  • Today we explore Waterdeep, also known as the City of Splendors or the Crown of the North. It is the most important and influential city in the North and perhaps in all Faerûn.
Faerun History makes videos for DM’s and Players who wish to know more about the Forgotten Realms Lore. Each week we tackle a subject that is meant to expand your connection to the realms and make it feel more alive.
This story is read to us by a fellow Realms Historian, Michael from the channel RoleReviewsal. - Check it out here:

Just a little correction, the masked lord Shilarn was a 'girl', not a bald guy with glasses. :) Baeron and Shilarn were even married and produced a daughter who became an open lord of waterdeep.

Another great and important video. I would really love to see one about the History of Karatur orZakhara and their relationship with Faerun.

Thank you for these videos. My setting is in forgotten realms and I enjoy this style much more than reading the wiki

Well, I myself ain't to versed in Forgotten Realms lore. But your Videos seem largely focused on Locations within the Realms and their History where MrRhexx has been doing videos based on creatures/planes. Maybe a Collab on the Underdark where you go into the history of some of the locations/entrances and MrRhexx scripts something about the drow/ or a creature/god connected to the underdark.
I was actually really disappointed that there don't seem to be a lot of channels dedicated to forgotten realms lore. Seems unexpectedly Niche considering 5th Editions apparent success. Hoping subscriber numbers aren't to big of a deal considering that, but I get the concern.
In all honesty I think your videos would benefit a lot from better mic quality. Voices and Script seem fine but I found myself cringing a bit simply because of the mic. I know mics are expensive and probably something your aware of, but I think you could gain a lot of new followers by improving the voice quality.
Anyway my two cents. Love the videos, hope you make more and will Continue to adapt my Forgotten Realms Lore with what you have to offer. Thank you.

Hey Faerun History. I'm a very recent addition to your channel, but sound engineering is a major hobby of mine and I would be glad to help you guys out. I'm only a senior is High-school, but I've had four years of mixing experience through various jobs and investing in equipment myself. If there is anything I can do to assist please let me know.

Excellent job. Could you go further back and talk about the coming of Halaster and his discovery of Undermountain in one of your future videos? Keep them coming.

I enjoyed this. I am enjoying the in character delivery of the narration. I am a fan of such things and if you need an extra voice I have the time and mic. I await patiently the less covered places, like Halruaa, or the Bloodstone Lands. Keep up the good work.

I may be able to help on the audio editing. My friend who keeps me sane is pointing out I am dangerously close to over-committing(what with my own show, appearing on two podcasts, self publishing a RPG boook, and starting a new job monday), but I have followed the facebook group and I will try and make some time. I really do like the stuff you're doing. My biggest advice is don't push yourself to make content faster than you can comfortably do. You should always keep it fun for you.
