- Boy this lens is WIDE and it really is NOT DISTORDED!!! It will blow your mind!
Laowa sent me a copy of their latest lens that has just been release and boy is it a killer!
I have tested it with a Leica M9 and a Leica M10 and the results are close to perfect, in terms of distorsion and chromatic aberration. This lens give a wide perspective with a maximum aperture of f4 for night shots and closer objects.
This Chinese lens company really is rocking some great glass and the optical quality you are getting for the price makes this a no brainer.

I used this lens on group shots as well
Oh? That’s cool
You’re killing me with that dust spot in your sensor!! Regardless thanks for the video.
I know… saw it afterwards 😵💫 but y’a, old video now 😁 glad it was helpful take care
I pulled the trigger and ordered this chunk of glass in the e-mount version. Yes I think the Laowa 15mm f2 is a better lens, but I like how compact this lens is for considering it will be on the camera less often. It shipped today.
Awesome Tim! Am sure you’ll enjoy it a lot! Take care
Thanks for the nice review! And well, there's the Voigtlander lenses, but you probably knew that.
Have you tried to adapt it to a fujifilm camera? I know that there are other options for fujifilm x-mount, but was curious about how it would perform.
Hello Peter, thanks for stopping by. I didn’t try actually but you would loose some of that wide angle (you’d lose the crop factor of 1.5x) so that would be that advantageous unfortunately. But might be worth the try.
Take care!
Ever heard of “f/8 and be there”? That is what photographers used before digital was around with really wide lenses to get good focus.
Hello John, yes I normally shoot between f8 and f11 for landscape 👍🏼
