"I'm a fighter, not a quitter." Yet another U turn...
Fastest u turn she ever did 😂😂

At least she's consistent, in that regard.
Remember, the Tories will ALWAYS put party before country. The next week should be viewed through that lens.
Themselves before party and country.

There are talents but they aren't crazy enough to be voted in by those at the top that aim to put party before people (and ultimately destroy either to sheer, misplaced ideology).

Not a monarchist at all, and I'm certainly aware of the precedent that the monarch is never supposed to interfere with British politics, but I reckon if Charles dissolved Parliament and called a general election he'd be hailed as a hero across the nation
I was thinking about it too. I'm not sure he'll take the risk though.
Uh, Charles I?
I have no idea how one sums up that absolutely bonkers time in British history as "interfering".
There absolutely needs to be an election. I don't think it is difficult to argue a case that dissolving parliment and calling for an election is a necessity for the well-being of the people and country.
Economy in the crapper, government is unstable, people are suffering because of the disgustingly self-serving, gaslighting, and frankly, moronic political BS that has been the last decade of Tory rule.
Hmmmmmmm Look what happened to the last King who dissolved parliament !!!
He should do it.
Si many people dont understand what a constitutional monarch can or can't do. In this context, Charles or any other monarch is powerless, as Parliament is Sovereign, and not the Monarch. As long as there is a party with a democratic majority, he cannot do anything. The only time he could step in is that Parliament cannot physically function. It can, and it does, even though we dint likr it or want it. It's time for a reality check, and part of that is understanding how and why your country runs the wsy it does. It's time to become citizens again, instead of mere subjects. Time to make the effort to learn how yhe game id played. At least now, a hugge percentage of the counyry has been disabused of the notion that responsible government is automatic in this country. It clearly isnt, and as voters we have to start stepping up to the challenge of getting our democracy to be more responsive to the needs of the many, and not just the few. That means a greater interest, and if possible, a greater engagement beyond just 'me and mine', but 'ours.' And 'ours' is every citizen in society. Not just those not being thrown under the bus this week. We're better than this. So many groups have been thrown under the bus, and few have stood up for them and been heard. It's time we started hraring, because as Liz Truss and her cabal showed, they won't stop destroying other people, until they run out of victims. And that means nobody is safe. Tge wealthy dont even want to see those who arent like them. They don't even want to share the same front door, so can you trust your future, and your children's future to people who teach you to hate? To punch down and sideways, while they price you out of a decent standard of living? And lose your rights to boot? Choose wisely and choose well. But choose...
Isn't it obvious that Brexit is at the root of British political instability? The UK now competes with Italy in both political and economic stability.

As of late afternoon 17th October 2022, reasonable estimates suggest that even after the reversal of the Conservative Government September Mini Budget, the cost to the country is thirty billion pound. That’s thirty thousand million pounds - £30,000,000,000.
It’s very difficult to visualise what that amount of money will buy, but if look at how much it cost to build the Royal Liverpool Hospital as a yard stick and make an adjustment for the overspending brought about by the failure of the Pfi and estimate the cost at say four hundred million - £400,000,000 per hospital then it less then three weeks the casino economics of the Conservative Government has thrown away the equivalent of 70 major hospitals.
Will the media please, in its forthcoming interviews with members of the Conservative Party and the various think tanks which support it, emphasise the extent of the damage the party has done by referencing practical examples of what these losses mean.
All of this was completely unnecessary and everyone who supported the policy should hang their head in shame and the party properly face up to the damage they have done.

I read somewhere that as an ex PM she will now be eligible for a £100k a year pension?? This should not be allowed to happeN. Like bankers in the past, she tanked our economy, housing market, etc., and should be eligible for absolutely nothing!!
Cameron forced to resign, May forced to resign, Johnson forced to resign and now Truss forced to resign. Do we really have to put up with these people for another two years?
Lettuce for PM!
This is not a democratic country
Cuts don't need to be made. Where have 12 years of cuts got us, absolutely nowhere,
Why is it that the leader of the country does not need to be highly qualified and intelligent? It's like letting a complete amateur fly a 737 and wondering why it crashed.
Instant reaction at 2.30pm? Most instant reactions happened nearly an hour earlier.

40 days too many but at least it comes to an end now.
Nice to see Andrew Marr batting for the Conservatives again. Glosses over Sunak's failures etc.
The soggy Centre just wants to prop up the Liberal paradigm at all costs.
The fact that Mordant is seen as more assertive than Sunak is no comfort. Truss appeared more assertive than Sunak and look what happened. The same catastrophe cannot be allowed to happen again.
It’s Mordaunt … more daunting than Jacob the sheep … 😺
