    Great video! I learned the peeking perch from you guys and implemented it some time ago and am so glad for it - both for going in and coming out of the enclosure!

    Going to try the varied experience. Sunny I think hates going back in because she knows that I generally need to leave the room. Thanks Sophie!

    Do you mind sharing the exact cages you use for your cockatiels (brand, dimension, maybe a link to the cage so I can purchase)? It looks so spacious and I would really like to upgrade my bird's cage

    There were a couple of times where my tiel did not want to go in at bedtime. And once, he slept all night on top of his habitat! lol🕊

    I've been lucky enough to not to have to worry about that. My birds put themselves away at night. I don't even close the cage door and they wait till I get up in the morning before they come out of the cage

    Where did you get your white cages? After watching your video, its clear i need to get a larger one such as the white ones you have. Thank you!

    awesome video! unrelated but im going into year 9 and will be picking gcse options soon so which gcses do you need to work with birds/animals in general?

    • @BirdNerdSophie
      @BirdNerdSophie  2 месяца назад +1

      That's awesome! It depends on what your school has to offer, but focusing on sciences, especially biology, will be useful! If you are hoping to go to college to study an animal qualification, you can check out the entry requirements for different courses to see what they ask for too!

    My conure will fly and sit on me, preen me ect but if my hands go anywhere near him he will bite them, he even flys, lands on my hands and then starts biting them, do you have any tips?

    • @BirdNerdSophie

      It's a very common issue, but it's good to work out why - is he trying to gain something or remove something from his environment as behaviour is fuelled by it's consequences!
      You can do some target training through the cage bars to establish trust and beak manners!
