180+ mph in 1st gear looks insane. Side note, I've tried some of the tunes/builds from your vids and the spreadsheets and each one feels amazing. Moreover, these sort of tunes inspired me to look into SpecDB, and change some values to make certain cars more balanced for some events.
It was surprisingly easy to learn for the most part. An example I'm currently testing is with the Opel Calibra Touring Car in the Suzuka 1000k. I changed it's tyres to be a fair bit wider since its vanilla tyre wear is very poor (from 285/335 F/R, to 310/360 F/R iirc) and it can now compete against a balanced line up. It's grip modifiers are still amongst the worst in the line ups, and I don't know how to change those, but thankfully it can still compete with most cars.
I find great value not only in your video, but also in the description box. After reading your description, it's very interesting to pay attention to the accelerator gauge while cornering. Supercar festival is fun. Whenever I challenge with my favorite Soarer 2.5 GT-T '97(550ps), it's always a dead heat with TommyKaira ZZ-II(cheat power?).
Unfortunately I don't think it's possible like in later games, unless there's something I missed. This SLR maxes out at around 82mph in reverse, and the game's physics keep trying to make the car do a 180 with even the slightest turn inputs. I tested the same thing in GT2 a while back but couldn't get anywhere with it there either.
@@TeaKanjiThe only car I do know that Can do a reverse is the Chapparal 2D, but even with that, I believe you still need an straight, cuz reverse just is op while tapping the steer by literally 1mm
I might make a video in the future that offers a definitive guide for gear setup, but in the meantime, I think it's a matter of realizing that it's actually not as complicated as it might seem. The primary goals of gear setup are making sure the car is always at RPM's where torque and power are high, according to its power band, and making the RPM drops between as small as possible. Most cars work well with the same basic setup: final to max, auto to 1, arrange the sliders in a close pattern so 1st is all the way left and 5th/6th are all the way right, then adjust final until the car launches smoothly and has enough top speed. It's only for 4WD's and low-powered FF's where things change a bit, and for that you can still use the same prcoess, just use a higher auto setting of 6-8.
@@TeaKanji aight, cool, right, yeah i remember you saying that ij your ultimate guides, ill refer to those again when i do try to do some hard races with weaker cars
This is awesome!!! And btw I have your old tuning guide downloaded and realised that your lotus Elise 111r is really slow and unfun to drive. Maybe I'll come to edit this comment later with my tuning that is very much the opposite of what you did to that car. Also the stabilisers need to be on 1, since with or without them the car will wobble like a gelatin at high speeds, so at least let the body roll to keep the wheels in contact with the ground.
What's up dude Hope ur well R u going to make a gt5 ultimate guide??? Making set ups for cars is harder in gt5 and I after over 13 years of playing it still can't make a good set ups😅
i just found out that the dodge srt-4 can do the supercar festival but its front tire wear is bad if you use sport softs so maybe you can do supercar festival in it edit: it somehow beats a ford gt, barely
Been on this for daaaaays and cant do it without upgrading the crap out of thr car. Can u try toyota starlet trophy, with the oldest starlet, i think its 78, but plus changed it to 82, with only a level 2 NA, and sports tires? This has got to be thr hardest mission in the game at least to me.
It took a bunch of resets, but yes, it's possible. I had to reset until I got Seattle Short Reverse, it seems to be the easiest track to do this on. The AI is quite slow in the mid-section of the track and you can divebomb the AI on the final corner. This car is pretty awful though, it feels so sluggish in 3rd gear and it has low grip. The AI can push you around and ruin your race as well, and unless you save state at the start of the race, you're forced to reset again for an ideal track.
At first I was not impressed by the speed
Then I realise the speed is in mph 😂
You just made your own Regera 😅
2:14 "YOU GOT BOOST POWER"
This SLR certainly handles about as well as Black Bull or Fat Shark does.
@@TeaKanji That's funny considering the launch was like the Space Angler or Fire Stingray 😄
For some reason the red blinking 1 is stupidly hilarious to me.

Fantastic, glad to hear the tunes worked out well and inspired you to dive into the rabbit hole of SpecDB.

Feels like driving the GT by Citroen with the single gear

also that f zero gx music hit the spot XD
Chaparral 2j: has someone summoned me?🗿
There's just something so cool about seeing 180mph with only 1st gear. Now I want to know if it's possible to beat Supercar Festival in reverse.

These vids inspire me to try and push my GT2 or 3 cars to their limits for vids...too bad i barely understand gear ratios, haha

@TeaKanji thanks for doing it 8m just glad dven z legend had some trouble with this. Everyone in Aspec discord just telling me it's a skil issue lol
slr moment
bruh.
lmao does that game let you save that gearing ratio?
it does yeah
