About Adventures Made From Scratch: I’m just a regular guy who likes to find adventure in day to day life. We may not be able to go travel the world, but there are plenty of opportunities at our door step. I do a mix of vintage car stuff, scrapyard stuff, nature hiking, and who knows what else?!? Come with me as I take you along for a ride in my world!

I’m 42 and grew up about a mile from your dad’s yard on 11th. For as long as I can remember, there has been a literal MOUNTAIN of cars there. When I was younger, I always wondered how the top couple layers of car even made it up as high as they are.
Your Dad is lucky he has you to give him a hand to get the yard cleaned up. Its nice you have the time too as you are usually busy doing your own work. You'll have to borrow dads new loader to use in your yard. LOL. It looks nice.
I was watching some old farm clean up videos and bang, the notification for this video popped up. Thanks for the pleasant surprise Silas.
Thanks Silas, great too see you helping your dad at his yard, I can see a few parts that I want but no doubt they're gone now! I don't mind as it's just too hard a task to be selling just a few parts when you have so much to do!
Holy potato, what a lot of cars in that yard. You'll be busy with that for a while before it's all made into scrap metal. I enjoyed your video, as I always do, Silas. I wish you a very happy camping trip with all you'll be doing there, and hopefully you'll have some better weather. I look forward to your next video. 😎👍
If i lived out by you I'd be over there in a heart beat. I've been scrapping junk since i was a teenager to make extra money. I've always had a full time job but me and my best friend were always looking to do some scrapping to make extra money for the family
I have done it part time and full time . The bad thing is when i cant do it full time like now everyone has scrap to get rid of.
I love the crushing videos and the parts you manage to save! I can’t wait to see the campers and buses get cleared out. Thanks for the fun entertainment.
So Silas it's true The fruit never falls far from the tree!
Can not save everything, no mercy, Father ,son day priceless, thumbs up, great video
17:26 I don't know the demand on those Plymouths but I much enjoy their beauty and rarity, it's like I haven't seen one since then.
1974 I belive. 👍🤠
So glad to see you got a industrial mower mulcher
I always enjoy when you crush an old item on top of a new car. Like the piano and Volvo, how it almost folded the car in half before it started to crush. Same thing with the drill wheels. Man they made stuff tough back in the day!🤘
I am a busy grandpa these days and I rarely get the chance to watch some of your videos. As always, I enjoyed my time spent.
You have such a fun job Silas, thank the Lord for it
YOUR YARD IS AWESOME YOU R. THE. LUCKYEST GUY ALIVE
wahoo no 1 for the first time ever. great way to spend my afternoon.
Nice when you was a kid you got to help around in the junkyard, i did the same in my friends pops yard ....while most kids was playing with Tonka trucks we got to experience actual heavy equipment like the loader ,excavators & my favorite the crusher
Your exemplify what it is to be a team player and to give back. Correct me if I'm wrong your dad did what he could for you growing up. Now it's your turn to reciprocate. This is the family business. It always falls on The Next generation to continue on. You have shown us that the American dream is not dead. Just have to work a little hard to get there. 👍👍👍👍👍
Excellent silas have a fantastic camping trip cheers 🥂 😊

I thoroughly enjoy your videos, the wind noise doesn't bother me. ( loud ringing in my ears is louder than the wind) I used to work at the local wrecking yard prepping cars for the Mobile Crusher back in the day

That’s an 89-91 suburban, they put that grill on them to make them look more like an early obs. That is my favourite square body grill of all time

You and your dad should consider getting a copper reclaiming unit you put all the wiring harnesses in it strips the insulation and chips up the copper wire into like a pallet bag I've seen it done on RUclips I don't remember where
Bring the new crusher up to the new yard and both y'all can crush cars
Campers , campers and look more campers ! If your brave enough maybe a video of rifling thru campers and see if you can find any treasures ! Maybe some spare change ! 😊😊😊😊
Trees seem to be a big problem in the yards. Have you ever thought of spraying to kill the weeds and trees?
On those hydraulic shocks on the topper- I use an aluminum Tent pole that will fit over the end of the shock when you un- clip it and slide it onto the shaft, cut to the shaft length and it holds it up. When closed it slides over the shock body.
Good job lol lol lol
Thanks 👍
Eyyy, some AMFS!
Silas, saw that Pacer and remembered a RUclipsr, Robby Layton is needing some parts. Check out his twin turbo Pacer. Also, Matt's Off Road Recovery is a Corvair collector.

If you never bought anything else, how many years would it take to clear your properties 100%?
Hey could crush it all in like 3 weeks
Properly processing everything probably 10-15 years minimum
Thankyou silas
Wow Silas you crushed those wheels
When vehicles come into your dad's yard that you want to keep do you buy them from the business? Love your videos. Take Care.
Yes that was a lot stuff to go on Peace out
Why don't you take off the aluminum wheels before you crush them?
There was one like this in my state, a Midwest company traveled with all their equipment to southern New england 6 12 hour days later nothing but a sand lot was left
Sorry Dad didn't get a whole lot done today. Didn't crush much. Out making Movies 😂
Been nice knowing you through your videos but i only have a short time to live so saying goodbye to all my favorite youtube folks😢
