I remember waking up everyday during like October or December being like “I wonder what cool event they are gonna have” and then they would post the event and it would be super fun I would just play them nonstop, same with the egg hunts, my favorite thing about roblox was the events and I honestly cried when I heard they were removing them cause those were the funnest things ever.

One of the worst in my opinion is removing the option to stack hairs. Which you can now only do by installing a 3rd party extension such as Ropro or BTRoblox.

Hey Kreek! Fun fact, Roblox has actually been hosting sponsored events since 2010. The first being for a Disney show called Zeke and Luther in March 2010. Transformers also had one in February 2011!
I miss the idea of Roblox events but I understand their reasoning. In the early development stages of Roblox, Dave and Erik learned that the community created better games, I mean experiences. So Roblox is following that same ideology of taking a step back and letting developers & the community create the events. RB Battles being a great example of this.
The largest issue is the community wanting rewards and Roblox needs to make that option more available to developers.

The worst update was the oof sound removal because roblox decided to change the new oof sound instead of purchasing the the old one. The new oof sound is very difficult to get used to.

its so sad they removed GOOD events because back in 2020 i first discovered what events were and i loved them so much but it was so sad that they literally removed them a couple months later so i missed out on a ton of fun :(

One good update recently was server sorting, where you could see not full servers, and see the top/bottom server
I saw this too and i rly like it. but i also dont like that you can only see a couple players from the server. i liked being able to see ALL the players in the server. tbh i think i liked this so i knew not to join a troll server or slender server and stuff .-.

Alot of the complaints usually come from the roblox players but not many roblox developers. As a dev myself, I have experienced roblox constantly deprecating useful instances, enumerations and properties that decompose and make scripting easier for me. Some instances such as body velocity, message, velocity, and floorwire helped so much and i never understood why roblox loves to deprecate helpful things so much...

One of the more unknown updates that sucked to a lot of people was the fixing of the corner clip glitch
What this is is basically just a glitch that makes you be able to glitch through walls by facing a corner, then you would put your camera in a specific position, then you would go into first person or activate shift lock to be able to get to the other side of the wall
This glitch was mostly used in obby games like difficulty chart obbies and juke’s towers of hell type games (if you don’t know what juke’s towers of hell is, it is not another one of those tower of hell ripoffs or fan games, it is actually the game that inspired tower of hell, the co owner of tower of hell kiddie_cannon now known as obren_tune made the original version of JTOH named kiddies towers of hell, before eventually passing it on to jupiter_five now known as jukereise or juke)
This glitch was used to perform the regular of just glitching through a wall, or doing some hard jump where you do the glitch and jump at the same time to make a hard jump.
This was also used in other games to mess around and confuse people, but was also abused in some other games.
It might sound obvious as to why roblox removed it since it was abused and all but roblox has also not patched other glitches that are used in the same games.
This also made a ton of these obby games broken and impossible to beat unless skipped.
For some other obby games however, they have made a fix to the patch by having specific bricks have a keybind to be able to glitch through that brick, or another fix which is a recreation that has the same physics as the old glitch and is much better.
I would consider this to be one of the worst updates as I play and like tons of these obby games and like to play them very frequently, and as well as not having the ability to troll people and mess with people in games by glitching through walls is also just not fun.
Sorry for the long essay about one roblox update, all of this information is necessary to knowing what happened and why I and a lot of people hate this update so try reading as much as you can.
TL:DR Some obby games had this glitch that was used to make hard jumps in these obbies and it got patched so a lot of people are mad because some obby games are broken and impossible.

Well actually in one of there "Goodbye Tickets" blog post, they actually didn't said that they removed it because of more money they might of remove it because of people abusing the tix feature, Like for a Example: Roblox players will judt create a alt accounts and they will use a exploit were they just join a random roblox game and leave and this exploit was just a loop it did and this was mainly abused back then you'll mainly see a default account just join a game and leave in a second just to tix farm. (NOTE: This is a long reply I did but hoply this reply makes since btw I actually been playing roblox since tix was still around but I nevered had it memories of me farming up tix I only remember icon of the tix on the roblox tab.
The fix of the laughing glitch: if you don’t know what this is, it’s basically where you where able to basically noclip through walls, but with no hacks. basically what you had to do was use /e laugh or /e dance and use the shift lock button at the correct time to go through the walls. People would use this for obbys, difficult charts, and more.
i think that one of the updates a lot of people were sad about was stopping the egg hunts, when i found this out a few years back i was really sad.
The only thing I love about the "events" are the free items

what's funny in these sponsored events is that the fact they always cause disruptions and get massive dislikes and less visits. nothing beats both vans and hello kitty cafe
I think it was the right choice to remove tix, but I think that they should have replaced it with something like being able to earn robux for free
Getting guests to get removed is the right choice too! Dont forget! Roblox wouldve been dead because it wouldve been overrun with cheaters using guest accounts.

On another thing, I had builders club a few times. It was nice that you got daily robux instead of monthly robux which premium is now but it’s sad they removed it.

I do in fact miss those good ol' events, the egg hunt I attended (which was the only egg hunt I was able to attend due to only making my account in 2018), was extremely fun to do and I just wish I was able to do more before they were gone for good..
Honestly the sponsored game is ok for me because there still fun. The only one I hated was the alo one because I had to wait ten minutes just to get a free item.
I hate so much the audio removal update, i spent 350 robux in a Radio for me to play music, NOW I CAN JUST PLAY STUPID SOUND EFFECTS. Roblox at this point is just ending with their community, i hope they change their mind when they see their current revenue.
true. i remember the guest feature. i officially joined roblox in 2018, but i wanted to play it back in 2016. i wanted to join as a guest, but i changed my mind. i also remember the builder's club one. and yes, the sound removal and the off removal were one of the worst updates this year.

One update that is bad is how they removed where you changed your avatar, it was in a wardrobe. Instead of a white void. In the wardrobe it would make you feel like you actually were changing your avatar and dressing up.
Now i am sooo grateful to have been able to play the egg hunts twice the 2019 and 2020. Ik they weren’t so good but at least they were something.

Before I even clicked on this video, I knew that the "Oof Removal" Update was gonna be on here. It is the worst Update ever that ROBLOX has gone through and I don't think an Update could top it in terms of how horrible it is to the community.
I'd say that the filtering enabled update is a good thing. With it off it is extremely easy for hackers to hack into roblox games, and with it on they can only do that if they know the names of remote events or have more advanced hacks. It is sad that some games were unplayable, but I think that those games are an ok trade off for not having more hackers.
If remote events are in replicated storage then they can be found and also there is an exploit to see every event that is fired

Updates that i dont like:
No oof noise, removing game genre filter, no music (it ruins popular game TTD3 by ALOT.) and probably rthro but they look cool in a way.
I like the sponsored event games because they give you free items, one of my favorite events was the Wimbledon tennis game.
I dont like the games in general, just the free items is what gets my attention. Popular youtuber SharkBlox uploads TONS of Roblox news and videos on how to get free items in (insert an event here) which helps alot of people get items to style their avatar including me.

Removing egg hunts hit hard though, guest removal and tix didn't hit as hard because it wasn't a major thing for me, I guess tix was pretty cool but I didn't mind robux anyways, guest didn't really hit at all because I usually played on a account, but egg hunts was a big part of roblox, for me since it was my favorite thing to do honestly, it's sad how exploits caused alot of removals, to think what people thought of a minor convenience to roblox caused such a huge impact, ah yes nearly forgot to mention the good ol builders club, I bought the cheapest subscription and I'd say the cool hard hat was very worth it, and around the time I purchased it I got a Easter egg basket, it was really cool and made me feel good about myself, it was also a genuinely cool item to wear for an everyday fit, when I lost my account, I'd lost a peice of my life because my egg hunt eggs, my builders club ect all went away, now you can get premium and feel good about yourself, its not worth it, neither is the robux if you even get it for premium

I miss guests as much of Tix. But I also miss older events. However there was supposed to be a Spirit of Hallow’s Eve last year in October 2021 but was gone due to the 2021 website outage. But it might happen this year. We also got a fan made egg hunt called Lost in Time for this year too.
In a recent sharkblox video he says they are still working on that.(I already knew it was coming but that confirmed it)

I understand the sponsored events, and why people don’t like it, I also know why roblox started doing them (to save money). Although, most of the things on the tier list make me think of y’all as spoiled kids. Like roblox was sued and they had no choice, and the new death sound isn’t that bad. Imagine the amount of bots if they didn’t remove guests, and honestly, there was no points of guests other than that they were just an incognito mode, and they also didn’t save (I wasn’t playing when they had guests so please correct me if I’m wrong). I guessed that guest’s (see what I did there) could stop people from joining RUclipsrs, but that’s pretty much it. Also, they removed TIX for a good reason. So I’m going to teach all of you something: have your own opinions!

It would be best for Roblox to not be popular because of exploiters,there are tons of exploiters ruining the system of Roblox, it isn't fair.

Now, I know that I'm probably gonna get a lot of controversy for saying this but...I think most of the "worst roblox updates" were mostly because of hacker/exploiters. I mean, there have been some MAJOR roblox hackers that have done some pretty bad things in the roblox community and also the fact that you could easily do something like exploit the tix system for your own gain so some of these updates, for me anyways, seems understandable for why roblox had to do what they had to do in order to keep their platform safe.
Although, if there were some things that roblox could definitely fix, it would be stuff like the moderation, the chat with it hashtaging everything people say regardless if its bad or not, and other stuff instead of focusing on events that barely anybody even goes to in the first place. Although, this is just opinion rather than actual fact so take everything I say here with a very small pinch of salt.
@miko foin Well I think it was more that roblox just didn't wanna spend a little bit of their money so that roblox can keep the sound under the owner's rights but yeah, it was still a pretty lazy decision
