I just learnt this on yesterday Korean class, and I don't really understand on the term "아요/어요". But after watching this video, I understand it. Your explanation is precise, and simple. Thank you so much for the explanation.

First word I learnt in Korean was 보고싶다, then 보고싶어 (the word was coming from a Korean guy. lol)..after that I decided to learn the Korean language!!!
But the first name I learn how to spell and read in Korean was 태민..my favourite artist!!
    What a motivational word..

‼️So is polite ending 아요 어요 basically -ing at the end of words??
    Like “to sleep” becomes “sleepING”???
OR is it like “to sleep” becomes “sleeps.”
    Can someone please confirm?🙏

-입니다 is formal expression of 이예요/예요 which is similar meaning to "is/are/am" in english. But there are a lot of verbs and adjectives in english. Korean ending words 아요/어요 is attaching to verbs/adjectives. 입니다 only attach to noun like your name.
