I remember meeting Tommy by himself years before he had passed coming out of the Sunset Station Casino Sports Book in Vegas. We talked briefly outside (good brotha/not stuck up). I also remember when Tommy first started out with Martin on stage in West L.A. doing plays back in 1988.

I met Tommy Ford back in the fall of 2002 at a hotel where I worked at the time. He was a beautiful soul and extremely humble. He even gave me and my co-workers tickets to his play. I am forever grateful for meeting him. I also met Carl Payne. He was a beautiful soul and humble as well.

I got a chance to meet Tommy in Detroit at a high school. he was giving a motivational speech with his wife . He was definitely inspiration. He was definitely about the youth. RIP brother.
I met Tommy once in Sacramento in 2002, I was working at the mall and I tried to sell him a cellular contract...when I realized it was him I blew his cover and he ran off...he returned about an hour later and shot me an autograph after telling me I had a big mouth lol! he was in town doing a play I believe...great guy, was in great spirits that day too. RIP!

My heart goes out to him, I know this pain. I lost a close friend of 20 years and I still weep at her memories and we talked on the phone EVERY DAY. It's says a lot about a person's character when you can be missed and spoken fondly about, life is truly a present.

My mom used to work in the district office at that time. Wonder why she didn't say anything.
He visited the school I worked at too. It used to be Williams Elementary but it was one of the many schools in Chicago that got closed. I’m so angry I didn’t get a copy of the picture we took with him. He was so nice and so, so tall! He was in between projects at the time and a little frustrated at the run around he felt he was getting from producers and executives in Hollywood. He had on a white jogging suit. Never forgot that day. ❤️
I was a student there at the time as well!!! That's when he told us his job...he worked for the big brothers association.
Some years ago him and his wife was hosting a gospel concert at St. Mark's MBC, I think that is the name of the church off 147th in Harvey, IL. He was so down to earth.

My father was the food service manager at the Juvenile Hall in Philly. Tommy came to visit the kids and try to motivate them out of living that life. My father had a few pictures with Tommy, and he always said how much of a gentleman he was.

In Selma, Alabama when the annual bridge crossing jubille got started, he was one of the first famous people to come there for that. Great entertainer and great person. You are missed my brother!
I met Tommy a year before his passing in office depot. He was smiling and I noticed his perfect teeth. He was waiting on a print out of a poster for a new movie project he was working on. I didn't crack a joke about him not having a job lol. For about 20 minutes we laughed and talked and waited. The young people in there didn't know they were in the presence of greatness. That was a fun day. RIP

Its so hard when the unexpected actually happens. I feel your pain Carl. After being told, they could "cure" my husband's cancer, two weeks after his first treatments , he had chemo induced lung damage and died. You are left feeling like its not possible and spend your days trying to accept it. REST IN PEACE until we see you again Tommy

Met Tommy at the National Harbor in Maryland right outside of the Cadillac Ranch. When i see celebrities i waive because i lnow they get bombarded with autograph requests. I was with friends and they asked for his autograph and he was so gracious and patient. He just seemed like a good dude amd we were all thankful of his time!

Well said! I saw this video headline but just watched it because I only met Tommy Ford once and he was so nice and funny! Carl Payne, this is who I feel after the passing of my loved ones and friends. Your perspective on life is forever changed and look at things differently. Everyone has a purpose in life!
