You managed to capture pretty much every style of train locomotives during the time of change from the turbo to the LRC. The last I ever saw the turbo was on the extreme west siding inside the station behind a blue tarp in the mid 80's just before it was scrapped.
Looks more like early 80's considering the Amtrak paint schemes. Was it 1982? Operations and equipment look similar to what I saw going there in early 90's.
The first train is the montrealer train

What a mix of a train! Amtrak amfleet, 2 CN and a VIA
Wow The Montrealer back in 82 with a Baggage, 10/6 ,16/10 Slumbercoach, Amcafe, and 4 Amcoaches
And two cars still in phase 1!
They used the CN units as switchers as well as power on some of the commuter trains.
It's sad that those electric lines at Montreal are gone...

They are still there. The Deux-Montagnes and Mascouche commuter lines make use of them.
NICE CATCH WITH THE TURBO TRAIN!
Did CN RS18s have steam generators (or some of them)?

Yes, it was replace by AMT around the 90s
No all the TurboTrains were Scraped,
why do i see CN locomotives shifting via cars throughout the station
Times have change,
The video was taken before Early 70s, CN moved All traffic in & out Central Station,
Nice shooting. Too bad you could never get clips like that now, being so close to the rails...
Too bad these lines are not electrified anymore.
They still are north of the station through the tunnel.
Was CN still handling commuter operation around this period?
