They are made of MDF, the R and J are 120cm tall and the & is 80cm. About 15cm thick. The R is stupidly heavy and weights about 20kg. Good thing is they are so strong they cand stand drunk people on top during weddings :D
Balloons = top
Camera = top
Idea = top
craftmanship = top
helping friends to enjoy their day = top
all in all = over the top!
loved it, thanks!
+Martin Schatz Thank you Martin for your nice words :) Appreciate it! Glad you liked it
Very very cool - everything! The sanding drill attachment, the trick with the balloons, the video. Well done!
+CMR Woodworks | Chris McDowell Thanks Chris!! thanks for stopping by and subscribing!
Love this!!! Great tip with the balloons! No one really thinks of it, yet it's such a simple and effective idea! This is the perfect video to show clients when they ask why things are so expensive. That's a lot of work and for only 3 characters. Thank you for sharing this with us!!! ❤Andrea
+kharlie22 thank you!!!
This was an amazing build. Loved the creativity of the shots. The attention to detail in the build is inspiring. Overall, really impressed. Thanks for sharing.
+The Naked Carpenter Thank you very much for the nice words!! glad you liked it!
Awesome, loved the typography, the sanding techniques and the projection of the design to actual size! Awesome wood bending! Well done!
+Scrap wood City Thanks man!! It was a ton of sanding so I tried different things, all of them tiring :P Projecting the letters worked great to get some reference points and rough lines but then I used a broken bandsaw blade as a "phisical spline" to draw smooth lines in the real world :) It took more time than a template but much more fun. Thanks for watching and sharing!!
Wow!!! A lot of good techniques presented here. I especially liked the balloon "clamps". Great work.
Thanks a lot man!! appreciate it
Seatbelt on the "&" sign cracked me up. Nicely done, man!

+Woodworking Barcelona Thanks Lluis! they did but now they don't have room for them :D haha. Thank you!!
What did you use on the bottom of the "&" sign? I'm attempting to do something similar and i need to stabilize a curve. BTW.. you ROCK!
Hi! thanks a lot! those are just some round feet i found at the hardware store. Just a big nail with a thick head and a rubber washer in between :)
What kind of router bit are you using to trim the edges in order to make it 3D so you can insert the side pieces?

Thanks a lot Ron! glad you liked it. I didn't get your question thogh, sorry :D what do you mean?
It was a joke. I loved seeing the "&" traveling in the car. The & could have its own RUclips channel of it traveling the world.

Man this is so nice and beautiful video! Congratulations.:)
+Make it Extreme Ευχαριστώ πολύ φιλε!!
Wow nice job! its exactly what i'm looking for (G&A).what kind of wood did you use ? Hey is there anyway you can make it for me and i purchase it from you ? I'm in the United state. Can i buy or have the list of material and instructions so i can buy them, then go to home depot or any place so they can cut it for me? is it possible?
I used mdf :) there is an instructable in the description!
Thank you

+sdmcustom woodworking Thank you Steve! thanks for watching!
do you have any idea or alternative I could use to cover a similar project. I'm not a wood worker and do not have a the tools you have and I'm kinda stuck on my project. I purchased wood veneer and I'm struggling to get it to adhere and the nails go straight through it
+Aldridge Westrich I have never worked with veneer so I really don't know what to recommend you :S sorry
Moritz Frank-Meuren I used mdf, you'll need something more natural to make that work :P but in general it's a great method!
Aldridge Westrich Styrofoam or foam boards glued together
what a fantastic idea with great effect👍😊
Thanks Neil! glad you like it!
Hola!
Great job!
Using Baloons as Clamping Tools = Terrific!
Thanks!! glad you like it! When will we have a Piher solution based on the concept? :D
You can use a lot of small F clamps (Piher M, MM or Z Model ;-) for that kind of curve clamping. Take a look to the work of Matthias Pliessnig. He is a master in that kind of stuff. You can find in the market (or DIY) vaccum presses for curve clamping... or High Pressure Air Bags, but these ones are used to lift heavyweight rather than clamping works. I will pass your note to the Engeneering Department, this would be ineresting . Stay tuned!
Great! thanks for the recomendation! it is interesting! :) you know if you start selling it, give me some credit! :D hahah I'm actually a mechanical engineer from UPM (Madrid). (so if you need help... :P) Looking forward to seeing your I+D+i working on something cool! Cheers!
