I'm from Vietnam, but I'm currently living in the UK. About 12 years ago I came across Orhan Pamuk's novels, not even actual books - I pirated PDFs off the internet! You'd be surprised how many there are. I think you can find Aşık Veysel classics in numerous genres from heavy metal to jazz or from acoustic indie to typical pop haha
You should also check Asik Veysel from Joe Satriani.
