I also have the Beetles, Bugs and Butterflies book that you showed by Lalylala and that is one of the 12 as well!! Also, I really want that Bella Coco card deck. It was one of the two on my xmas list so may need to grab that one myself! Now, on to the publishing. The person that called you is no doubt what they call a "Hybrid Publisher" which I have spoken to before as well with my Adeline story. It was the whole "I love your book and we want to publish it, you will just need to invest $2k to get things going". It is basically where they cover some and you cover some to get it out into the world. I am glad you decided against it. I won't be surprised though if they call you off and on though for years. That happened to me too. We will be going through the self-publishing journey together Kim!!
