it's too bad you couldn't find that first appearance... it was for Grindhouse and I remember that one being so interesting they went super long and pulled the second guest.
I would be called a nerd, surely, but I've never understood why one could call Tarantino a nerd. He's intelligent and enthusiastic. I don't see why that should be derided. But what do I know.
Omg this was so amazing 🤩 TYSM ! I love hearing him talk about how normal it is to watch the movies you love over and over … I have watched every single one of his movies many MANY times because I KNOW I’m going to love it …Kill Bill, Pulp fiction and Reservoir dogs I can recite verbatim while watching at this point in my life lol 😆 I’d LOVE to hang with this dude, he’s probably the only person on earth that could really understand my speed lol and just laugh and talk for days ! ❤️
Now I get it. Quentin said he would only direct 10 movies. But he didn't say anything about TV. How fucking cool would that be to have a tv show directed and written by Quentin Tarantino?
It's unbelievable to me how underappreciated Craig is. He is the best modern talk show host, maybe even the best ever. I don't get the hype around Letterman, maybe because I don't know his earlier days. Craig made the show really his own, was funny, and still respected the format. That's hard to pull off because most hosts don't even get that kind of creative freedom.
To be short about it, when Carson was king, Parr before him, Merv Griffon, etc., they did silly skits, held animals, told jokes...but the host was part of the contrived comedy...Carson told the jokes, made faces with the animals, the humor included him, dictated by him. Letterman realized early on, that wasn't him. He was the "no talented fool" who championed the everyman. From the beginning, he complained about his bosses, he had people on doing silly things that he was not part of (stupid pet tricks, Larry 'Bud' Melman), he exploited his own hopelessness as a human. And people, particularly with that big city kind of melancholy that NY or Chicago can give you, latched on. There is absolutely no chance that there is a Craig Ferguson or Conan O'Brien without Letterman. And there is no guarantee. We've just watched James Corden completely massacre a design that Graham Norton has succeeded at for decades...no, Letterman changed late night, big time.
14:14 speaks of the charisma and warm nature of Craig. How many hosts would've just left Quentin to do his little plane improv bit solo? Craig jumps straight in that bitch with him! loved that moment.
The best thing about Tarantino is he does what he wants and doesn't compromise for anybody, he is a fucking alpha, and sets his own path without diluting his vision
There are a few movies that I watch regularly that i can immediately restart watching once the credits hit. Django: Unchained is definitely one of them. The others (although not Tarantino movies) include Scarface, Goodfellas, Blow, and Blood In Blood Out. Those are just off the top of my head right now.
28:17 - "Don't you hate that? Uncomfortable silences. Why do we feel it's necessary to yak about bullshit in order to be comfortable? That's when you know you found somebody really special. When you can just shut the fuck up for a minute and comfortably share a silence." Mia Wallace, 1994.
I am really enjoying these compilations. I do have a question. How were you able to find them all and how you were able to determine this one was 4/5 and not 4/4? Is there a reference somewhere? Thanks for all the effort you have put in.
Glad you do! 1. I find them all one youtube and put them together. 2. IMDB/Guest profile/self/craig ferguson the late late show (thats how I know it's 4/5 and not 4/4)
Mr. TJF, I just want to say how much I appreciate the work you've put into this. I've lost track of how many dozens (likely starting to be hundreds) of hours of your Craig Ferguson sets I've watched. He is the absolute best, and so are you...
right around 18:40 when they were joking about taking out nazis, and craig heard something from the audience - i thought it was a riff, but then he had a look on his face that was so different. was he really having to react to someone in the crowd doing some "rah rah" for nazis? cause right at the end before he turned back to the guest, i saw a look on his face that was so different than anything i'd seen before. i know he's an old punk dude from way back; i'd have loved to see him pounce up from behind the desk and address some nazi guy in the crowd.
It was most likely one of the two (out of 12 worldwide) airworthy B-17s that were 'based' in California at the time, the Memphis Belle or the FuddyDuddy, or one other that was in Arizona. The private collectors/groups that own them tend not to fly them very far. There are currently only 2 airworthy B-29s in existence and I can state with a high degree of confidence that there was NO WAY they would let any civilian take the controls even for a second. The B-17 on the other hand was/is a very stable and forgiving piece of equipment. My grandfather flew both of them. Cheers.
The thing Quinton said about "if its tuesday i have to include a bit of tuesday in it" reminded I forget who I heard this from but a musician was talking about how even the air in the room of the day can effect the sound of a recording. I forget the whole reasoning but its just like man some people are just made for these things.
I never noticed Quentin's chin is huge. He should make a 1920's gangster or Dick Tracy movie so he can put that chin to good use. He could also drag Bruce Campbell into it and have a chin off.
min 13:25 "buzz the Hollywood sign in a B52" XD ....B-25 Quentin....you flew in a B-25. A B52s jet trail ALONE would rip the fu%$in Hollywood sign off its moorings.
46:46 Craig should have asked Quentin if he had ever cracked a coconut before (and im sure Quentin has not) then Craig should say well inline with our last topic about new experiences... do you wanna try? and insist that his table is hard as shit, smash that coconut on it!!! maybe even Craig shows him first with one
The main trend i'm seeing as these interviews progress is, and I won't be a hypocrite as I'm kind of trending that way too, is he trying to keep up with orson welles?
Oh my God how did that woman say that to that director Quentin Tarantino how did he let her live if this was a movie this would have ended very differently

It's too bad indeed. It sounds like something to have.
Seems mean to bump
a guest
The guest understood being bumped for Tarantino,
Was it Matt Damon?

I sincerely appreciate The JayLeno Fly for putting these on RUclips. It has provided so much entertainment on the toilet.
Quentin comes over as a really genuine sweet nerd who absolutely loves what he’s doing.
Godammit Craig how the hell did you get Tarantino to share such wonderful stories I’ve never heard before in hundreds of other interviews?
Tarantino suffers no fools and he knows Craig is no fool hence he's actually enjoying to him.
Oh, man, Craig is such a good interviewer... this is such a good example of that.
Pulp Fiction is one of the coolest films ever.
My favorite out of ALL FILM!!!
@@paulfields3990 MINE TOOO 🍔
Agreed!
they have such a good chemistry, could watch the whole day :D
It's just a bummer that Norm Macdonald isn't there.
He even makes Tarantino look good in an interview. they are both masters of their craft
Joe3:16 i
Tarantino is one of my favorite talk show guests, especially with Craig.
CapitalJ2 it's great right?!
He's such a nerd and i love him for that.

@@highstimulation2497 He's a nerd because he's rather abrasive socially

Yes!! Thank you man, you're the best :)
and thanks for the last clip.
You're too! :D
Glad you liked it:D
Now I get it. Quentin said he would only direct 10 movies. But he didn't say anything about TV. How fucking cool would that be to have a tv show directed and written by Quentin Tarantino?
It would be a tasty burger indeed….a royal with cheese even !
Another Twin Peaks. Would have been legendary!
daamn hell yeah!

One of the better awkward pauses - was hoping they would add subtext
This man is a genius, I love all of his movies
Thank you for posting this. They are really funny together.
My favorite director and favorite late night host. So great !!!
The best thing about Tarantino is he does what he wants and doesn't compromise for anybody, he is a fucking alpha, and sets his own path without diluting his vision
What's this "alpha" cringe? The correct term is "auteur".

Everyone knows about the feet, QT. Its ok. No one is judging.
Ha-ha...
so cool! thank you very much for this! exploring Criag for the first time and this is the best
He has a great memory like Eddie Murphy. Remembering every person, film and tells stories very precisely when being ambitious about it.
i would like to rub his belly to

Motherfucking Tarantino son! Fucking genius!
They should just tear down Hollywood sign and put his statue in that spot.
Shaved Soufflé you've got no dislikes son. Bang on!!!
I hope this guy makes more movies.
he did!
The Django appearance during Christmas is so fuckin cozy. Chilling with the T ☺️

Love the idea behind this channel, Thankyou for your work. Subscribed
great HIGH energy didn't expect anything less cool guy
58:30 - Tarantino laughing at Michael being a racist will always crack me up, especially while promoting Django Unchained.
The joke on Leno/Conan crushed me
Tarantino’s joke after was much more menacing 😅 “oh, I have done bad things, but they haven’t caught me yet” 😅😅😅 @weinstein @metoo
I could listen to him talk for like a month.
Don't miss the last minute of the video, absolute last minute.

Your happy trail burst into flames.....
Was that Lea Seydoux?
Love Craig! All respect to QT, but there were no B-52s during WW2. Sorry!
ruclips.net/video/7t1P-ayecww/видео.html
He meant a B-17 not a B-52.
Does anyone have any idea what jazz song this is at 28:51?: ruclips.net/video/DQWfNYcYxfA/видео.html
I've been trying to figure it out for a week now.
Man, Quentin Tarantino can talk and laugh.
B-52s are not from WWII. I'm guessing it's a B-17 or B-29
I don't know man, I remember seeing those jet engine Stratofortress fly above Germany and bomb it into submission in 1944.
right around 18:40 when they were joking about taking out nazis, and craig heard something from the audience - i thought it was a riff, but then he had a look on his face that was so different. was he really having to react to someone in the crowd doing some "rah rah" for nazis? cause right at the end before he turned back to the guest, i saw a look on his face that was so different than anything i'd seen before. i know he's an old punk dude from way back; i'd have loved to see him pounce up from behind the desk and address some nazi guy in the crowd.
The Kidnapping of Sara Quarentino. Quentin is like the Coen brothers. They make great movies.
Love his movies!
"It's just pizza with a hole cut in the middle and your wang sticking through."
That's too fucking hilarious!
If this guy isnt on something to calm him down then he should, hes super hyper
I like how Craig doesn't give into his usual shenanigans and keeps on the topic, "given the stick" got almost no chuckle
A B-52 from world war 2 would have caused the Germans a scare or two, since it was almost twice the speed of any aircraft the Germans had!
Pretty sure he meant B-25
No I get it...I was just thinking of an ME 262 being passed at high speed by a bomber and the jaw dropping@@Tommeadowcroft
Tarantino said he wouldn't be bad at a late night show... Give us the podcast brother!
Loving these video's, even the Russell Brand one, thanks man
YES!
Quentin seems more comfortable on phone interviews
i would like to see craig in a quentin movie...
B-52's came after WWII. He was most likely referring to a B-17.
Yeah I had the same thoughts. And it was a bit annoying because he repeated it so many times (could also been a B29 though)
It was most likely one of the two (out of 12 worldwide) airworthy B-17s that were 'based' in California at the time, the Memphis Belle or the FuddyDuddy, or one other that was in Arizona. Yes b-52s started in the late 70's
34:50 "Hey little fella..." He is so creepy, but the same time right about that scene!
Legend
Craig jumped on Quentin quick when he used "Unga Bunga" as an example of an African town hahaha
Who would know that with all the flirtatious interviews with beautiful starlets Craig has done, I’d like these with Quentin better.
59:54 - "...M, and some others." I don't get it. HELP! :(
it's "him and some others", meaning that his the only one that matter i think
At 32:30 Craig literally predicted the "Violent night" movie !!!
haha, his first appearance, quentin was so sweaty shiny and gacked out. (i've only watched the first so far)
WHOAH!!!! Who's the female in the outro!?!?
Lea Seydoux, beautiful young woman!
More Women right?! She's gorgeous

quentin with a kids movie , whoa , the darkest hour :)
Wondering what Tarantino's life would be like considering he said he includes feelings from his life in the movies
I also saw Saving Grace 2 & 3. Got to say the sequels were never as good as the original.
Yeah man... the nowaday's hosts are good and all, but there is no other that good as was Craig Fegurson
29:00 behind the green door
A Tarantino kids movie would have to be a live action remake of Watership Down. Lots of blood and everybody dies by the end.
If cocaine made movies...
I still hate it when I say watch this clip and we can’t see it!
Quentin looks like a facial experiment gone wrong.
Lucy Towey He's not a rapist accomplice wtf did you get that info

I watched The Matrix 14 or 15 times, as an adult. My Cousin Vinny about 10 times.
If He can’t show the clip because of rights by Hollywood or whatever/whoever, why does he even say watch this clip?!!!
Tarantino is a modern genious
that was good.
That's called contour flying, Quentin.
9:20 that didn't age well
Who else does the awkward pause with them? 🤔
Craig is quick!
