Man, when I first ran the sequencer I had no idea what to even expect, but when that beat dropped and my entire screen turned red, it got my adrenaline going. Even though in reality all you're really doing is typing some commands in a terminal and navigating through some files, it still felt pretty intense. It's still a shame that the final mission ended up being so short, though.
Man those were some of the most intense minutes of my life, I completely forgot to dc/forkbomb outta there too and I was a little too sloppy with my fingerwork to delete all my logs in time (nor did I realise that calling rm * multiple times would speed up the process haha), seeing that screen fade out just like in noix's attack and hacknet boot back up, giving you some time to reflect on all the shit you've done (including giving a man an artificial heart attack and watching him die), it's amazing how much a game can get to you with just a few windows of text and limited graphics
Many things start just for fun. And eventually they create something epic. It becomes a story. We're lucky this story has been shared to us. Thanks Matt.

wish this game was a lot a longer. i think uplink is the better "hacker simulator" game overall even though i think the visuals/sound for this game are much better and cooler, as evidenced by this video. if you had the visuals + soundtrack of this game and the gameplay + progression of uplink i think you'd have one of the best games out there

Sure it is the best hacking game I have ever seen, but in my opinion, Uplink is the most realistic as you can get thrown to jail for not covering the track! :)
I know shit little about this game, but watching this video randomly and realising the ost was insane. I remember the fast techo music that was playing from a game where 4 bandits storm a building filled with russian mobsters, now its used to hack anyone who dares defy you.
