Very well done to the work men and fishermen who saved these guys lives. Excellent effort guys. Did the coastguard learn anything watching!!!!!!!!!! Shocking 😮

Old fashioned saving common sense by ordinary people.
While trained personnel are ticking box's for self assessment on health and safety!.

This reminded me when a group of us tried to rescue two body boarders who got I to trouble next to cliffs at Polzeath. Unfortunately, both never survived . Well done to those who entered the rough sea

Perhaps they could replace the 'Search and Rescue" sticker on their comfy warm 4x4, with "Stand Around and do nothing" 😢

There are times when even the smallest of vessels used by the RNLI can't get them into the location . Watching this video this is one of them and they are rare. The smallest boat of the RNLI would of been ripped to shreds and been in a worse state than the fishing boat and you then have 3 more lives that need rescuing.

These Coast Guard guys should step down-they are too old for the job. What a shambles! Four of them, and not one got wet. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing-they could hardly climb on the wall and just walked back and forth. It was a total disgrace. They put members of the public in danger, leaving them to do the rescuing instead.
I really hope this is followed up with an inquiry, and the four members involved should be suspended and sacked. How brave those members of the public were, going into the water and risking their own lives. This could have gone horribly wrong. Thank God everyone made it out safely

I have to say, what a complete mess! Had a ladder, didn't use it. Had enough bodys to form a chain along the outside of the wall... ect ect.... I know you shouldn't judge people in situations like this.... But that poor Fisherman was in dire need of help. As he's removed, eventually, the poor man had almost all his clothes ripped off him! Cuts and abrasions over hiw entire lower body and no doubt suffering from hypothermia. You dont want to create a further tradgedy by getter too many people in the water but until a couple of the guys decided "enough was enough" we were looking a poor guy who almost drowned due to utter incompetence. 😢

Wow RNLI did absolutely nothing whilst members of the public reacted like lightening to get the 2 guys out the water, one of them even going in at a risk to himself. Is this what the coastguard and RNLI have come to? Quick as anything to rescue immigrants but when it's their own they just stand back and let untrained members of the public do the job. The incompetence shown here is unbelievable.. they should be chastised for this shit show. Hope the guys all in the water are OK.

Cannot see any RNLI presence on site? Perhaps to can identify where on the video you can identify them.

It’s always so sad when extremely large ships run aground on shallow rocky shorelines often breaking the ship into pieces, causing widespread ecological damage and even taking the lives of the crew.

Credit to the man who runs to help. Hope the man left on board made it to safety. Easy to criticise from the keyboard: harder when you’re there on the wall.

These officials showed the exact same behaviour as those English cops a few years back who casually stood and watched a child drown in a 4ft deep pond because they didn't want to risk their own lives. Unbelievable.
