hyena131--WOW! You're so right? Even though David Bowie did it so well. A 3 time Academy Award Winner thought it was funny. "hyena131" thought it rather "a bit of a daft schoolboy" comeback!! What would have made YOUR Cut sweetheart? PLEASE, don't answer me. It was GREAT all around. Next time don't type, SLEEP!
Bowie interviews were ALWAYS funny, he was super quick-witted... my fave interview moment: Interviewer: If I had brought you this new album (Young Americans) last year, and told you that *this* would be your next album, what would you have said? Bowie: I would've thrown both you and the album out of my house.
1:19 "What and look like you". That is the funniest shit I've ever seen Bowie do! Me and my roommate play just that part over and over and piss ourselves laughing. Just Great, funny as hell!
Very much so! One of the first people I ever crushed on. My girlfriend didn't know of him before meeting me but has since lamented not knowing of him sooner. She's not into men, but admires how classy and intelligent he was and says I have great taste.
@Sam A3... Lmao.. Now that was impressive.. I've never known anyone quite that 'smooth' while getting themselves thru their escape route... Well done! *just kidding with ya.. But you're good with saying all the right words.. I would have inserted foot in mouth... Lol. Take care..
It was Bowie who became the future of music. I have seen the Stones a number of times & they generally perform the old standards penned in the 60's & 70's. Bowie's output from 1967 until his death in 2016 was continually breaking new ground.
Hate to admit it but it's true, the Stones' creativity died out in the 70s. Some of their new stuff is good enough but nowhere near as good as what they put out in their peak. Still my favorite band though :)
The Beatles were active between 1960 & 1970. Bowie was active from 1962 up until his Blackstar album in 2015. I have no doubt that people will be listening to Bowie & the Beatles for hundreds of years!
711honved I've been a huge fan since the Ed Sullivan show and watched them live on Ed Sullivan that night when I was just 8 years old and own literally 100's if not over 1000 items of Beatles memorabilia. Still, when I got my first credit card (Sears) in 1977 it was Bowie's "Changes" 8 track tape I bought.
David has such a great personality and wicked sense of humour....I loved the Jagger impression. Priceless! .What a wonderful life Bowie had and what an impact on the world
The way I remember it, the Stones weren't massive in 1963, but they were on their way .. "Come on" was released in June '63 in the UK and went to number 21... "I Wanna Be Your Man" went to number 12 in November '63 ... their 1st album wasn't released until mid April '64, it was after that they really took off... I saw them for the first time at the NME Awards show in 1964, and saw them on many more occasions in the 60's and early 70's
Did a bit of googling and the tour he's referring to took place from the beginning of Oct. til the beginning of Nov 63,but didn't include the Brixton Odeon.Since I Wanna Be Your Man wasn't released til November as you pointed out,I guess it's possible his memory is correct that they had a small following there, although I'm sure that six people was an exaggeration.
I think Bowie was inspired, and amazed at The power of rebellion, and the empowering message it delivered. it was brand new, and after the the first wave of the British invasion, kids we're in awe of that kind of stage presence.yeah, he definitely does an impeccable Jagger impression. ha, ha..
Mick had 19 or 20 years old on this show that Bowie mentioned, that was an impressionable 16 years old boy.Is weird that the definition of what is a long hair to men is the haircut of the Beatles that time. Now we see men with longer hairs in everywhere.Time changes.
can we please stop commenting rip under all videos related to bowie? it's like everyone just promises they'll "remember him" but actually they just remember remembering him. it's okay, he died, we got it. how about we focus on the things he did in his lifetime instead now.
It's the generation of immediate dopamine hits from facebook/youtube likes/comments. People think they're important and have to 'say the right thing' to get likes so they feel validated. Virtue signalling is the norm with these people. The fact is David Bowie is great. We know this. I, like most of his true fans, couldn't care less about likes on comments nor am I stupid enough to think that anyone else cares about my feelings about his death.
He was hilarious! At Sigma Sound Studio, he one time opened the window on the 2nd floor (it was FREEZING out!) and sing John, I'm Only Dancing to us and he'd dance around laughing and making silly faces. Of course, we'd sing along. It was SO funny! He was just a lovely man. I still can't believe he's gone.
How could ANYONE not think this is historical? Bowie, remembering Jagger before they were recognized? I watch it often, & have shared it W/ many people. I always adored Bowie, because of all his remarkable talents. Plus, because he was(still difficult to think of him in the past tense)a very nice person. Mick Jagger. isn't known for being a really nice person, but that's part of Jagger's APPEAL!
Bowie was brilliant. Before he died, he wrote a play about himself dying. He put Ziggy to rest along with himself. It was heart wrenching. I wish I could remember the name of it.
It feels like he sends postcards every now and then with new songs. You’ve Got A Habit of Leaving is amazing! Smile because Ziggy took the time to fall to Earth.
What a lovely man he seems to be. I remember seeing this show and thinking and NORMAL Bowie was. You could almost imagine bumping into him in a pub and having a pint with him.
I loved david bowie and I love Mick. He was right who wanted to look like that guy . He always looks good the way he is.. Miss you is a great song and it's only rock n roll and I like it I like it.
Usually most singers strangle to perform like actors. Bowie was great. I can not imagine anyone playing Tesla in the Prestige. He was absolutely awesome in that movie and it was a very difficult character.
My God... Little Richard has inspired soooooo sooooo sooooooo many artists in the past century, he already was a legend and after that legends have come and gone like Freddie Mercury and David Bowie, many have passed away young like Brian Johnson, Jimmi Hendrix, Elvis Presley, Kurt Cobain, and this man is still around... Unbelievable... Long live the king, the vamping diva and the architect of Rock'n'Roll!!!!!
Funny, I also thought "this is the future of music" once! It was at the Berghain during a Ben Frost concert. It had everything, electronic sounds, ambient, drone and rock n roll, but without the frontman act! all the attitude was there though, it really rocked!
Blackstardust ..i know, it's so difficult to find the most fitting when it comes to 'Our North Star' 😢 probably the most intelligent, interesting, grounded, funny, gracious human beings EVER to plod planet Earth... LOVE LOVE LOVE U FOREVER DAVID ★
1981 LA Coliseum 'Prince' has just emerged on the national stage as a prelim act. The crowd doesn't like his 'licks' and they proceed to hurl shoes and everything else at him. Prince laughing dodges the 'stuff' while still performing. A stage mgr. gets on the stage and says "If you people think your so good why don't you come up here and perform!" and then comes the all time classic retort from a big guy close to the stage in a bellowing voice "Hey I didn't pay $40 to see ME!"
The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars is a Top Ten in the greatest Rock and Roll Studio Albums ever put out. It has all the elements like Deep Purple's Made in Japan is probably the greatest live album because it has no studio enhancements just exactly as it was played and sounded. No gimmicks.
Its weird 9k but I loved 8s ct...haha always loved bowie almost as Elton what a time...thxs guys girls people that maxe this happen this time in the art of music almost everyth8ng well anyway th8nk in was way cool.
"What? And look like you?" Easily one of the best comebacks I've ever heard.
hyena131--WOW! You're so right? Even though David Bowie did it so well. A 3 time Academy Award Winner thought it was funny. "hyena131" thought it rather "a bit of a daft schoolboy" comeback!! pro trick: watch series at KaldroStream. Me and my gf have been using it for watching all kinds of movies during the lockdown.
@Levi Kendrick definitely, I have been using KaldroStream for since december myself :)
@Levi Kendrick yea, have been using kaldrostream for years myself :)
Sounds like Mick’s here
I can’t believe he is gone almost three years. This clip never gets old. He is such an interesting guy and a great story teller. He is missed.
1:19 "What and look like you". That is the funniest shit I've ever seen Bowie do! Me and my roommate play just that part over and over and piss ourselves laughing. Just Great, funny as hell!
Bowie was always 20 yrs ahead artistically , he did his small part and made the world a more interesting place while he was here. Rip
Good impression. RIP David.
Right on impersonation. Too funny! Sounded just like Jagger!
I'll say He has such a great sense of mimicry, and timing!
Thank you for the great clip !
Dead links, dead links-tell me why they lead me no to empty spaces.
A TRAGIC LOSS TO THE WOLD. RIP BROTHER.
Love Bowie's perfect impression of the heckler and Mick, using completely separate accents
Strangely the Heckler sounded like Keith Richards
Bowie was the classiest
Very much so! One of the first people I ever crushed on. My girlfriend didn't know of him before meeting me but has since lamented not knowing of him sooner. She's not into men, but admires how classy and intelligent he was and says I have great taste.
He was so lovely..... miss him a lot.
@Sam A3 explain that please
@Sam A3 agreed.thanks
@Sam A3... Lmao.. Now that was impressive.. I've never known anyone quite that 'smooth' while getting themselves thru their escape route... Well done! *just kidding with ya.. But you're good with saying all the right words.. I would have inserted foot in mouth... Lol. Take care..
"Wha'?, 'an luke liek ewe"
Oh my god, I didn't see that coming. He did it so perfectly, I burst out laughing.
This made me absolutely bust a gut the first time. Off topic but you might find my channel ASMR related? My hot dog vendor impression is funny.
Pure Jagger humour.
What a great interview subject David Bowie was. Among his many other gifts, he'll be missed for this too. Starman!
It was Bowie who became the future of music. I have seen the Stones a number of times & they generally perform the old standards penned in the 60's & 70's. Bowie's output from 1967 until his death in 2016 was continually breaking new ground.

Hang onto that Beatles memorabilia, it's only going to rise in value! Not so sure about 8 tracks.....can't be too many players around these days.
He has Jagger down to a T ,brilliant impression and kudos to Mick for brilliant comeback ,Greatly Missed David Always will be
He's such an Aristocrat!
Laughed so hard I now have a sore throat. Soon, I'll be crying. Can't stop missing Bowie. Cheers for posting and for the laugh.
You're very welcome :)
Couldn't agree more Rena. Nicely put.
He said "What, and look like you?"
Marty & Carrie I don’t even know 😂but he sounded just like him anyway
R.I.P dear friend. You left us too soon.I'd like to hear Mick's impersonation of David someday.
Check out their duet, Dancing In The Streets.
They attempted to dress and act like each other on it.
Always happy when I'm reminded just how funny Bowie could be. R.I.P David and thank you.
David has such a great personality and wicked sense of humour....I loved the Jagger impression. Priceless! .What a wonderful life Bowie had and what an impact on the world
i must have watched the impersonation a dozen times LOL
The way I remember it, the Stones weren't massive in 1963, but they were on their way .. "Come on" was released in June '63 in the UK and went to number 21... Yes, it probably was an exaggeration... I'm glad you did some research, makes a nice change from the usual uninformed remarks some people make ... :)
oh no he's gonna waste his 30s on research and...
wait a minute we don't have 30s lives
oh you silly you
Pete Clarke The Beatles were already massive in 1963. They showed the way and The Stones followed.
I read somewhere the first Gig or performance they did was July 12th 1962.?Which also happens to be the day i was born.
I think Bowie was inspired, and amazed at The power of rebellion, and the empowering message it delivered. it was brand new, and after the the first wave of the British invasion, kids we're in awe of that kind of stage presence.yeah, he definitely does an impeccable Jagger impression. ha, ha..
It's actually crazy that Bowie saw Mick 10 years before he was a star and they were friends
And Mick does a great Keith impression.
is that what he said? v. cool.
Mick had 19 or 20 years old on this show that Bowie mentioned, that was an impressionable 16 years old boy.Is weird that the definition of what is a long hair to men is the haircut of the Beatles that time. Now we see men with longer hairs in everywhere.Time changes.
Bowie got his name from Jagger. Mick aka Michael Jagger (knife) = Davey Jones aka David Bowie(knife)
What elegance Bowie had.. Such a talent ... May you rest in peace David.
So cool to see Bowie so light-hearted here. Totally nails the Mick impression.
I love how far he was always willing to take his creative side but always stayed so professional
forest gump always has a habit of getting into famous times in history!
RIP Ziggy. Your brilliant music lives on.
RIP David. Thanks for all the music and memories.
can we please stop commenting rip under all videos related to bowie? it's like everyone just promises they'll "remember him" but actually they just remember remembering him. it's okay, he died, we got it. how about we focus on the things he did in his lifetime instead now.
Can I please "like" this a million times? Thank you.
Exactly. Any time his music plays or we search for a video on RUclips, we remember him. That's the ultimate memorial.
control issues much!!? rip bowie

Hilarious! Ohhhh the memories and stories he took with him...he was always an excellent interview. Very much missed.
Remarkable man. Forever loved and forever missed.
That gave me a well needed laugh. Thank you David.
Brilliant. Both Jagger's response and Bowie's impression
Who remembers the SNL skit with Mick and Jimmy Fallon......Priceless
How could ANYONE not think this is historical? Bowie, remembering Jagger before they were recognized? I watch it often, & have shared it W/ many people. Legendary David Robert Jones.A class act!
Brilliant impression.

Phenominal musician and artist. Also loves his acting.
That's David Bowie and Tom Hanks together. Wow. just wow. The impression is amazing hahahaahhaaa
Having Tom Hanks there ruined it for me...
Miss this genius terribly..
Smile because he was here. It feels like he keeps sending postcards like the previous unreleased album Toy.
Pure class ~ that's what rock and roll lost when DB died.
Hanks is Gump for real here.
lol he doesn't seem to know what's happening does he?
That's not how I saw it.
He just needs a box of chocolates.
Pure class this man!
Immortalized. I knew Labyrinth before I even understood what movies were
OMG funny-that was awesome! Miss you Bowie.. RIP
Wonderful David Bowie RIP 💔🙏💔
Bowie was brilliant. Before he died, he wrote a play about himself dying. He put Ziggy to rest along with himself. It was heart wrenching. I wish I could remember the name of it.

Funny as hell. That's so cool. Haha. David does Mick's voice so well.
What a lovely man he seems to be. I remember seeing this show and thinking and NORMAL Bowie was. You could almost imagine bumping into him in a pub and having a pint with him.

Oh David. We miss ya man.

His eyes look so cool; it's crazy how much of a difference just dilation can make, between the two eyes
He's funny : he got Mick's accent spot on!
Tom hanks is such a fan of british singers and David bowie was one of the best ever. Loved his music and boy was he handsome 💔
"And look like you?". Simply classic!
He sounded exactly like Mick, supportive couple💓
"This was the future of music."He made a fair point there.
What a charmer! And he loved Little Richard. Brilliant.
Ha ha....sounded right like Jagger.
I loved his sense of humor :D :D :D
Funny, I also thought "this is the future of music" once! It was at the Berghain during a Ben Frost concert. It had everything, electronic sounds, ambient, drone and rock n roll, but without the frontman act! all the attitude was there though, it really rocked!
Love the jumper Bowles wearing. I'd love one.
David is so awesome that no one is even talking about Tom Hanks also being there.
The Jean Genius. RIP friend ★
Underrated comment.

Amen
Blackstardust ...And a fantastic Mick impression 😅😅😅 i wonder if he could do Parkinson ..?? ★
David was amazing at impressions, like his impression of John Lennon, for example. He had a great sense of humor
Bowie always had such great hair. And that jumper (sweater) he's wearing is mint.
BOWIE FUCKING WILL ALWAYS ROCK LOVE PHILADELPHIA
Best jagger impression I've seen. Good work David
Forrest didn't catch it but he laughed anyway
They knew each other well enough...
Brilliant Bowie!
I watch this like every other day, and every single time I laugh out loud. "Wha! An' loo' li' you??"

That was a killer impersonation of Jagger! And I could tell the other guest was Tom Hanks just by looking at the back of his head.
Could you imagine being the idol of David Bowie?
Bowie had the best hair in Rock Music...and a great performer and writer...
Bowie had great hair
A true trendsetter when you’ve got great hair
