To keep spay paint from clogging. Turn upside down and spay until clear. Also if you store cans of paint upside down, the paint will seal any small air holes (just check on it so doesn't leak). I am new to Cricut so only tip I have it; Adding on to measure 2 cut once, I cut out on paper then arrange it on the item, before I cut vinyl.
Tanner, can you put put some videos on lists of things as a beginner Cricuter that we can spend our money on like a little paycheck spree? Example: $50 to spend $100 to spend $200 to spend Assuming we already have the machine of course. And break down these lists into Supplies Materials Organization Etc This would be so helpful and also makes great YT Shorts. Thanks
Ahahaha - I did my very first vinyl project last night and realized as soon as I peeled that first corner up that my letters were WAY too tiny 😂 I did a bit of redesigning so I could make them larger. For a first project I think it turned out pretty well. Many lessons learned 🥰
Another thing that's not good about the smart material is that it doesn't always stay in place while cutting. The mat keeps everything where it needs to be because of the stickiness. You don't have the same security with smart vinyl.
Great tips! The glue gun is super cute and love that’s wireless. Thank you for all the reminders - measure 2x cut 1x, check your wood, don’t spray paint too close 😊. I’m going to be honest I’m afraid of tackling those super tiny fonts…they’re too delicate.
I don't know if yall will see this (or respond to it) but I really have nowhere else to turn. I have had my Cricut for a few years (and I LOOOOOVE it) but for no reason I can explain, it will often throw an error 18 in the middle of a cut (why is it always a larger one? /sob) and force me to start over. Sometimes I can reuse the same sheet I was mid-cut on and sometimes I can't which can quickly turn into a huge waste of vinyl. Have yall ever run into this and know a fix for it?
Omg! Glitter vinyl 🫣the fact that it’s so pretty doesn’t even make up for how much of a pain it is to work with! It’s not even as sticky as regular vinyl! I would avoid this at all costs because it’s just not even worth the hassle and a complete waste of money!

The repeating of the same thing gets old quick. We get it move onto the next thing.
