A well made show that attracted some great stars of the day: Michael Strong, Joanne Dru, Lloyd Bochner, Richard Anderson, Frank Marth. All of them gave the series a real sense of gravitas. Shame only 26 were made, but at least we all have those. Thanks for the upload.
The fake Green Hornet is missing the most important part of the Green Hornet's arsenal and that is a REAL KATO!!!!!!! Lol!!!!! To bad he didn't have a fake Kato because the fight between a Fake Kato and the Real Kato would be something to really look forward too!!!!! Wow!!!!!
For anyone interested LLOYD Gough (A.K.A. Mike AXFORD) was on a episode of the 1967 tv series Mannix. The name of the episode is called Turn Every Stone.
Episodes like this highlight how Scanlon and Reid would end up on opposite sides one day. Reid as The Green Hornet is brutal and his results are final. Great show. Someone should tell Greg Berlanti he needs to add this show to his list.
An interesting cliff-hanger ... and no need for it to be "action-packed" ... it seems a logical place to break the story. The producers originally wanted to produce a one-hour show, and the program was originally announced as an hour. Perhaps that's why the story plays out this way.
"Another challenge for the Green Hornet, his aide, Kato, and their rollin' arsenal, the Black Beauty. On police records, a wanted criminal. The Green Hornet is really Britt Reid, owner/publisher of the Daily Sentinel. His dual identity is known only to his secretary and to the District Attorney. And now, to protect the rights and lives of decent citizens, rides the GREEN HORNET!"
That was the voice of Television Producer William Dozier of both the Batman and The Green Hornet Television Series. Quote by WILLIAM DOZIER (To BRUCE LEE)~ "Confucious say, 'Green Hornet to buzz no more."
When Brit went to attend that party he should have had Kato and Black Beauty nearby and using the drone to see if the fake Black Beauty shows up and then attack it!!!! Something tells me Batman (Adam West) would have had done something to that affect!!!
There have been situations where Kato has been in costume where Britt has not. That would have been a good idea, but the writers wanted a two-parter so we got this.

yes Green Hornet came out on the radio show back in 1936 and didn't get his own comic til 1940 Batman came out in 1939. So if you think about it The Hornet was the original "Dark Knight" lol
Feels weird to basically see the fake Green Hornet behind the wheel of a Black Beauty, instead of in the back seat. Proof that no one comes close to matching Kato.
l saw Green Hornets in 1970s(probably).....but all l can remember is : the sidekick driver.......no wonder l married a driver..........ha...ha...8/5/20......Bruce Lee?
and my father said :vote for Lee (Singapore).....hmmm....and loved Harper Lee 's "to kill a mocking bird ".....lawyer Atticus.........another hmmmmm8/5/20
Not me either. The show is awesome quality. Perhaps you mean this ep doesn`t feature Lee so much compared to the rest, but that`s obvious. It`s someone else posing as the Green Hornet.

Very underated tv show ; it had too many guns for regular tv maybe a movies series
WHAT ABOUT Columbo and Kojak THEY HAD GUNS AND murders if you don't like it don't look at it
@@alifuller1658 green hornet was like 1967 tv show; it had western tv show late 1950s/ 1960s it depend what time it on too
Van Zandt Williams was the coolest Green Hornet!
Seth Rogan committed the greatest disservice to the Green Hornet franchise!
What a disgrace!
Joanne Dru (who plays Sabrina) was the sister of Peter Marshall, who hosted "Hollywood Squares" for many years.
Dru died in 1996. She was 74.
And she looks like him too!

I'm not sure that the fabric of reality could survive such a conflict.

The Green Hornet....first hero to use a drone on television?
Bama Fan---Looks that way. They called it a scanner.
True.
Old Flash Gordon tv series he used drones frequently.

What a action packed cliff hanger!

I Love the Geen Hornet show. R.I.P. Bruce Lee.

Alden R. Davis---Now where did I hear that intro before?
Lol! You nailed it, I can hear Al Hirt's trumpet!!!

Have you noticed how on initial episodes, The Black Beauty is very shiny and in the later episodes a very dull black like in this two part episode!
WOW DUDE YOU SURE KNOW YOUR STUFF COOL DUDE 👊
How cool must it be to have a professional Manicure?
Britt had it going on!
I get the feeling that the Pony Room was inspired by the multiple Playboy Clubs operating in the 1960s.
In the background is the Mayberry courthouse
The big shots back in middle 60s sure didn’t know a Good Show when they had one they could have lasted easily 4 to 5 Years!!
The best episode of The Green Hornet.
Green Hornet: Episode 17.
Season 1. Episode 17. "Corpse of the Year". (Part 1).

the girls on Green Hornet have the best hair...
Wasn't it Bob Crane kissing the blonde when the fake Green Hornet arrived?
Sure looks like him to me.
@@cologeek I agree.
There will never be a green hornet and kato ever again only van Williams and Bruce Lee could play those roles

This episode was a Yellowstone Park for honey bears.😊
Angelique Pettyjohn of Star Trek fame was one of the bathing beauties in this episode.
....and Casare Danova who starred as the Italian racing count, Elmo Mancini, in "Viva Las Vegas" with Elvis.
Is the (uncredited) actor she's kissing in the final scene before Simon is killed being played by ... Bob Crane?
@@smurf0inferno Is this actor in Part I or II?
@@smurf0inferno It looks like him, but don't think it is.
Cesare was also in the “Rifleman” show.
I can't imagine why Kato didn't open fire on the Fake Black Beauty the second it was in front of them???? Why wait??????????
SO sad Bruce had a short life but his acting since 10 years old.
They're forgetting.Kato. He works for the Green Hornet.
Kato is cute.WOW👍
the green hornet came out before Batman.
It came out half a year after Batman. It overlapped the second season of Batman.
I think he meant the character. The character came before, the show came after.
yes Green Hornet came out on the radio show back in 1936 and didn't get his own comic til 1940

I never knew as a kid this show was on. Batman was the show i watched....but it was too goofy for my taste.
I see a drone ( or scanner) in this show 🛰

If we could see the # of thumbs-down clicks your post has generated, I imagine it would be in the dozens range. A year later, you have ZERO likes.
@@Ragnar06 can certainly add my thumbsdown to the OP's comment
