You built your own version of Merge! I'm assuming you saw the game and took inspiration. If not, try it out, it legit works the exact same way! You may need to add some extra features, as Merge has a lot of charm to it. It's probably your main competitor

The best way to learn in my opinion is to follow a step-by-step guide to creating a game, like GnomeCode's TD tutorial. I think it is best to ask yourself why anything works all of the time, otherwise it wouldn't be effective; you should also pause for every single line that is written instead of waiting till the end of a section to copy the code, which may be more helpful in absorbing information. If you come across an error, try to fix it yourself, and if you are stuck for an hour or two, just rewrite the whole section. After you are done, follow the series again and make a new game maybe once or twice more, and it should be much easier. You should try to add your own ideas and code come the second or third time. For example, for a TD game, try to implement multiple upgrade paths, multiple walking paths, unique gimmicks, etc. You should not try to add these features the first time by the way.
This is very motivating, who needs these boring professional classes im taking for coding which is unreal engine, I was pretty unmotivated to try and make roblox games before this but now I may try doing just what you did
