA
It occurs to me that dividing my cremains among my family would be almost like a homecoming. But you know, I’d hate for there to be any squabbles over who got more, so I’d better make sure there’s plenty to go around. Somebody fetch me a cookie…
Lol 😂
I'm sitting in my Chevy Spark singing "See the USA in your Chevrolet". Dinah would sing that jingle in her tv show as Chevrolet was her main sponser.. Thanks for an unusual vlog, dual grave sites. I never knew that occurred.
I remember those Chevy commercials as a kid. We used to sing the jingle, "see the USA, drive a Chevrolet". ☺
Lol Joan, now I’m going to be singing that jingle all day! 😂👍
I just keep my husband’s ashes in my bedroom until I’m ready to be cremated. Then into the glass front niche we go! Thanks Steve for another great video!
Wow, I never knew that these celebrities have two gravesites until now. This was very informative. And no, I think I'm fine with just one. :D Though I already laid it out in my will (I'm a lawyer) that half of me goes inside the sakura urn I bought just a couple of years ago and when possible, half of my ashes will be scattered at a cherry blossom patch anywhere in springtime Japan, although my favourite place there is in Hokkaido. The sakura is deeply embedded in my psyche, the reason why. Anyway, thank you so much as always, Steve. Be safe always when you travel!
That’s really nice that you’ve already thought through your final arrangements and both places sound very special, Simone! 😊👍
I am a fellow (google trained) lawyer
Hi Steve. Always great to hear from you
Thank you Steve. You do such a wonderful job crafting these videos with your narration, videography and personal warmth. You rock.
Thank you for this very interesting video, Steve! I'm so glad I came across your channel! I'm planning to have my ashes scattered over the graves of my parents, my brother, my cousin, and both of my best friends. I hadn't planned on having a marker, but after watching this, I'm considering having a cenotaph at the foot of my mother's grave. Actually, I think I'll do that! Thanks so much, Steve! 😁❤☺💖
Thanks for sharing this with us gena. That sounds like a great idea!
@@TheGraveyardChannel Thank YOU, Steve! I don't know why I didn't think of it before! Thanks for planting the thought in my mind. I really appreciate it! 😁❤☺💖🌷👍💡🎬🕊🌹
Two resting places? Not at these prices! Thank you Steve your the best.
Wish I could donate to your channel as your channel is one of my favorites to watch ! I have several I love the best and you are one of my favorites ! Have a nice day ! Glad you are doing better love to you and Jim !
Hi Patti, watching and subscribing is more than enough! Thanks!
@@TheGraveyardChannel the grave marker in hollywood forever cemetery must be wrong. it says jayne mansfield was born in 1938 and died in 1967. you said she was born in 1933 and died in 1967.
Hi another great vid. Stay safe love from aberdeen scotland.
Thank you, richard! That's awesome that you watch from Scotland!

Another Great video Steve, sorry i haven't commented in a while. I've been in the Hospital. but its good to be home & catch up on the video's of yours i missed. God Bless my Friend & take care.
Hello steve! I yes I have never given two graves or more gravesite a thought. But why not! Once again I have to reiterate that's your panning skills are just expert all the way! You are my favorite vlogger because of your great intro and panning skills. Well done my friend!
Thanks so much Connie 😊👍
Nice video Steve, i loved!
As usual another great job Steve thank you so much for all your videos and all the information and for just making this fun for us. Dinah shore was amazing. Her legacy should never fade. Thanks again be safe out there and see you later!
Hi Steve thank you for the video you do so much research and give great information you and Jim take care stay safe and have a great weekend
Oh goodness! I just watched Dinah Shore on Alice last night. As for Much Hutchence, what a talent and sad loss. Still listen to INXS to this day. Thank you so much ❣️
My wife and I had visited Forever Hollywood and Forest Lawn in the Hollywood Hills this week. Beautiful cemeteries
Hey Steve great to see ya again, is it hot out there for you stay cool, it was great to know that some famous people have more than one gravesites keep up the good and keep the videos coming.
Hi Friend Steve:
Another very informative cemumentary. Random trivial point, I believe Dinah Shore and Burt Reynolds, another subject of one of your cemumentaries, were an item for a while; she must have been something being 20 years his senior.
I'm an Orthodox Jew and we kind of frown on cremation. I have a plot in a military cemetery in Israel if I need it. My father is American and he has a family plot in a Jewish cemetery where he lives, so that's an option. My mother has a few grave reservations (double entendre not intended) in Netanya, Israel, where I'm from. I will leave it to my children, if I'm ever so blessed, to decide.
L'Shalom,
SR
I guess I am too much of a control freak to leave the decision to someone else. It’s nice that you are able to do that, Saykhel! 😊👍
Interesting feature again. So happy I subscribed.
Thanks Mary. I’m happy you did too. 😊👍
Hi, Steve good video always informative, thank you
Another great video. Michael Hutchence was one of my favorite singers and INXS was one of my favorite groups and I was sad when he passed. He was close to both Simon LeBon of Duran Duran and Bono of U2 and the three of them were going to work on a project before he passed. This would have been so cool being a huge fan of all three bands/singers but never happened. Both bands also wrote songs dedicated to Hutchence. One of them (I think it was LeBon) recently stated they thought he was murdered and wants the case reopened. If I recall, Paula Yates (who had been previously married to Bob Geldof of the Boomtown Rats and Live Aid/Band-Aid fame) died about 1-2 years after him. She was involved in a brutal custody battle with Geldof and ironically he raised the child she had with Hutchence with their daughters after she died. Such a shame Hutchence died passed early. Having two graves is something I've heard of, I remember a battle over ashes, and they were buried in different places. This is the case with my paternal grandmother, half of her was spread in London England (her birthplace), and the other half around Chicago (where she lived after marrying my grandfather).
Thanks Steve.
Very interesting upload.
As always,
Best wishes to you and Jim
DJ from the UK!!
Thank you, DJ!
Newly subbed. Dang, love these. You are awesome but this is really sad. Much love
Love the video Steve I remember the Dinah Shore T .V. show Always had asmile on her face always. She use to dayeBurt Reynolds . Thanks again Steve Aways enjoy .
Really enjoyed hearing this information Steve l always look forward to hearing from you I think Hattie McDaniels has two graves and Lucy does also as always thanks for the memories.
Love your channel Steve. When Truman Capote died he was cremated and part of his ashes were given to Joanna Carson his best friend, Joanna Carson, part to his long term companion, Jack Dunphy, and part interred at Westwood Memorial Park (Joanna Carson is also there). The ashes that Joanna had were auctioned to an unknown individual, and the other third were mixed with Jack Dunphy's when he passed away in 1992 and scattered at their property in Long Island, NY (all this from the Find A Grave website). I have been to Truman's boyhood home in Monroeville, AL and one of his final resting places in Westwood.
Thank you for sharing I never heard about people have 2 grave site hope you are having a great day stay safe out there till next time.
Thank you Olivia and you too!
Michael's mom and sister placed his ashes in LA. Kelland, his father, scattered his portion of ashes in Sydney harbor. the 3rd portion, that went to Paula...she kept them til her death. I heard, that bob geldof (her former husband) scattered both of their ashes together. He ended up raising Tiger, Michael and Paula's daughter.
Omg, I didn’t know that Paula died. I just looked it up. How sad. Thanks for sharing this with us Phineas! 😢
Thanks bless you thanks
@@TheGraveyardChannelPaula & Bob's eldest daughter also died, both from a heroin overdose, 14 years apart
I always learn something from you Steve thank you
Thanks Alex. That’s nice to hear! 😊👍
I didn't know Michael Hutchence had a grave marker in the US, period!
I'm new to your channel. I'm enjoying your content.☺👍
I think 1 is just fine with me. A very informative and loving video Steve.. Thank you - be safe and be well...
Thanks Ted!
thank you for sharing
Very well done. Cheers!
Fascinating !
Very interesting video, thank you.
Multiple Gravesites...Great video subject Steve! Thanks for the Michael Hutchence story...I was not aware he had 3 sites (I thought he only had 2). He along with INXS were some of the greatest concerts I enjoyed through the 80's! Amazon Prime has the documentary "MYSTIFY" about him up now on the site (if you are subscribed)...it's super informative and very well done about his life!!! Thanks for the memories as always Steve!!!
This one hits close to home. Not only was I a fan of John, but we were born on the same day and same year, 01/22/1960. If John was still alive he would be 61 years old.
Pretty amazing! I guess they can bury half of me here in the Central Coast and the rest of me in my home town!! Thanks Steve.
Wow I never knew they had two grave sites. Tfs Steve,I hope you & Jim are doing well💞💞
Again Steve great video
Thanks Tom!
I'm 57 and can remember some of Dinah Shore, but it could of been after her death, I was born in 64, The year the Beatles came to America... thank you for these video's, just wish they where longer. Hugs from wisconsin 💘
Hi Steve, after you mentioned if there was any famous person with more than one grave site, I thought of Andy Gibb. He is buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in L.A., but there is also a memorial stone in Thame, Oxfordshire, UK, where his brother Robin Gibb is buried as well @ St. Mary's Cathedral Cemetery.
Thank you for the heads up Elizabeth. A couple of years ago I visited his gravesite at Forest lawn in the Hollywood hills, but I didn’t know that he had a headstone in the UK! 😊👍
Wow 😄 two gravesite 👇 beautiful ♥️ information 🤔 watching fr jamaica 😎🌅🏖️
Thank you Clive! 😊👍
Thanks for another presentation. I listen to Dinah Shore on Spotify and on the web.
Jayne Mansfield has a daughter named Marsika Hargitay who is an actress as well. She is Olivia Benson on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
This is a very intriguing video, and it makes sense you have a great sense of what people like. Damn I was just typing you on Jane Mansfield in penna but you beat me too it I have been to that grave site. Great video my friend.
LOL, isn't that funny. As they say, great minds think alike, Harolyn! :-)
@@TheGraveyardChannel yes and because I have learned from you how to better research I am traveling about checking on these Graves I keep learning, your videos are a great teaching tool, there are a lot of channels that are out there but you, and sidesteps adventures are the best you always have good presentation and you and sidestep adventures show respect to their places of rest. That is mandatory for videos like these type. Good job you are getting respect in return
This is a controversial figure but Bloody Bill Anderson has 3 graves with body parts in all three. Missouri, Kentucky and Ohio. I always find it fascinating to see multiple graves for people although most seem to be a cenotaph. Of the ones you covered I only knew about Jane Mansfield having two so this was interesting.
Hi Rhetty, I remember watching your video on this long ago, but I couldn’t remember the name of the person. 😊 thanks for the reminder. 👍
Great video 📸📸📸
Thank you, Joe! 🙌
Great video, Steve! The actor John Belushi has two markers. He is buried at Martha’s Vineyard located in Massachusetts. The cemetery name escapes my mind. He does have a cenotaph in Elmwood park, Illinois in a cemetery called elmwood. He’s also got relatives at the latter
Great story. And in answering your question. No I am not planing in two resting places. One is expensive enough.
Great video Steve
Thanks Nana!
I thought Jane Mansfield was buried near her home town in Pennsylvania?
Very interesting vlog Steve. Love Catherine 54 NW England 🇬🇧xxx
Thanks, Kath!
After I went to Italy for the first time, I came home and asked my daughter if she cared where I was buried. She said "Well, I don't want you on my bookcase". I was a little hurt, but not too much, because I knew exactly where I wanted to be (I was single, and in my 50's). On my foray around Italy, I went to Taormina, Sicily, and it was so beautiful. I visited the Greek & Roman Theater there, and sat in the rows up top. The view was spectacular! The Mediterranean sparkling in the sun down below, and the steam from Mt Etna blending in with the white puffy clouds in that blue sky. The history of it was overwhelming, and I walked over the cobblestones, and ran my hand along the wall in one of the tunnels, and just thought about how many millions of people had come before me in 2,000 yrs or so. I told my daughter that I wanted her to have me cremated, and then take me over to Taormina, and kick me around that Greek & Roman Theater! LOL I couldn't think of any place that I would feel more at home, surrounded by the beauty, and the history of such a magnificent place. (I'm not Italian, but I think I was in a previous life :)
Hattie McDaniel has a cenotaph at Hollywood Forever Cemetery but her remains are buried at Angelus Rosedale Cemetery in Los Angeles. Coach Tom Landry of the Dallas Cowboys has a cenotaph at the Texas State Cemetery in Austin next to his wife Alicia whose remains are buried there, but his remains are buried at Sparkman Hillcrest Cemetery in Dallas.
Omg, I visited both of Adamy McDaniels gravesites a few years ago, I completely forgot she had to while I was making this video. ☹️ I will definitely have to include her in part two. And I didn’t know about Tom Landry, so thank you for the heads up Joey! 😊👍
You are fantastic!
Hi Steve have an awesome day friend 😘
Told my kids to scater my ashes if they bury me told them I will come back and haunt them 😁 they said ok you haunt us in life so we want a rest when your gone !! Love my kids 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol 😂👍
Lucille Ball has 2 grave sites. She has a cenotaph in Forest Lawn Memorial Park LA, but in 2002 her relatives relocated her ashes to Jamestown NY (Lake View Cemetery). Heath Ledger has 2 graves (ashes spread in family plot) and a memorial stone a mile away at a park, and Toto (Wizard of Oz) was originally buried where the Ventura Freeway is, and now has a memorial plaque at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
Lucille Ball has two gravesites. She was originally interred at Forest Lawn in Los Angeles. Her cremains were later moved to Lake View Cemetery in Jamestown, NY.
great video MR steve
MH was such a sexy lead singer! So sad that he died so young. But this was a great idea for a video, Steve!💐
Thanks Maryann 👍
Interesting video Steve... Hope you and Jim are doing well..
Thanks John. We are and I hope you are too!
Steve......Just saw on facebook that Burt Reynolds now has a sculpture at his grave. Say hello to your husband. Please stay happy and safe .
Hi Norma, I was there last Sunday looking for it but it wasn’t up yet. ☹️ i’m going to see if I can get back there this weekend. The official unveiling isn’t supposed to be until next week so hopefully they don’t have it covered. Thanks Norma!
Hi Steve. I’m from Australia and there was a lot of talk about the reason for Michael Hutchence death. I recall there were reports of his death being from autoerotic asphyxiation. The coroner ruled it suicide, but his partner Paula Yates maintained he had died when I sex game went wrong. He was found in a kneeling position facing the door. Paula Yates had been married to Bob Geldof when she met Hutchence. She and Hutchence had one child together. His Wikipedia page goes into detail about his personal life. Paula Yates died in 2000 of a heroine overdose. Their daughter was raised by Bob Geldof with the children he had with Paula. Eventually he adopted her. One of Paula and Bob’s children also died of a heroin overdose. The whole story is sad, especially for all their children.
Thank you AS! I remember Paula talking about that on the 60 minutes episode done in Australia. I was shocked when I just found out the other day that she had also died. I agree with you, very very sad for the kids! 😢
General Billy Mitchell has a cenotaph in The Portal of the Folded Wings in California and buried in Forest Home cemetery in Milwaukee WI where I grew up.
The mother of Michael Hutchence, Patricia Glassop, was residing in the NoHo area @ the time of her son's passing (and had been living there for quite some time), and that her son spent a year or so w/ her (c. 1976) when he attended North Hollywood HS for about a year and picked-up his chops for his future career while there. (He moved back to Australia and soon afterwards helped form INXS.) After his death, the settling on the cremation and the dividing up of his cremated remains, his mother brought her portion and had them interred in the FLHH plot which she purchased. He was buried in a very strictly private service held on Saturday, November 20th, 1999, and only along w/ her in attendance was his step-sister, Tina, and several of his high school classmates. I read that Paula Yates had her portion sewed-up in a pillow. Song lyricist Mack David has two as well: MSHH, and FLCC. And Panama Canal civil engineer Otis Pritchett, one crypt @ FLG and the other @ H4E, each w/ the very same style bronze tablet.
Hi Craig, wow, thank you so much. That is so interesting to know about Hutchence. And thank you for the heads up regarding the other two famous people with two graves. I will see if I can find them and include them in part two! FLCC Forest Lawn Cathedral city? I was just there a couple of hours ago and sent you an email about it. Now I have another reason to go back 😊👍
Hi Steve,
Just curious if anyone knows what happened to Doris Day. I think that her final resting place has never been divulged.
Thank you for sharing another interesting video.
Wow! What a great topic. Of course the first one that comes to my mind is Michael Jackson, as he has a cenotaph in Detroit at Woodlawn cemetery. The funeral home next to the original Motown studio donated 2 plots at Woodlawn for all of the stuffed animals and gifts that were left for Michael at Motown after he died. They had them on the flower car and everything. I’m sure there’s video here of it. But I want to be spread in several places, and some of my cremains given to each child and my granddaughter so I can go with them when they go. 💜
WOW very interesting super kool ,1st class great info.,, AAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++ again great video I liked it a lot ,keep up the great work.
I’m a little confused. Please let me know if I missed something. The grave marker for Jayne Mansfield said 1938-1967 which would make her 29 at death. You commented she was 34. When I googled her sure enough she was born in 1933, not 1938, and was indeed 34 years old. So why did that marker say 1938??
Another great story...the bust of Burt Reynolds was installed at his grave...keep up the great visits
Thanks Barbara. I was there last weekend looking for it and it wasn’t there yet. Hopefully I can get back there this weekend. 😊👍
@@TheGraveyardChannel I think it was installed a few days ago
Just to give you a tidbit: when Jane Mansfield died in a car accident, it was under a semi , and that’s when the rear end bar was created in her name. All big trucks have the ‘Mansfield Bar’
I remember hearing Micheal passed away on the radio driving to work on a Saturday.
Hi hope you are ok keep the video love the video
Jayne Mansfield's daughter is actress Mariska Hargitay of Law & Order: SVU fame. Mariska was a baby at the time and was actually in the car with her mother, but obviously survived, which is a miracle, considering that the force of the crash was so violent that her mother was reportedly decapitated on impact!
Jayne Mansfield. On the back of semi trailers, the bumper that hangs down from the deck of the trailer is called a Mansfield bar. It's supposed to stop cars from going under the backside of the semi trailer like the car Jayne was driving. Also many people don't know that Mariska Hargitay, from Law & Order, was Jayne's daughter and was in the car when the accident occured. A lot of people do know, but some don't!
When I was in Nepal in Kathmandu is a large Stupa, it is a solid earth filled monument that is one of 7 containing remains of Buddha. This has got to be a record.
Wow, that is so interesting, Ed! And that must be a record! 😊
Hi Steve, I happen to know that Hugh O'Connor, adopted son of Carroll O'Connor, was born in Italy, and his ashes are there, but he has a cenotaph at Westwood Memorial on his parents grave. Hugh starred with his father, Carroll O'Connor in, "In the Heat of the Night." He was 33 years old, and took his own life by shooting himself in the head on his last big cocaine binge. He called his father right before he shot himself, but Mr. O'Conner didn't make it in time.
It was a huge story in where Mr. O'Connor sued Hugh's cocaine dealer, and it went to court.
I loved that tv show, and still watch the reruns. Hugh became addicted to drugs as a young man I think due to some illness for pain management. You can see in his character, Lonnie Jamison that he was stoned most of the time.
Thank you for the heads up Mary Ann. I kind of remember this now that you say it. 👍
Thank you Steve this was very interesting are used to watch the Dinah shore show I liked Michael Hutchence like him to a lot Good job Steve
Thanks Thomas 😊👍
Thanks you steve see you soon tell jim have fun game ing hope to see him to
Thanks Donna and I will 👍
Always wanted a vacation place 😂.
My mom and dad is buried or I should say scattered in two different places. When we had the ceremony for them their only grandchild (my nephew)couldn’t come down so we say save some of the ashes for him to scatter where he lives a part of them
