This is GREAT work! The non-profit I work for FieldWatch supports 100's of 1,000's of acres of seed corn and workers across the corn-belt. Would LOVE the rights to use even a portion of this to share with others as to what / who we are helping to bring awareness to. We would clear any Sygenta references with them as well... Thanks!
Just happened to stumble across this video. Takes me back to when I detasseled corn in my early teens. Definitely hard work! We didn’t get to ride, though. We had to walk down every row.
Holy cow! Hastings Nebraska! I remember those days as a kid, detasseling in the fields. It was HARD work, but a good job for a teenager. Great video. And Kool-Aid Days in Hastings is a hoot every year!
+Cody Butler I was working in the plant , but now I work for a Pioneer in Ukraine, and two seasons I had a chance to work on the field and I like it , new experience, new people ... One day I want to come back to the USA and spend some time there .
EnderBrosGaming Wear long sleeves, pants/sweatpants, no shorts. Also wear gloves and if you have corn rash on your neck, wear a bandana or cloth on your neck.
If you've already got it try using aloe. But generally speaking, if you've already got corn rash get it covered quick because if not, it will get way worse. Then again this comment was posted two years ago so whatever.
This is a great thing. Good kid. Many pieces of shit from the city could learn a lot about life from hangin' with good kids like this. Awesome. I'm impressed.

I heard of it. Kids did it in my home town in Iowa. But I never detasseled corn. Thanks for this video. I learned from it.
Go Big Red! Scott Frost was a 5 Star detasseling recruit
