Yee haw jack pot. Im searching more small towns and see if i find more. 😂😂 I also have another i bought way back in 2009 its now worth $400 as well. Very much appreciated! 😊 Totally agree with you that there are some frustrations with these kits, the D-Style while much smaller and basic, was not without some moments of frustration. For me, I found getting the polycaps needed an unnatural amount of force to push them on (force that for any other kit you would be very concerned to cause a breakage). Very nice time-lapse video and next year, I'll hopefully join you again and actually do a proper 1/72 scale! Seeing your completed one has inspired me for sure.

    • @riverstyxmedia
      @riverstyxmedia  2 года назад +1

      I built the White Glint as well and to be honest I didn't think it was too bad. Both kits can be frustrating especially considering both had very fine parts that could easily go missing if you aren't careful and are in an obvious spot that are noticeable on the kit. However I felt challenged while building each kit, so I would recommend it if you like a challenge that will test you. But if you are looking for something poseable, neither will fit that category, both are basically show pieces. The Aaliyah will stand on its own, as seen at the end of the video. So, do I recommend it? Yes if you want a challenge, but don't take my word as gospel as everyone is different

    • @edwardtan1354
      @edwardtan1354 2 года назад +1

      most kotobukiya kits are not beginner friendly... thats my hot take on their kits they can be good if executed correctly but they will test all the skills you know as a builder if transitioning from gunpla. if you come from military plastic model I think you should be fine
      as some kits don't fit correctly IIRC my gunmetal aaliyah have booster parts lose because the moulding on the core where the boosters slots in (cause friction fit is a thing) are too big.
      White Glint VoB is fine until mine broke from the stand it was on basically the peg on the stand simply sheared off my nineball seraph was a nightmare sanding with a rotary tool would be a must for easier building
