I’m 75 yrs old and yours is the first saw mill I’ve ever watched. I used to go to the lumber yard with my father and saw all the 2x4s and planks stacked up in neat piles. Didn’t realize how they came about. Now I know all those boards grew on trees LOL
The fact that you never stop to turn and wigle to find the best out of you're lumber gives you honor my friend, and the honesty and loose communication that you have with all off us it's just owesome, thank you for everything, I truly appreciate it !
Another good one guys.... i like watching and learning about the mill, but more so i like the camaraderie, even though you guys do not see or hear me :) lol
Always enjoy your commentary as your sawing. Many yrs ago I used to stop by a mill and the Sawyer offered many time for me to saw a log. Always was afraid. Was a mill like yours. Take care.
Six o’clock on a Sunday morning nice timber coming off the mill again , can’t get out of the habit of getting up early but the dogs like to get up and go out chasing wild life, any way you guys have a nice day
Love to watch sawmill videos. My grandpa always used oak on anything he built. When he quit farming and moved in to town he built his house out of oak. A guy that bought it years after grandpa passed away decided to take it down. It was built was oak 2 by 4s that was a full 2" by 4" broads. And he had put 5 nails in the ends of all the studs. I when by there one day and he told me that if he had known the house was built like it was he would have never tried to take it down by hand on his own. Dan 🇺🇸
Short version In Vermont, we do logging a lot more in the winter than summer. For 3 big reasons, one, the trees are dormant that we cut. Unless it's an evergreen, 2 things skid much easier on frozen ground and with snow 3, it doesn't damage to ground. Hardly at all compared to summer time skidding and harvesting
@@markgalicic7788 The camphor is exclusively native to Florida, wasn't sure if you had some. It makes the smell of Vick's Vapor, it does chip and stump grind easy. That eucalyptus is rock hard, makes a word chipper sound like it's being turned inside out. Not sure how it would mill out, Just my experience. I recommended my buddy to you, Thank you.

It sounds like they're reaching you don't do much work. It's because it's winter right now. To me, that is insane because in Vermont where I'm from and know I'm not a liberal That's a more of an anarchist nowadays. Anywho, winters when we do the logging up here? Heavy and Vermont one, the trees are dormant and it's a lot better for them to be cut when they're dormant. The ones that do go dormant obviously pine never do or any kind of evergreen. I should say at least not in this state and the logs get a lot easier on frozen ground. And if there's snow, it's even a bonus. So to me, hearing that as a reason is like an excuse, but it's not an excuse. It is a reason and I now get that. But we take advantage of winter and everyway
Dear @@markgalicic7788 There is definitely a ginormous lack of decency nowadays. But aggressive behaviour is growing significantly. Dumb brazenly behaviour even more, sigh. Best regards, luck and health to all of you.

The mill I worked at years ago,I remember the Sawyer sawing a crotch like that and hitting a stone that was grown in there (bang) that wasn't good
yes I have found thing hidden there before like a old chain.
What happened to the camera on the roof of the cab loved the roof cam bring it back ok
it takes two cameras to film it and I only had one today.

hope you liked it John.

it's too loud for that.
