0.5mpg for 4 bigazz V8s at full throttle really isn't that bad... Engine tech has come along way! These are epic motors. Kind of like jet engines. Capable of massive power for work (and fun) though usually running efficiently at far less... 70mph is crazy on the water for a big boat like that too!
Most folks have no clue what is required to maintain something like this!! 1 day of offshore fishing will run you about a grand when all is said and done! Top to bottom cleaning after fishing 3 to 4 hours! Better have a cleaning crew on the payroll!! Lol! Awesome boat!!

They (7 Marine 627) are about 100 lbs more than the Yamaha 425 XTO - but either one is about 300 MORE pounds than the Mercruiser 450R. That's a huge difference. With quad power, that's an additional 1200 pounds!
Steven D I believe that Yamaha themselves acknowledged that it wasn’t the point of the XTO to be light, and I know lots of peoples experiences with the black anchor have rubbed them the wrong way.
