Useful apps for korean learning, busuu ( good but not enough courses but it can help you as a beginner ) Falou, (good but u gotta pay for the full app. Still good otherwise tho) Memrise, ( no ai voice ) Duolingo is how I started but the ai voice makes it really hard to master pronunciation skills aswell as listning. I'm still new to korean but these have helped way more than duolingo! :)
Love the way you did your video on learning Korean. This was good to hear from different people speaking. Keep it up 👍🏻 and hope to see more videos like this.
This is a very nice video to learn basics words in Korean. I like it because I can hear many times the words and from different persons with different prononciation. Most of the way, when we start learning a language, it is always with the same voice. Thank you for your good work!
cute video! i just personally think everything should be formal, since it's for beginners for now...and it's nasalization that makes the 'm' sound like 'b' and the 'n' sound like 'd'🫶🏽
Thanks for your comment, nasalization also exists in Korean but in these cases we are talking about denasalization. It is the loss of nasal airflow where nasal consonants like [m] and [n] lose its nasality and are heard as [mb] and [nd]. As I like to explain, it's like trying to say for example [ne] while pinching your nose, thereby blocking the air through your nose to get a similar pronunciation as in Korean. 😁
Guys! Now practice it: ❤😂 1) Hi 2) Bye 3) you're here? 4) let's go 5) of course 6) I like it 7) I don't like it 8) but/however 9) anyway 10) I'm okay 11) just because 12) don't worry 13) and/ also 14) Mom 15) Dad 16) hello? 17) I don't know. 18) so/ therefore 19) wait a moment 20) the thing is... 21) I'm sorry! 22) perhaps 23) I love you. 24) Ah, I see 25) All right/ I understand 26) thank goodness 27) nevermind/ it's fine 28) But still 29) this 30) that 31) no way 32) actually 33) I'm not sure 34) no way/ don't tell me 35) really 36) today 37) tomorrow 38) Now 39) that's right! 40) in that case/ then 41) there is/ it exists 42) there is not 43) excuse me 44) thankyou (formal) 45) thankyou (casual) 46) okay/ Sure 47) I'm going 48) I'll go 49) Go inside 50) Go/Bye!
Thanks, this is more easy and fun to learn seeing how every word is pronounced by actors in kdramas we've watched. The pronouciation is much different from the spelling though! That's make it a little difficult to remember or memorize.
Yes, Korean has very different sounds compared to English which sometimes makes transliteration difficult, and should just be considered an approximation. For this reason it is often recommended not to focus on the Romanization of Korean words too much but to learn to read Korean as early as possible, which I also have made several videos about. Thanks for watching! 🙂
This video is awesome!❤ What a great way to teach someone with their favorite Stars what's the spelling and pronunciation on the left written in English and Korean great idea❤😊
This is SO COOL! I really appreciate the time you put into all the editing, getting together all those clips, organizing them, putting the subtitles. Great job! 🙏🏼👍🏼
this is so helpful, thank you! subscribed! hope you make lots of those in different ares (like maybe similar words that have different meanings, or just ares of words like animals, work, places, etc)
I love your videos!!! I do have one suggestion, when using the green on the background of the words don’t do white letters because is difficult to read…….I don’t know, maybe black letters
This video is exactly what I needed because I watched so many k-dramas that is more engaging and also because you show males and females saying the words or the phrases with different intonations it helps so much to understand. Do you think you can add a little bit of variety shows on there as well? Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you
Wow, очень актуальное видео, такие важные слова и крутые подборки с примерами. Нечего лишнего. Вы проделали большую, но очень полезную для начинающих работу. Огромное Вам спасибо ❤❤

😮우와 진짜 Finally I Found Something Great🎉, Engaging and fast for learning Korean language. I have One year experience but still not fluent now i will thank you so much keep it up!! 👍🏻✨ 파이팅 😅
I always wondered why some sounds didn't align! Like "j" and "g" in several pronunciations, especially in people's names, which I found very confusing. I've subscribed, though I didn't recognize any of the films shown. I really appreciate hearing the differences in pronunciation and the captions-- very useful! Thank you!
This list is missing WEAH? (why?), BOYO (what's that, what the hack), PALI (hurry, fast) and CHINCHA (truth, really, seriously) ❤ I speak no Korean, but they say those all the time 😅
can anyone explain when they say for ex : geuligo ..it sounds like "KHeuligo" and not the G soung. same when they say "gwenchana" it sounds like KHAEnchana.... are they really saying G or KH only?
Good question! The Korean consonant ㄱ is often Romanized as a "G", but you shouldn't attach too much importance to Romanization as it is often just an approximation and Korean has very different sounds. When ㄱ is at the beginning of a word, it is voiceless like in the English word "Kate", as you noticed. Compare this with the word "Gate" and notice how your throat vibrates and produces sound when pronouncing the G. ㄱ can also have this voiced /g/ sound in Korean, when it is in the middle of a word and right after another voiced sound, since it is very difficult to pronounce a voiceless consonant immediately following a voiced sound. Hope that makes sense! 😁
@@Learn.Korean.With.Kdramas wow rthankyou for telling the reason behind it!! but what about someone like me who just wants to speak and not read and write?? how do i know the sound if its G or KH or should i just go with KH with everything
No worries, there are often multiple ways to express the same thing, especially in Korean due to the different levels of politeness, though often with slight nuances. 모르겠어요 [moleugesseoyo] has a less direct meaning as in "I don't know/I'm not sure", whereas 몰라요 [mollayo] is more firm and can even come across as "I don't know/I don't care". Hope that helps! 😁
Indeed, as also stated in the video description, but you will still hear these words very often in real life and particularly in Korean TV shows, so they are very useful to know if you want to understand what is being said🙂
Good question! Strictly speaking it's neither an English L or R, but somewhere in between. However, this also depends on if the consonant is at the beginning, middle or end of a Korean word. When it's in the middle, like with 그래 [geulae] then it's usually pronounced more like an R. If it's at the end of a word, it usually has more an L sound 😁
Learning Korean on Duolingo, but this video is just what I needed when watching my kdramas. Thank you so very much. ❤❤❤❤😊
