Barnaby, I really enjoy you and Jorri together. I’m closer to Jorri’s age and live in the US, so I know my outlook is different but I do agree that we need to give this system more time, need to strengthen the team and remember the injuries we have had with Ange Ball the last two seasons. His style of play insists on having a full squad of interchangeable positions. Levy must make some changes. You can’t put a manager who wants to play like Ange and then not support the team with quality players. But I do want him to throw the teenagers out there. They are fresher and you can then show Daniel Levy that experienced players are needed now! 10:50

The jury is out on big Ange the moment he walked in the door for a lot of this fan base. The measuring stick now for any manager is going to be the period where Poch had us punching above our weight. Poch and to a greater margin Levy won the lottery with that core group of players. Prime Kane, Son, Eriksen, Dele, Dembele, Toby, Jan and Hugo. How many from our current lot are on par or better than those names. We have had deadwood for years. You have to go through the pain process sometimes more than 1-2 seasons before you see growth. Levy isn't running a club to win, he's purely about the cash. Who sacks a manager before a cup final? His stock would have been higher with the fans if we'd have won but to save a couple of million quid he sacks Mourinho and loses credibility in the long run , very short sighted, but that doesn't matter to him. Only cash does and there are many many examples of that behaviour.
The manager he sacked was on a poor run of form for us if I remember correctly. Though he had won finals before Levy may have believed we had more chance of winning with him gone, and though I was surprised I can understand that thinking. If you refuse to understand that may be the thinking and that's on you. The statement 'Levy isn't running a club to win, he's purely about the cash' does not resonate anything with me, just state its your opinion/conjecture as its not a fact. Also I wouldn't mind if you state some of the examples you allude to.
Cuti can blame levy, but why are we surprised, the clubs model not going to change simple. I think the reason why we have big spaces in midfield is because we did not play very high line, the defence did not squeeze the pitch maybe because of injuries to Romero and VDV just coming back and biss and Sarr’s recovery runs where not good enough anytime Chelsea beat the press with Lavia. Think this was down to the lack of freshness in midfield.
Are squad pretty good but no depth at all once injuries happen..Chelsea was not an issue until both our CB’s went out. I I don’t buy that Chelsea made an adjustment and then just beat us. We lost both center backs in the first half and then suddenly Chelsea starts doing well. We had one center back the rest of the game and a guy who is playing there and it’s not even his position

I’ve no issue with the theme of his words, just the timing and thick layer of hypocrisy. If he wants better players then play better as it’s harder to buy ready made top level players without being a winning team or having Champions League Football. He should focus more on being a leader on the field for Spurs than always seemingly prioritizing following Messi and Argentina around. But it’s true, these comments sure do make it easier to push through a mover this summer….
