    A course with you actually showing your approach to building a track start to finish with all the hacks you use on the tutorials since I know you are doing things in real time and you actually make quality tracks when given more time as you showed on the stream and for people who actually follow you, more so they "why" you are doing what you are doing if that makes sense. Which you pretty much already do which is why I think people gravitate towards your style of teaching but a course where you create a track and do different genres and go more into the "why" you pick what you pick such "sound selection". I know that kind of stuff takes a litter longer to explain in tutorials which would be cool for a course. Appreciate the knowledge as always MG! Keep grinding!

    I love the Patreon idea for crowdfunding arrangement and chord breakdowns. Then you don't have to worry about youtube if you breakdown a popular song and Patreon makes subscription based content easy. There was a video you did on dancehall structure for a sub, having a fee for requested videos like that where you tweak session files would be great too.

    I believe you should courses on your website about everything you gravitate. Like LoFi, Trap, R&B, etc. I’m down for a course on Studio One 4, and also the styles of tracks that I mentioned. I’ll definitely buy some if not all the courses because I know they’re going to be great.
    If you do please announce it so I can brake my bank account. Thanks for the knowledge brother. Keep doing your thing.

    Absolutely dope! So far we got the vst tools for music theory. Now we got the song structure. To tie it all together having a understanding of the elements of a song. Ie...drums,bass ect.
    I wonder if there can be a formula based on frequency pertaining to these elements.
    Thank you for all the knowledge you pass down.
    I know what you about✊🏿

    My 2cents... you can use the extra content to increase your audience/awareness on places that you are not targeting today. Maybe check some of those online courses platforms as udemy or something similar that has a worldwide and big audience. Your content deserves to be better know and you could direct that new audience to generate more traffic to your site, ytube, etc. You create great content, so no matter where is, we will follow. But if you can use your extra investment on time to increase your awareness even more, the better. Thanks again.

    Your knowledge of production and your ability to teach it the way you do would be diminished by accepting donations through Patreon. If I had your platform, subscribers ears and your knowledge, wisdom and understanding I'd setup an email list of all the interested parties, go with a reasonable flat monthly fee for exclusive content, and then plan on shooting regular intervals of pre-recorded video content. Once you have that you have your product and you can just host it all from mgthefuture.com, automate the delivery of the exclusive video content through Send Owl or some derivative thereof and just keep exclusive content moving from that point forward. When in doubt just ask yourself WWGVD (What Would Gary Vee Do?) Just don't WWBWBD because his advice will have you copying other people's content and cleverly re-wording the titles...BLAP...Subliminals!

    • @MGTheFuture
      @MGTheFuture  6 лет назад

      The Gary vee part tho...I felt that. That’s likely why I haven’t dont it already 😭 but there is so,e types of content I don’t do or can’t do, and the platform to do that would be important to figure out. I need to peep send owl and the others, and a way to collect subscriptions efficiently. Thanks

    Come on. Nearly everybody into music knows that.
    But hasn't popular music in the last decades become more boring and with less and less harmonical foundation already.
    This video supports that downward spiral further more. Now everybody knows how too make a total boring but possibly successful song :o) LOL

      @@MGTheFuture,
      Are no chord progressions or tonal bases like a certain key used in those two genres?

  • @southhour5241
    @southhour5241 6 лет назад +3

    Its asinine to learn the most popular progression just learn how to make them why cut corners. Thats why records for the past 2 decades a just these circular 4 bar loops. Chord replacement is the skill that separates the strong from the weak. Numerology is simple as pie if you don't get it read the Quadrivium. Cookie cutter beats rely on bombastic percussion but have zero long lasting appeal. Production techniques can't completely mask an inability to play instruments they should be used to emphasise musical skill not mask inadequacy. Thats why hiphop is generally trash tbh.

    • @MGTheFuture
      @MGTheFuture  6 лет назад +2

      The most popular progression hasnt changed for 300 years...id bargain...its worth the know.
      Also...all of its substitutions have been flipped and flopped.
      Theres no original slant on it.
      Hiphop died with sample clearance denials.
      Pop became trash...but its functional music for functional masses.
      Yolo

    • @kennymonsters
      @kennymonsters 6 лет назад +3

      Hip hop is a 10 billion dollar a year industry and has driven culture and commerce around the globe for the past 3 decades since it started (hardly trash). The kids coming up are finding ways to create music more efficiently without wasting 20 years of life on music lessons and as a result the software and hardware companies are responding with tools to make it possible. And I'm showing my age here, but If it wasn't for Hip Hop, B-boy culture and turntabilsm we wouldn't have half of the technological advancements we have seen in the analog or digital gear that we've seen in the past 30 years either. The needs of the Hip hop producer/artist has produced so many business opportunities and technological advancements that it's in my humble opinion one of the main reasons the music industry has grown as much as it has in the past 30 years. Before hip hop came along the music industry was just a bunch of broke artists and musicians touring around the country in a van playing festivals. The only people making any real money were cutting vinyl records.

    • @BruhBroham2001
      @BruhBroham2001 6 лет назад +2

      Coming out of arguably the most dominant decade by one artist in music history (the 80s), Hip Hop literally caused the biggest pop star in history (Michael Jackson) to abandon his comfort zones and adapt a hip hop based style because he didn't want to be behind the times. On the other hand, someone like Prince refused to accept the genre as legit until it was too late and we saw how his 90s went in comparison. It has been the most culture defining music genre for the longest and will continue to be. The "you need to learn an instrument" narrative is pretentious if anything else at this point tbh.

    • @iceymagoo
      @iceymagoo 6 лет назад

      @@BruhBroham2001 you're forgetting that 90s R&B & New Jack Swing were just as much if not more the reason for what happened with Prince and Michael.
