@@Alucard-A-La-Carte And it's not just positive, it's smart and cool😊 So much "clean" entertainment comes across like it was originally filled with profanity and violence and other naughtiness--and then it was gutted by censors. But it is he who speaks in an entire word salad bar, whom carries... the biggest heart.
+Cobalt Kirikizan that heavy lourde had quite an effect on him, he lost the ability to speak normally outside of the telephone, but it seems to have caused him to gain telekinetic powers
Fan Theory: Homsar is intoxicated by some kind of Void Juice or other hyperpowerful mind affecting substance in this phone call, because in "2 emails" (sbemail71) and SBCG4AP episode 1 Homsar is proven to talk illegibly even on the phone and most of his warblings have a deeper meaning (that can be decoded by the pylon in SBCG4AP Episode 2) so I think Homsar has simply been downgraded to a mortal mind temporarily.

The Poopsmith's message is horribly sad as a whole, of course, but the part that absolutely HITS MY HEART LIKE A TRUCK is the last little bit: "It was nice talking to you. It was nice... talking." 😭
Just in case you didn't listen to the whole thing let me summarize what's been going on with everyone from 2009-2016 *Strong Bad* decided to make a sequel to his numba-one jam "Everybody to the Limit" called "Let's Fhqwhgads Again" (even though everyone told him it was an awful idea) all while continuing to deliver masterfully minded prank calls to Marzipan; including creating a new girl character that looks like a coat rack *Homestar Runner* was doomed to wallow in the shadow of fads that quickly died out while claiming they'd be around forever, and eventually he became so last year he reverted back to 1999 (all while getting it on with Marzipan's sister) *Coach Z*'s creepiness finally landed him in prison (hey, three square meals a day), where he would be tried as a minor with Bubs as his lawyer. He also lost his habit of mispronouncing words, but not his creepy crush on Marzipan *Bubs* tried to come up with a new catch-phrase while defending Coach Z in court. He realized Coach Z was 100% guilty and he shouldn't have been a lawyer, since he switched John Grisham novels with Michael Crichton, and therefore his defense centered around DINOSAURS. He also opened a new "organic" section of the Concession Stand; specializing in "pertaining to the illegal selling and trade of human organs" *Strong Sad* tried to make a new name for himself until a jodhpurs incident landed him in jail. He also realized he had become less depressed over the years and found happiness in reconnecting with his depressing nature *Homsar* finally realized he could speak coherently over the phone *Kevin* asked Marzipan to help him find his Trivia Pursuit 80's edition *Visor Robot* tried to convince Marzipan to confirm how terrible an idea Strong Bad's sequel was *The Poopsmith* openly questioned his choices in life; about his vow of silence and his job at smithing poop (all while sounding like John Linnell) *The King of Town* finally discovered that section in the Old Characters Page where Marizpan was his daughter. Also, we might need a new KOT. *sloshy* broke up again and pawned their instruments, so now they do their tracks over the phone *Puppet Homestar* realized he was sassier than the real Homestar, and his buzzer was spun *Limozeen* tried to make a sequel to their hit song "Nite Mamas" called "Let's Night Mamas Again" *Tucker Donaldson* chastised the Cool Tapes for causing a riot on campus. *Humidbot* tried to expand his personality beyond saying his name AND FINALLY *Marzipan* let her answering machine build-up for years so she could finally get back at Strong Bad :3
+pokemonmanic3595 My god, so much has happened, the KOT is...probably most definitely dead, Homestar is dated, (though not as much as strong bad with his atari 2600 knockoff), Coach Z is in prison, the poopsmith probably talks more and bubs...hasn't really changed that much
If this is a joke of a "goodbye forever", then it came a bit too late. I grew up, got engaged, got a car, dropped out of school, had two jobs and now have a five year old son. Top comment (at time of typing this) said it very well, but I feel it needs repeating. HSR shaped my childhood. This is what we would go to in middle school when we were supposed to be using computers to be working. Pre-youtube internet was the best internet. You had to know where to go to find the good stuff, and the good stuff was this. Trogdor and the other classics STILL play parts in my life today. I would be first in line to watch new cartoons that came out. You inspired animators like Arin Egoraptor Hansen to make things, and even the jokes therein, and put permanent marks in the sense of humor that the internet has today, and with the most important generation: the ones who cherished the internet instead of taking it for granted. You go, guys. I don't know what you're going to be making after this, but I hope I don't miss it.
+ragepoweredgamer Couldn't have said it better. I've just written a comment surrounding this, even I was getting the feeling of this being a goodbye cartoon before I even read any comments.
JadenJFilms Yeah... The more I heard, the more it sounded like a farewell. However, being on April first, that would be a hell of a perfect chance for them to get us. They rarely upload, making this very believable.
Emanuel Tejeiro is some guy who claims to be the original creator of many things: First it was the website, then when he realized that HR didn't start as a website he claimed to be the creator of Strong Bad, and then for some reason now he just claims that he's the owner of the entire HR body of work and that The Brothers Chaps are pedophile racists just because the Thnikka in Thnikkaman sounds like the n word. TL;DR: Ignore him and whatever he responds to this reply. Something's wrong with him.
This was the best birthday present I could've asked for! (a week early). I love how the Brothers Chaps made fun of everything from the weird inconsistencies between messages on the answering machine from real life to the way the characters have changed over the years. I hope they keep updating, but if not, I think the quantity of things they've made already is sufficient to keep their legacy alive. I love this series. It has given me more laughter than almost any other over the years.
I feel like I learned about the cast of characters I've come to know and love from that Answering Machine. And that I learned a lot about myself in the process. And that I may or may not be crying now.
In the words of Strong Bad, holy crap! This entire half-hour of Marzipan's Answering Machine was one of the funniest things I've heard from The Brothers Chaps in a very long time! I was dying laughing the whole time! I'm so happy they have that magic touch after all these years. I also can't believe some of the stuff they mentioned. I mean, Litigation Jackson?! I usually remember everything this website has done, but that is something I haven't heard in the longest time! I also can't believe they referred to the old fact that The King of Town used to be Marzipan's father. Never thought they'd ever touch that little factoid.
Ten bucks Marzipan's sister is just Marzipan Considering in "Halloween Potion-Ma-Jig" he thought he was dating twins, how hard is it for him to cheat on Marzipan....with herself?
Why are people considering this a "send-off" or a "goodbye"? Nothing about it gives me the impression that Homestar as we know it will come to an end. It's just telling us what everybody (everybody) has been up to for the past 7 years.
aye, kind of funny, but it kind of was, they aren't really doing anything except for the holidays, and events. hey... kinda like TF2. heh... *internal crying*
The punchline was so...freakin'...worth it. I loved this toon. Keep on truckin', Brothers Chaps! This was so shocking to see in my inbox - and given this is WAY past your normal video length, I thought maybe it was part of a joke, that it would last maybe 5 minutes, and then black space after that to constitute the joke - but no, every minute was solid gold, worth the listen, and worth the wait. This just might be my new favorite Toon of yours - but granted that's a LOT of stiff competition, and I don't want to say that too soon. Nonetheless, it's certainly earned a spot as in my group of favorite things from you guys ever, so! I truly hope this is not the end, but rather, a new beginning. Homestaw Wunnuh Fowevuh! Free Coach Z - and the baby seals!
Well, Homsar may have that ability on the phone all the time. But the Poopsmith was going through a faith crisis. Of all the denizens of Free Country, USA, I trust his self-judgment. He is the epitome of the examined mind. He'll be fine.
I really feel bad for Homsar. I mean the dude can’t speak normally off the phone and he clearly has a lot to say judging from how much he talks. I mean he is basically completely unable to have a meaningful interaction and everyone thinks he’s some weirdo because of it. Am I looking to deep into this? Yes, yes I am.
I dunno whether this is a coming back, a send off, or just a random video from you guys that's 31 minutes long just because, but either way... Thank you, Brother Chaps, and good luck with whatev's you do!
Awww, everyone but Strong Bad and Homestar sees Marzipan as a safe person to talk to about their personal problems! No wonder Marzipan cares so deeply about her friends and what she stands for.
Where is everyone getting the idea that this is the end of Homestar Runner? It just seemed like a bit of silly fun making light of the fact that the site only gets sporadic updates lately and hasn't had too much action the past seven years. Nothing in this video screams "No more Homestar Runner!" like everyone seems to think.
SO MUCH HAPPENED! I CAN'T COMPREHEND! AAAAH!!!So, Coach Z is in prison for... something (#freecoachz), Homsar speaks properly over the phone, the Poopsmith is having a midlife crisis, Homestar keeps backing the wrong horse, Strong Sad is even more pathetic than usual, Strong Bad getting REAL desperate for his prank calls, Limozeen is making another freaking comeback, SLOSHY still sucks, and we got an address to the "Is Marzipan really the King of Town's daughter"?! This was wonderful. I'm so glad to see/hear these characters again, I missed them. But I have one question...What happened to Senor Cardgage?
'I'm supposed to be defending him in the courtroom right now, but I snuck out to read some John Grisham novels to give me an edge. Only I mixed him up with Michael Crichton, and NOW my defense is based around DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINOSAURS!'
The way the site works, you still need flash just to navigate to where the video is. So hopefully they aren't planning to move away from the flash completely. Though Homestar is still a way better runner than that guy!
Thank you brothers Chaps!!!!!! I can't get enough of the homestarrunner gang! Makes me so happy every time a new toon comes up! I'm loving two more eggs too! You guys are amazing! Forever fan since 2002!
I have neither the time nor the number of words to express how much I really enjoyed this cartoon! I've been hoping for a good April Fool's Day cartoon, plus I was wondering when a 17th answering machine would happen. This is only a glimpse of 7 years' amazingness. Glad that Two More Eggs could tide me over, but welcome home, Brothers Chaps. Welcome home.
Alright, you've brought back Strong Bad email, the Halloween toons, and Marzipan's Answering Machine. Your next thing to bring back: TEEN GIRL SQUAD, get to it!
the fact that all these characters wanted immediate responses even though she said she would be out and about for seven years is the kicker
But no, seriously. Can you please return that Trivia Pursuit game as soon as possible? Thank you.
@@TequilaMockingBird91 So that trivial pursuit, was that for Sloshy or something?
I'm actually kind of glad they finally acknowledged that abandoned plot point about Marzipan being the King of Town's daughter.

+Bansho Hey! Thanks for that!
Bansho My god
Thanks lot much
youre a hero among men 🙏🏻
Oh thank god
There was something bittersweet, and yet absolutely hilarious about this.
Nostalgia hit me like a train.
The Poopsmith's message is horribly sad as a whole, of course, but the part that absolutely HITS MY HEART LIKE A TRUCK is the last little bit: "It was nice talking to you. It was nice... talking." 😭
It's been said a lot, but I'll say it as well... it's so good to have these characters back. They're genuine friends to all of us.
"The Visor Robot" is now its official name. Ascended Fanon!
This was a lot more personal than I thought it would be.
Yes, new Homsar material to quote. My day is complete!
Just in case you didn't listen to the whole thing let me summarize what's been going on with everyone from 2009-2016
*Strong Bad* decided to make a sequel to his numba-one jam "Everybody to the Limit" called "Let's Fhqwhgads Again" (even though everyone told him it was an awful idea) all while continuing to deliver masterfully minded prank calls to Marzipan; including creating a new girl character that looks like a coat rack
*Homestar Runner* was doomed to wallow in the shadow of fads that quickly died out while claiming they'd be around forever, and eventually he became so last year he reverted back to 1999 (all while getting it on with Marzipan's sister)
*Coach Z*'s creepiness finally landed him in prison (hey, three square meals a day), where he would be tried as a minor with Bubs as his lawyer. He also lost his habit of mispronouncing words, but not his creepy crush on Marzipan
*Bubs* tried to come up with a new catch-phrase while defending Coach Z in court. He realized Coach Z was 100% guilty and he shouldn't have been a lawyer, since he switched John Grisham novels with Michael Crichton, and therefore his defense centered around DINOSAURS. He also opened a new "organic" section of the Concession Stand; specializing in "pertaining to the illegal selling and trade of human organs"
*Strong Sad* tried to make a new name for himself until a jodhpurs incident landed him in jail. He also realized he had become less depressed over the years and found happiness in reconnecting with his depressing nature
*Homsar* finally realized he could speak coherently over the phone
*Kevin* asked Marzipan to help him find his Trivia Pursuit 80's edition
*Visor Robot* tried to convince Marzipan to confirm how terrible an idea Strong Bad's sequel was
*The Poopsmith* openly questioned his choices in life; about his vow of silence and his job at smithing poop (all while sounding like John Linnell)
*The King of Town* finally discovered that section in the Old Characters Page where Marizpan was his daughter. Also, we might need a new KOT.
*sloshy* broke up again and pawned their instruments, so now they do their tracks over the phone
*Puppet Homestar* realized he was sassier than the real Homestar, and his buzzer was spun
*Limozeen* tried to make a sequel to their hit song "Nite Mamas" called "Let's Night Mamas Again"
*Tucker Donaldson* chastised the Cool Tapes for causing a riot on campus.
*Humidbot* tried to expand his personality beyond saying his name
AND FINALLY
*Marzipan* let her answering machine build-up for years so she could finally get back at Strong Bad :3
Fuh horekreen gads!
+pokemonmanic3595 My god, so much has happened, the KOT is...probably most definitely dead, Homestar is dated, (though not as much as strong bad with his atari 2600 knockoff), Coach Z is in prison, the poopsmith probably talks more and bubs...hasn't really changed that much
Oh, he's not pretending.
The Poopsmith doesn't just sound like John Linnell, he _is_ played by him. He also played the Poopsmith in sbemail200.
pokemonmanic3595 I guess the king of town dying thing was only him being senile
Yeah, Good Jorb, guys.
calm down, they're just busy with Two More Eggs with Disney XD, literally the same style of humor, minus the cold ones
ALonelyWeeaboo Just gushing a bit because of the shift away from sites like this because of the universal nature of RUclips.
Well, I think we're all caught up now. And it only took 30 minutes of character development!
+Emanuel Tejeiro shut up and go away
+Adrian Fragaso Don't feed the troll...
+Adrian Fragaso Don't feed the troll... (double-post...)
Okay, I know it's been a whole year, but what did Emanuel say?
+The Gentlesaurian Velocidapper
nothing quite gives a deeper interpersonal perspective than drinking toilet melonade
***** YOU TOO?!
I can't believe the "new" Marzipan's answering machine is eight years old now.
I woke up from deep sleep at 2AM to listen to this. Absolutely worth it.
I reflexively moved my mouse over the answering machine button and was about to click it to go to the next message.
It is.
Five bucks says Marzipan's "sister" is a mop Homestar met in a closet.
Ten bucks Marzipan's sister is just Marzipan
Considering in "Halloween Potion-Ma-Jig" he thought he was dating twins, how hard is it for him to cheat on Marzipan....with herself?
"Awww, there there Homestar. It's not so bad - everybody thinks I'm a broom."
"You're not a broom?!"
I have never laughed so hard at Coach Z in my entire life. HOLY CRAP.
Man when I heard Homestar mentions the OUYA I remembered I still had mine, I couldn’t help but look at it with a tear in my eye
Homestar Runner is hyped for Google Stadia, isn't he.
Sharpied onto the back of the bus seat of HISTORY!!!
and stadia's shutting down now, how prophetic.
Hi, 2021 here. This has become my new sleep aid. And I'm continually astonished how current you guys are able to stay after all this time.
@@Mundwasser Ahhh, the joys of youth, we take them for granted :(
IT'S HERE! IT'S HERE! IT'S FINA-LULLY HERE!
8:30
Homsar talking normally made me ABSOLUTELY lose my marbles.
I forgot I was subscribed to this channel. The nostalgia is strong.
...Wow, you guys practically made a feature-length film here.
Was expecting there to be an April Fool's Day update, and was not disappointed. That half hour just flew by. We love you, Mike and Matt Chapman!
Free Coach Z - and the baby seals!
poor kevin just wants his Trivial Pursuit 80s edition back lol
Good things come to people who stay up until 4AM in the morning.
I thought it was mostly extreme fatigue and reduced gaming skills. Must be doin it wrong.
(reads comment as he's up at 2AM in the morning)
I'm 10 minutes in and this is the greatest thing that has ever. EVER. happened in history
14:27 "it was nice.. talking"
holy shit
Marzipan got her whistle wet
I felt empty
Oh damn, Homsar trying to be articulate is kind of heartbreaking.
+alazybastard It was a strange separation From the Incoherent nonsense That usually comes out is what it is
For some reason when he says “you know the kind of garbage I spout” I can’t help but feel sad for Homsar.
he was fully articulate in Strong-Badia the free
It's a real "Flowers for Algernon" situation is what it is.
Did anyone else feel really REALLY bad for Homsar and Poopsmith?
Well, Homsar may have that ability on the phone all the time. But the Poopsmith was going through a faith crisis. Of all the denizens of Free Country, USA, I trust his self-judgment. He is the epitome of the examined mind. He'll be fine.
...but nobody feels at all bad for Coach Z, as per usual.
His sketchy past has finally come back to haunt him.
@@khaibutton I feel like a piece of moonberry pie.
@@nintenboi7482 I'm a whirlpool of the other pancakes, Stevey.
This video literally made me cry. I hope life is treating you well. There will always be a special place in my heart for Homestarrunner and pals.
I dunno whether this is a coming back, a send off, or just a random video from you guys that's 31 minutes long just because, but either way...
Thank you, Brother Chaps, and good luck with whatev's you do!
+Gamerworm64 They said they will be posting videos occasionally. They posted one last april fools as well.
The actually good scam prank call from Strong Bad for once and the Ouya joke slayed me.
IT'S A APRIL-WEEN MIRACLE!
Holy crap! The brother's chaps uploaded something! Awesome :D
PhantomStrider howdy
Holy shit lmao
Time stands still for H*R
Time doesn't exist for H*R.
+Rushnerd Your account name rings true.
+Rusty Shacklefurd
Experience slips away.
They certainly left permanent waves in the wake of their moving pictures.
Awww, everyone but Strong Bad and Homestar sees Marzipan as a safe person to talk to about their personal problems! No wonder Marzipan cares so deeply about her friends and what she stands for.
At this vantage point in the future, I think Bubs' catchphrase is probably 'bees careful.'
I bet Homestar has an entire fleet of ships in Star Citizen.
+thetick532 We all thought it was going to be... Until we actually saw it
This is still hilarious.
5 years later and it’s still true
Printed onto the paper of HISTORY!
I lost it at Sharp Dean.
This was a half hour well spent.
+Emanuel Tejeiro ydyvjcdb,uoaxveyof egixyoexucgoh evxyelyguxe y:3:7_29:6"36:7)"3
"In my locker, you will find a folder called "exonerate'n evidence" who woulda thort!
Lol @ "This prank call has not been my finest, execution."
"Vince NapMaker from "The World Is My Butt...'" That made me laugh way harder than it should have.
So Strong Bad can type with boxing gloves, but he can't dial?
well to be fair phone buttons are smaller than keyboard keys but yeah i see what u mean
He didn't know Marzi's number.
Nah it is just too hard to animate.
I feel like he could at *least* dial the phone with one of his thumbs.
He can type with boxing gloves? How?
And now my defense is based around DINOSAAAUUURS!!!
*seinfeld theme cues*
Sharpdene remains one of the funniest things in the world to me.
It might be on'a count of her name
Was that John Linnell reprising his role as the Poopsmith?
+Scale Model Giant yes
He talks in this episode 13:00
He also provided the poopsmiths singing voice
+Scale Model Giant The Poopsmith he can talk?
Are you a cardboard cutout of Tenerence Love?
And Marzipan could rock...
Thought this was April Fools. Turns out to be the best thing in years.
Homsar speaking normally is, ironically one of the strangest things ever.
+Emanuel Tejeiro ...what the Hell are you even trying to say?
+Emanuel Tejeiro Remember when I pulled out that Lv99 Legendary Master Sword? I can't wait to use it...
+nerdbotmk2 True... 😢
Half an hour of pure entertainment.
+IDA Official He finally got to go to Chik-Fil-A.
***** Yeh, but just a voice. I wanna know where Cardgage went. He was weird, but I missed him.
+Robert Leu He told me Bethany finally came to fetch the Dodgers.
+IDA Official Conjunctivitis.
Ah yes, the regular putting llama head on people hours, the greatest time of day.
"Hey marzipron;
Hey marzipan!;
Hey sweetie!;
AaAAaAaAaAAa-;
Conjunctivitis!;
Hey marzipan..."
Homsar and Senor cardgage get me every time. 😂
SPOILER ALERT:
The Poopsmith was a member of They Might Be Giants all along!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Poor f-sack... RUclips vids on the website... It'll never be the same again! Damn you, Google Glass!
The more I listen to this, the more I realize it is one of the best things they've ever made.
'I'm supposed to be defending him in the courtroom right now, but I snuck out to read some John Grisham novels to give me an edge. Only I mixed him up with Michael Crichton, and NOW my defense is based around DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINOSAURS!'
You took this forgotten series and retired it in spectacular fashion. Well done.
i went to the website to watch this and the only clickable thing i could find led me here, i already miss the flash
I don't think it's a permanent switch, just that a 31 minute long flash toon would take too long to load all at once
good point
The way the site works, you still need flash just to navigate to where the video is. So hopefully they aren't planning to move away from the flash completely.
Though Homestar is still a way better runner than that guy!
Thank you brothers Chaps!!!!!! I can't get enough of the homestarrunner gang! Makes me so happy every time a new toon comes up! I'm loving two more eggs too! You guys are amazing! Forever fan since 2002!
Not! Enough! Exclamation! Points! Lol
That "Fhqwghads again" bit was BRILLIANT satire.
This was amazing. Thanks, brothers Chaps! I especially loved Homestar's continuous ill-advised bandwagon hopping.
"pound you into the salt...patch." XD They still got it.
literally the greatest animation/audio feature that has ever been produced in the 2010s. ever. please. oh my god
Now I feel really bad for Homsar.
Scupple indeed it’s why I like to think the telltale game are canon. It’s a less depressing explanation for homsar’s speaking pattern.
Don't fake the funk on a nasty dunk!
I drank the coffee and ate the Chipwich.
I'm not gonna lie to you, that's a healthy piece of real estate!
Well that made a dark thing turn Vantablack.
Words can not describe how perfect this is.
Life is beautiful again
Best april fools gift ever!
Everybody wants prosthetic llamas on their real heads.
Someone in this town is trying to burn the llamas down
Emanuel Tejeiro gg
Is that John Linnell as the Poopsmith again?
Yes
+miztahfrawg It sounded a bit like Louis CK at first.
+MrSkittlesManiac1 I kinda thought it was Marc Maron at first.
+miztahfrawg Linnell confirmed it on Twitter! twitter.com/tmbg/status/716155442783604737
I hear Jack Black XD
This was worth listening to again in full, 2018.
Alright, you've brought back Strong Bad email, the Halloween toons, and Marzipan's Answering Machine. Your next thing to bring back: TEEN GIRL SQUAD, get to it!
This... Was the greatest prank... Ever.
I've watched this so many times, I've got sections of it memorized already.
