The lat and long info was entered inaccurately. The mirage expresses coordinates in degrees and decimals. On the map you record them in degrees and minutes. Thus, you need to convert your coords from the map, to decimal. Not too much of a problem. You just need to divide your minutes with 60, then enter the values into the INS. As you saw you will still get where you need to go, but you will have a some inaccuracy without the conversion.

Very useful video! I found the mirage INS panel to be a bit unintuitive even after doing the training missions in-game, but this helped clear things up. Thanks!

Another superb video - I learnt a lot throughout this one. Thank you. Hope to fly 'with' of 'for' you at some point in the future. Well done.

if u cant keep you head tracker still, (presuming you are using track ir 5), just pause it where you want to look.

So the WPT symbology on radar screen isn't there right from the beginning? You have to validate one by one? Or is there a way, how to have it loaded already on ramp start? Too many questions, sorry. Thank You. Oh and thank You for the video btw.

A small correction, at 1:02 nautical miles and miles are different. A nautical mile is equivalent to 1 minute of latitude so technically it would be incorrect to call it a mile and a half.

It looked like the old waypoint 5 was showing degrees and decimal minutes, and you tried to enter the new data as degrees minutes seconds. If that is the case, it would cause some error in the waypoint position.

According to Drachen, ruclips.net/video/fAWhojfeoyc/видео.html the last 2 digits need to be entered as a Percentage of 60. So if the F10 map shows 15 seconds then you should enter 25 (15 is 25% of 60). Basically add a couple zeros to the end of the number and divide it by 60. This could be why the waypoint was so far out. He also explains how to increase accuracy by resetting INS.

I am not sure, but IMO you've entered coordinates in wrong format. It is not DD.MM.SS, but DD MM.
    hundreths of MM
