More than 10 years I play this amazing song on piano solo. Hard to learned because Eb is a "full back keys" 😂. You made me smile because when I started sax, I also say that "this is my goal". I realize with your video that alto is a good instrument for this because you are in C (lucky guy!). On my C melody it is hard but it gives a beautifull objective. Thank for sharing ❤

The long phrase at 14.15 min mentions two times G at the almost end of the phrase, but a hear two different notes? After one year of playing the altsax this is really nice to learn! Thanks for that.

I always lern the songs following the music sheet, it is the first time that I have learnt a song only with the notes indication (A,Bb, etc). Is easier to internalise the melody, as if you transcribe the song from the original. I encourage you to do more of this video for other songs. A possible proposal would be "Don't mess with Mr. T" from Stanley Turrentine. Thanks!!!!!! 🎷

So I’m going to set you a challenge. Learn all of Take five, including the solo. Can you do it? At the moment I'm teaching full time from home and I'm virtually at full capacity so the videos I'm making get done in the gaps between clients or in the evening or very early morning. @@lyndenblades I was going to nag you but I am giving you a break! LOL. Thing is the app has been around for at least 10 years. There are several real clunky, junky tutorials on youtube but I am surprised they missed the boat on it. Do they assume I have ESP to figure out the quirks? If you COULD do several videos on it SLOWLY explaining it all, that would be great. I will noodle around a bit on them but would appreciate guidance from someone "that has been there". Still trying to wake up, just 730 am on the east coast!!

@@lyndenblades I was going to nag you but I am giving you a break! LOL. Thing is the app has been around for at least 10 years. There are several real clunky, junky tutorials on youtube but I am surprised they missed the boat on it. Do they assume I have ESP to figure out the quirks? If you COULD do several videos on it SLOWLY explaining it all, that would be great. I will noodle around a bit on them but would appreciate guidance from someone "that has been there". Still trying to wake up, just 730 am on the east coast!!

I’m so sorry about that. With the current editing software I’m using there isn’t an alternative I’m afraid.
