Buck Master "PB-12" Push Button 12g Shotgun

  • There's so many Turkish shotguns out now from the Adler, Bushmeister, Dickinson, Pardus, Sulun Arms but now the Buck Master is here which is a manually operated 12 gauge shotgun that allows fast followup shots through the push of a button to manually cycle the bolt forward prior to firing each time. I had trouble loading the 5th shell into the magazine tube and I didn't like that the pic rails are synthetic. Overall though it allows great fast and accurate followup shots ideal for control feral pigs and other feral pests.

    Gas or inertial operation?
    Whats the strip-down like with whatever linkage from the button under the handguard to the action? Is that why it comes 'pre-assembled' in the long case compared to ease of taking off the barrel on the other? 🤔
    And how close are your fingers to the barrel pushing the button when youve run a few shells into heating the tube up?
    Press-weight of the button - a light fingertap or need to deathgrip the forearm? Will leaning the forearm against a post pop the action closed by its own weight?

Was sent off to be fixed under warranty once we got it back put one box through and the bolt release button started getting to hard to push down. After 2 more boxes of shells the rib came off again and the right side button was a joke, returned the gun for credit. The idea of this gun is awesome… if it was made by a better manufacturer. Awesome review Ozzie as always. Gee it just highlights how emotionally idiotic our laws are. I reckon my old Mossberg 500 and Winchester 1200 pump action shotguns would shoot slower than this one. This shotgun would be incredible fun and great use on rabbits and foxes plus pigs and deer (within range) as a do all gun. Personally I am waiting on the Templeton 2000 push button (with the release action button positioned in the 'thumb safety' position of rifles like the old Ruger M77 and A Bolt 11 rifles) which is due to arrive in the next couple of weeks. As always thanks for sharing and sorry to hear how RUclips has been mucking you around. Stay well!

      I agree, new tech is advanced to the level and beyond that of simple pump actions and this push button action is dare i say almost semi-auto fast, so why not allow pump actions with 5 shots again. I resisted the lever action and straight pull and the thumb lever shotguns but these push button types are really tempting me for a new shotgun, the pistol grip is good on this because the button is on the foregrip, I doubt will see a "tactical" pistol grip templeton, but that doesn't bother me as a person should be able to use the templeton one handed if needed. I think that one will be on my new years resolutions list "buy new shotty" haha

    I have a question for you-I have a Adler b230 tactical 12 gauge shotgun that’s a straight pull,I want to trade it in for a Templeton arms T-2000 button release 12 gauge shotgun. Do I need to get a new PTA because the Templeton is not a straight pull or are they both classified the same action but just different mechanism to activate the bolt ? I’ve spoken to my local gun shop dealer and he said I shouldn’t have to get a PTA because both shotguns are bolt action but they just have differing mechanisms to reset the bolt,but when I spoke to a bigger gun shop in Toowoomba they said I would need to put in a PTA because it’s not a straight pull shotgun ? Are these guys just trying to make more money out of me or what ? I couldn’t find anything on the Queensland police website about firearms and categories regarding these two types of shotguns.

    • @ckg1776
      @ckg1776 8 месяцев назад

      Your adler is a bolt action. The Templeton is a button release. So you can’t do a like for like swap because they have different actions. So you will need to submit a new pta. Read the weapon categories regulation 1997.

    • @IDGAF56852

      @@ckg1776 yeah I already have submitted a pta, should be getting it by the end of the month. And ive already traded the adler in,was glad to see it go,worst shotgun ive ever bought and used.

      @IDGAF56852 8 месяцев назад

      @@ckg1776 there was no such thing as a button release back in the 1990s and there of course is nothing in the regulations so its classed as a cat A . The straight pull,the lever release and the button release are all bolt action and its only the mechanism thats different,this is what weapons licensing said to me over the phone here in Queensland, so you tell me what's the go then bloke-i dont think weapons licensing even knows what they are talking about,so I put the pta in because its a cat A firearm ! You happy now.

    • @ckg1776
      @ckg1776 8 месяцев назад

      @@IDGAF56852 It is in the regulations because any shotgun that is not a semi auto, full auto, pump or a lever action is cat A in QLD. The lever release is actually a cat B because it is a lever. Whilst not a traditional throw lever it is still classed as a lever so it is cat B. The button release is neither a bolt or a lever but is an “other” on the dropdown box when you do the PTA. The people at weapons licensing are mostly useless in regards to the law. The good thing about the button release being cat A is you can extend the magazine tube as cat A has unlimited magazine size. I have seen a 10 shot getting around.
