It would be much more difficult to start over. Guaranteed there would be plenty of Ballard draft picks the new GM would want to keep.
Let Ballard play out his contract and see what happens.

we forgot just how good D Lenard was. at his peak he was a monster. that's the thing, ballard can draft guys. so many guys late round guys. buck was traded for a 11th over all pick. man, latu, if he had a spin move or just a inside move at all he would be good. they claimed latu had 3 moves, I only ever saw 1. out run the LT.

He’s a rookie that got 1/2 the snaps of ol boy on Texans, with the same stats. Latu will be good, I’m concerned about dbs. He does not know how to draft impact players at DB

Typically it takes two years for a pass rusher to start shining. I still think Latu has something special there.

@jeffcena9577 ya I'm not trying to dog Latu. I think he will be very good aswell. Just the fact the coaches were talking him up like he had all these moves when he really didn't. but he has effort and heart and he is fast as heck. once he fine tunes his craft I think he will be really good.

It's over. We're way too far removed from Polian-Dungy-Manning to still think Irsay is top notch owner. There are teams at top of coming draft closer to winning ten games than Colts are. It's a scared, stubborn franchise from the very top on down. Project QBs like AR historically haven't really worked, but this environment cemented it.

You just argued for the colts to do what they did in the past. That did not work at all and you want them to do it again.I don't think you quite understand what you're saying. GM and head coach need to be fired together, so the new G.M can hire his guy right away..... You are just in love with shane so much even though not one person can tell me why. This really truly is the only plan that makes any sense if you want a successful franchise in the feature. It aint about this year. It's about next year and that draft. All depends on can Anthony, play football or not. You all want to keep Shane?Well we gotta keep ballard too. cuase we have to be all in on the 2025 draft, I would.
Imagine it would be really hard to get a G. M in here willong to deal with whatever the f*** We have going on right now for the 2025 draft. it's complex. but im all about Arch Manning, and there's a few other really nice looking QBs, but we all know, it's about having the right coach with the right QB. Shane has sucked. BAD. U guys all loved frank too. I remember.... loved him after the firing.. lol main stream did. maybe not local, but u all called frank a genius for so long lol. u can't keep doing things wrong and expcting a better result. new gm must be allowed to get his coaches. that shit is just too important. culture and standards are dictated by the HEAD coach. not the gm, gm gets the guys, the HC manages them. keeping chuck was such a mistake. hell, letting bruce walk for chuck was an even bigger mistake. grigson might still have a job! lol that's how important a good HC is. Shane won't even call screen plays to help out his young QB get in rythem. don't get me started on time outs and wierd ass clock management on a regular, or taking jt off the field on 4th and 1s. running trick plays when the games on the line, just like frank. I can go on and on. his play calling is good at times and really bad for stretches of time. 7 jt runs in row and now we r in a 3 rd and long. guys need a breather get a throw ing there. hate how they rotate the RBs too. give 27 a hole series, I'd take jt out 1 or 2 plays here n there, not hole drives. anyways.

I didn't realize Bill Polian was in the comments section😂 Dont act like you know anything more than anybody else, especially when you can barely handle punctuation. I cant believe how many all-pro caliber GM's live in these comments!

If your goal is to improve the on-field product, its 100% foolish to bring back Ballard and Steichan, and hand AR the starting QB without serious competition. Not so foolish if the profit margin is more important than the product. So, we are faced with the question; is Irsay foolish, or simply prioritizing the bottom line over the product.
